Now, I'm sure he's just venting his frustration, but could you imagine 2025 AMA nationals with Jett, Hunter, Eli, Chase, Prado, and Herlings? Don't know what team could make it possible but we've got all off-season to dream now...

Why sx? Why not outdoors only?

Just skip SX and kick ass in outdoors. I think he would seriously consider. He has nothing to prove in MXGP.

Not likely . SX is king here but if anyone could pull off a contract like that it would be Herlings .

He's got a better chance of winning the MXGP title next season than winning the AMA title .

I have the utmost respect for JH84’s skills, especially in the sand. It’s a shame he seems like a complete self-absorbed dick off the bike.

Its seems like jeffrey is fed up with all the mxgp bullshit that comes with infront and loungo. I dont blame him and i bet most of them are. Shit tracks, shit locations , half of the damn gates are empty and so on. I hope all the top guys come over and leave that shit series behind. The more talent leave the less people will attend trust me. Coenen bros, kay de wolf and a few more next to leave. Bring it!

Herlings said at begining of this year, that JL18 is fastest rider in the world, even his 2017 form could be not so good...so i dont see him doin full season,we can hope for some rounds, similar like Cairoly did, with about same results

Weird thing was Herlings got penalised, yet Tim Gasjer received no penalty for same infringement in first corner of second Moto?😡

...maybe if Jeffery didn't do every off-weekend money race, he would be more rested,  and could have maybe  gone beast mode more often to pass Prado and Gajser?

I don't understand the dude,  he has more than enough money and yet he burns himself out racing every weekend for a few euros...

Mr Luongo, you’ve got mail.

I don’t think Jeffrey is going anywhere, but that is a direct shot. Sure would be cool if he and Tim joined the party.

I used to think that also but he’s toned it down the last few years. His career has been marred by injuries and the side effect has been a huge slice of humble pie. I like to hear what he has to say these days.

GateDrop has several Herlings interviews from this year on youtube, just check them out! He sounds nothing like 3-6 years ago, always talks great about other riders, specially gives a lot of praise to Prado and Jett. He definitely ate a lot of humble pie.

And considering his off reason racing, he just really likes racing in general and according to him that's the best way to race himself back into shape. When you listen to late 2023 or early 2024 interviews, he didn't believe he would be a contender again but I think he showed us fans and himself that he can still win another title. I think the season was a big win for him, he finally completed a season again since 2021 and probably was as fast as ever in the sand. He really needs to stay healthy now and he has a good chance next year.

Well, his initial plan was to race MXGP through 2025 and then finish off with a full Pro Motocross season in 2026 I think. But in a interview this year he said that he is really happy that he doesn't have to race Jett.. Now with Prado also going over to the US I don't think we will ever see him do a full season there. Wouldn't be surprised if he see him extending his MXGP contract next year though.

He says he’s glad he doesn’t have to race Jett, I’m sure there is some truth to that, but he’s going to race him next week, no doubt he’s still backing himself to win

Nothing wrong with speaking your mind. Pity most top riders don’t.

Right. And monetarily, at this point in his career, he could skip the big money from sx. If he really wanted to give the Nationals a go, you would hope KTM would give him an mx only contract. Kinda day dreaming here but it's not the most ridiculous premise. I just thought it but has he been on a KTM his entire racing career?

That, and some people take Europeans' bluntness (especially when speaking English) as being rude/dickish.

I live in a region full of Dutch farmers. A high percentage are truly assholes.

I think Herlings would have been punished by the AMA as well as he did not really slow down,

It’s because a lot of fans don’t want riders to do that. Especially here on vital there would be backlash.

Here’s my hot take: He should stay in MXGP unless he can get paid significantly more in USA.. I don’t see any benefits to him racing ProMotocross/Supercross this late in his careers and only downsides like potential injury and possible reputation damage if he isn’t able to win.
