Is he still on Club? Saw his instagram post about wanting a blue bike to ride because he is bored. Didnt know if that meant he went back home during off season so no bike, or if he doesnt have a team. Dude was picking it up at end of year.

Covid’s over, plenty of bikes to buy…how many of the users on vital have more than one bike yet a professional racer doesn’t have one sitting around to ride??

He's just back at home. Couldn't fit the bike in his carry on, so he'll have to wait till he heads back east to ride.

Curious how long he won't be on a bike? Seems crazy that is a pro, can't keep sharp in the off season. No vacations till you achieve your goals. Yes I'm old.

"deegs" is recovering from injury.  This is also Jett Reynolds first full time season so the break is "warranted" for his body.

Gotta agree. Seems strange to not have a bike at home. Seems some of these guys are above having to buy a practice bike. I guess most of them can't even do their own air filters anyway. Still crazy not to have something to pound laps at the local mx on.

Vholand is in Cali and riding a club bike. Seems odd they can't get The Reynolds a bike as well.

Yeah always found this odd as well that  Pro’s end up in a situation without a bike to ride. Sure Club doesn’t have to transport a bike back and forth, but I’m sure they could put in a call to Jett’s local Yami dealer and get him a freshie to practice on either as a demo or at cost.

I think its good to stay off the bike for awhile after the season. Let your body take a break.

If you are not going to start racing until January, why ride in October and take the risk of crashing and getting hurt? From Clubmx point of view, why spend the money on the upkeep of a bike to ride on in October?

Plenty of time in November and December to ramp it back up so you peak in January, or whenever the first east coast round is.

If Clubmx is doing WSX, with Reynolds, then i take back what i say.

ClubMX isn't doing WSX anymore.

You’ve obviously never had to count on racing a motorcycle to make a living. Getting hurt practicing or racing is part of the game. With the upwards trend Jett was on: This tactic is a sure fire way to be asking: Would you like fries with that? By the time his coast rolls around. He needs to be pounding laps until his hands and ass are bleeding at this point. If he was a vet c rider, Your take would make more sense🤷🏼‍♂️

He’s in Bakersfield, letting his body rest, exactly what he needs to be doing.

Are you kidding me? The  been resting for the last five years. And I say that with respect there’s nobody with more talent. That guy should be locked down in a facility getting ready to take that talent to where it belongs in the top five. Either that or you’re without a job in the next 18 months. Honestly man. ….

It’s cool that you think that, but he is still working through a few things.

Once he’s completely healthy and confident, he will be a threat. But he has to get there, healthy.

Can we get an injury count from the last 5 years resting? Feels like he’s put the work in, come back, get hurt/sick on repeat for the last 5 years. Give him a break.

Ya boy Deegs is at the mall shopping for LV.

Tell us again that you know nothing about physical training.   Many of the problems and injuries in this sport right now come from over training.  You have to rest.

Maybe Johnny O disagrees. As soon as Jett was healthy enough to ride, O Show had him doing laps. Everyone has their own opinion .In racing, results are what pay bills and allow kids that have no other skillset to invest and live comfortably after racing. Different paths, different results.

Sorry Charley, but Johnny kept him off the bike as long as possible. Plus there was a lot going on behind the scenes that helped Jett recover a lot faster, and kept in great shape, Jett has the money for that.

I will tell you with 100% certainty, Johnny is a firm believer in rest. What do you think he does with Hunter?
Johnny learned that the hard way with himself and Jeremy Martin.

From the club mx videos I saw of the outdoors. Jett could use a new trainer.

I'm pumped to see Jett put in a full season without getting hurt. If he can stay healthy he has the talent to put it in the top 5. His injuries started the minute he got off supermini and went to a 250. I don't think he has gone a year without injury since 2018?

When you tax the nervous system like motocross does, rest is the best thing one can do for performance. You can’t pull from a drained battery.

With injuries, and coming back less than 100%, the body compensates and begins to move less efficiently. So training becomes more of a grind, further draining the battery. This compounds over time. The result is a downward spiral that one can only get out of by pausing and truly taking the time to heal.

Very few take that time because we are so wired to “be productive”, not holding the awareness that doing nothing (calming the nervous system) IS productive in the long run.

When you balance out, you level up.

Tell that to RC, Villo, hurricane ect. That’s a big bunch of fucking bullshit. Honestly. The guys that win in This sport are gnarly motherfuckers. Yeah I get it. It’s 2024  everybody thinks it’s cool to sit on the couch and rest your body, but let’s let the history books do the talking.  Get gnarly or don’t win. That’s the way it is.

When they say rest, they don't mean sitting on the couch. Probably some low-impact movements and certainly not the intense balls to the wall cycling and running programs they do along with pounding out laps. It's not that they don't do anything at all unless they are broken.

RC and Villi trained so hard it burnt them out and they were done before hitting there 30’s.

Just like deegs got surgery and is probably keeping on cardio im sure Jett isn’t just sitting on a couch eating Cheetos all day. Give it a rest man get your emotions in check.  you don’t have any clue what his day to day is or what he is working through.
