The audacity of someone saying another rider will beat Jett!

Jett isn't even one of the winniest riders of all time.

Prado is going to be awesome. I think he'll do better than most think in sx as well as outdoors, but in both, it will be a learning year.

He's improved quite a bit from 2023 and is every bit as fast as Jett imo.

Have you ever seen Jett race?  Jett, like the true greats, is a notch above everyone he races against - this will include Prado.

On a race that Jorge Holeshoted and Jett was last at the end of lap 1. Race 2 they started together, Jett gapped him, turning a couple 1.49 versus 1.51 a lap for Jorge. Speedwise, I'll take Jett over Jorge. Buuut, the starts and the way Prado can get away by doing a perfect race without mistake could beat Jett... on a track each of them don't know. A lot of unexperience on the tracks and schedule of the day would help Jett against Jorge, and let's be honest, even without that advantage Jett is already one of the toughest guys ever to finish in front of...

I don`t remember the Qualifying race, but Jorge won over Jett there also. So Jorge was better in 2 of 3 races that weekend. Maybe the only weekend I saw Jett "struggle" that year, after coming from a perfect season in AMA (22-0).

Skjermbilde 2024-09-29 214721.png?VersionId=0J

That qualifying race Prado got the start and Jett didn't. It's tough to know if Prado was just managing his lead but Jett was clearly fast. If it had been a 30 minute race Jett might have caught him.

I wouldn’t set expectations too high for the first season, there’s a lot to learn about US racing and the new bike. He just needs to try and make it to every race and learn. I see him being consistently Top 10 in SX and podium level outdoors. Anything better than that would be very impressive IMO

The biggest unknown is the move to Kawasaki. That will be by far the biggest adaptation that Prado will have to deal with.

Prado will have to challenge sexton/tomac and hunter to get to jett lol.

Surely Prado’s ridden US Kawi’s bike right?

Jett all the way next year, won’t even be close. That show at Vegas was next level. That Honda was a rocket at the starts.

Im a prado fan but I don’t see him having much in terms of wins  next year , he’s got to learn a completely different bike after riding Austrian bikes all of his career he’s got to learn tracks he’s never ridden and a completely different format , I don’t doubt there will be moments but I think the year after will interesting ( maybe not jett speed still ) but imo the best version of prado will be beat chase and hunter , it’s great for pro motocross especially with how many 450 guys will be retiring soon 👍

Indoors, Prado will have to adapt. He will progress quickly but he will not be a title contender yet.

But outdoors, if he feels comfotable with the new bike, he will have not rival. Prado is too consistent . Great start, pushing first 2 laps and cruising to the end.

I don´t think America realize what is coming. And yes, I don´t like Prado. Even in Spain he´s got many detractors.

In supercross? Prado will be lucky to finish in the top ten. Actually...he'll be lucky to finish healthy.

And if he gets a bad start outdoors he has to pass 40 guys, not 16-22 like the gp’s have recently. But like others, I think he just needs to make it through supercross. The ones he did last year were all wet for the most part, so not real indication.

When?

I'm obviously aware of what’s going on with GG. Duh. Yes GG and Husky will probably get axed after Pierer Mobility Group finishes restructuring.

i haven't heard of the immediate closing of GG and Husky factories. I know there’s a reshuffling going on but Barcia will remain on a GG through ‘25, under maybe a KTM tent.

KTM stated nothing official to stop production of GG and Husq motorcycles in ‘25 (yet).

The EU GG team is going away although I think they still have an EMX250 or 125 team. TLD is out in the US and it looks like for now they are combining Husky and GG and going down to 1 450 rider each. It think there is a lot of speculation that one of those two teams will eventually go away but I wonder if they will keep Husky 450 and GG 250 or something like that. It is also possible one of the satellite teams like Club goes GG. Husky in MXGP was extended for 2 more years. I don't think KTM is planning on stopping production of either brand regardless. Suzuki doesn't have any factory teams and you can still buy those bikes...

If he was on a KTM & could get through SX then I think Prado would give Jett a headache outdoors. New country, new team, new manufacturer I can’t see him beating Jett to a title next year.

Just one more thing showing the AMA Nationals are the number 1 MX series in the world. I just wish Herlings and Tim G would come over.

Yeah he completed half of a regional 250 season.

If Prado stays healthy I think he will finish top 5 in points in SX.

Did he not ride a 450 this year? He did 4 rounds and left in the top ten in points in 450 SX this year. He still finished 22 in standings after only 4 rounds.

IMO, tall ask.

Jett, Hunter, Tomac, Sexton, Webb, Roczen, Anderson, JCoop, Barcia, Stewart.

I have seen him race. I'm willing to bet that since he's turned pro, I've seen him race more than you.

I was spelling with an Aussie accent.  Jorge hasn't even begun yet in the States, and already has 4 World Titles so he's no slouch.  And hopefully, he makes you Jett fans eat your words 😉

Jett is awesome, and will probably break records, but his fans are in another category altogether.

And hopefully he gels with the bike. First time in his life on a different bike than KTM or GG. Can go either way

Yep, that Kawi might feel like a tank compared to his GG. Not sure why he chose it ($ obviously)? Should’ve stayed with the GG.

He rode the bike this spring and liked it better.

In year 1, Prado will just be happy to top 10 in SX.  Outdoors, I think he'll be in the Hunter, Sexton and probably Tomac mix.  Although I see everyone closing the gap a little to Jett, he's still going to be the class of the field.

Prado is going to absolutely crush it outdoors. He's going to beat Sexton every time out. That is to say, he'll be fourth. 🤣

Sexton rode the ktm to and liked that better and see how that went,..

Riding a bike at a perfect test track and race it on a real race track is two different things. But Prado has a good technique and a smooth riding style so he will probably adapt to any brand easier than many of the other riders.
