A 450 supercross specialist for the past almost decade racing a 250 outdoors for team USA at the des Nations? Hmmm, maybe we could get Jared Mees to race the 450? Good lord what a shit show. Everybody chime in with the Decoster is an icon and genius, and Webb was great on a 250 before my grandkids were born.

I like how the goal posts move for people who despise deegan, last year snd early this year certain people hoped he will fail but now they are angry for pulling out of mxdn wouldnt thay mske you a fan?

Make it make sense.

It's quite a simple answer,   Webb isn't having surgery to have hardware removed.  I believe they are playing it smart and focusing on  2025 SX.  He didn't get the championship last year. And  honestly I think it's a smart move if they want him 110% come A1 this year.   IMO His job will be to win the 1W this year and it isn't gonna look good if he doesn't.   He was hired to win AMA championships.  I get the disappointment in regards to him skipping out on the MXoN - personally I love that race and would love to see him out there. But I also understand their decision. They had that extra screw put in to make his wrist stronger as a temporary fix to get him through the AMA season.

Ed, I understand. The way I see it they employed the same strategy last year. How did that work?

You keep saying this but haiden was going to go to mxon if eli was going to go which completely contradicts this madeup excuse that the hardware (for an injury that didnt happen wink wink) needs to be taken out asap.

There you go again taking rumor and speculation and turning it into fact....

It didn't ...  So I'd assume that's another reason they are playing it safe.  But who knows what will happen this season. I'd assume he will be the favorite but nothing is guaranteed in this sport.

Unless Brian lets go of the reigns it seems he will never represent until he is no longer a title threat. I believed the kid in the interview when he said he wanted to go.

What about last year?

Like the one about Star being too broke?

Don would never do that.

If he's healthy and  the Top American in the outdoors come the 2025 MXoN and refuses to go ...I agree it would not look good at all.   It should be interesting and only time will tell.

Classic Vital....  The Cooper Webb thread becomes another Deegan thread.

Cooper was good on a 250...  Cooper was good at outdoor MX.  I used to watch the Charlotte GP round on occasion on youtube to see Coop run down the fastest 250 rider on the planet and win.

But that was then and this is now.  We'll need a serious renaissance from Coop to make this a good one.  I think he beats Webster...  But does he beat Webster by as much as Hunter beats AP?  This gets really interesting...

The best part is Star gets half the tab picked up by the Brits.

How many of you constantly complaining about Deegan not going to mxon are paying your own way there, volunteering your time, health, and future career to make the promoters money.  If not, where is your patriotism.  They would probably would love to have more volunteers to help make the event more profitable.  I am sure there is some skill you have that can help out.

There’s bad takes and then there’s this…

Yep officials at Red Bud should have a list of riders that are allowed to wave the Stars and Stripes at Red Budddddd next year, hint only 3 names should be on that list

Now, the anti-Deegan nutjobs are turning into flag fascists, wanting authoritarian rule over who can and who can’t hold or wave an American flag all because rider you didn’t like to begin with isn’t going to a race.

At this point, you all look like big babies throwing a tantrum. Deegan isn’t going to the MXoN this year, get over it.

He could have it done at Thanksgiving and race west. Couple weeks max to let skin and soft tissues heal. The lie in all of this is going to be obvious when he's on vacation for a couple weeks and back riding same time as everyone else.

So you’re privy to his medical records, extent of his injury, and you’ve seen the X-rays of his wrist to be able to make a professional medical analysis and diagnosis?

He shouldn’t be allowed  to go next year either. If you dodged it in 2023 & 2024 when it wasn’t super easy, you forfeit 2025 when EVERYONE will want to go.

Nobody is being a Flag Facist either.

People just object to BS marketing flag waving / fake patriotism merely to stir shit against the Lawrence’s then dodging it once it takes a little effort.

To 99% of American race fans a 1/1 MXDN MX2 victory anchoring a win at our sports Olympics means a hell of a lot more than winning an 8 race regional feeder class SX title in the long term. Nobody cares about those titles a few years later. Nobody

What will Webb be riding, since Star doesn’t support the race?

It's just the Deegan's who don't support the race. That's been covered already.

Until next year....

I'm not sure on this but doesn't Factory Yamaha pay for the 450 guys? Maybe that's part of the reason for Webb going. Star only supplies the bike but Factory Yamaha pays for everything else.

Respect.

Makes Deegan look like even more of knob head.

Absolutely. Respect for Webb!

Shame for Deegan. Too bad his ego is so big he won't even think twice about it.

You dorks turned a Webb thread into another one about your favorite rider….nice.

I’d agree that Simon, Kay, and Tom should beat Cooper on paper, but those first two names have had a lot of sketchy moments this year. Vialle will be really hard to beat but it wouldn’t be shocking at all if a motivated Webb gets it done. Tom hasn’t exactly been on fire lately.

Over there, I think Tom is a pretty clear favorite.  I think he wins MX2 again.  But this race does produce unusual results, like Coldenhoff going 1-1 in back to back years while struggling to get podiums in regular races.

Lol, man you've really shifted gears now. I thought Deegan's absence "has more to do with Star's inability to raise the proper funds" 🤣 your words, not mine.

Funny how you Deegan nuthuggers just go from one BS excuse to the next without ever admitting you're wrong:
