Actually, more recently yes.
I now realise he's very much the new "Bob".
I'm converted.
Yeah, but it’s not, and it shouldn’t be treated like that, but because it’s Haiden, it is.
I only caught a tiny bit of the nationals. But I saw a vid of Haiden riding a replica Smx track of Nc. He was playing around having fun on the bike doing riding backwards on steep faces. Then started riding playing a little doing no fiooters between doubles. Then he put the speed down. And I,m like whoa what a difference from last yr. He looks much better and stronger on the bike . And last yr he looked great. Vid then went to Brian racing a trk at Crandon Wi. It’s the Grand daddy of all off rd truck racing . Crazy amount of fans 50-80k or more & rowdy.
That mxdn race has been 99% off or not such a big deal anymore for yrs. RC beating Everys on a cr250 was the last great race b4 that 96 was a Great race . MC showing the world he’s the fastest. Tortelli thought he was the fastest 125 rider in the world winning every rnd but 1 dnf. Lamson got beat the yr b4 and was there to show the world , he was the fastest 125 rider in the world. And that he did beat everyone including the 500,s on a hilly track . While doing heal clickers off the quad down hill. Best ride ever in the race. Haiden vs De Wolf would b a great race . But so would Peter’s vs Hicks in AX. That’s probably a better race.

All the riders hv always been cocky just not on camera. But I never heard him say anything cocky. Going to someone’s pit , I think that’s his buisness. He’s the racer. He is just riding at a level no one else is willing to go to. Kinda like RC no one was willing to ride on the edge like that in his 125 days. And it wasn’t his training it was his riding.
Riding wise yes he is spectacular. He improved a lot in a short time. I once said he will never be able to beat Jett but I am not too sure of that statement anymore. Can't wait to see whats going to happen if he moves up to the 450 class. Wonder how he will adept to a 450 and if we will get to see silky smooth vs Barcia mode in the near future.
Been a fan since the beginning. I like the whole family.
Calm down gents, Deegan has a valid reason for not being able to represent the USA this year. He is having surgery to remove that hardware in his wrist and then he will be flying across to Cape Town South Africa for a holiday.
I'm gonna get to hang with him and cruise around the Western Cape site seeing. He is a good kid and his parents are 100% moto...down to earth like most normal folk.
Hayden has said he is in for the MXoNs next year and beyond if he is chosen.
You guys are blessed to have this young lad coming up...everything he has won is through hard graft and thorough preparation. It aint easy.
Next year he will race 250 SX and defend his outdoor title...in 26 he will race 450.
Give the lad a gap, he is still learning....he will get better on and off the track.
Yes, I'm a fan.
Apparently it's not Americans that are over the top....
HUGE fan of his Riding, Riding Style and Work Ethic Dude puts in the work for sure. When he talks I can't even stand him he answers his own questions in his mind I am guessing not the questions asked and he just seems so distant when talking and maybe it's because he's a kid but he sounds like such and idiot. Although his Dad kinda talks the same way so.......
Deegan is a young man and some of you act like he is the only one that’s ever done this stuff.
I remember a time at Unadilla when a young ride slowed down while leading and let his number one competitor pass him. Then he sped back up and passed him back. Then he did it again. All the while his dad was dancing in the background. He was also considered the fastest rider to ever ride a 125 and I don’t ever remember him doing the MXoN on a 125. Later on he did some dumb shit like pretend he was a police officer. Bottom line is look at what a great man James turned out to be.
Tough crowd. He should run a "Hatin' Deegan" buttpatch just to stir shit up 😄
Well, heres the deal, jetts not getting anymore perfect and any faster i think, Southpark will get better and betterm riding style may get better too. I think he will have Jetts number.
Yeah definitely. 100%!
Totally agree. What's next? Chugging Jack D from the bottle? No room for that in our sport. The kids.
The sheltered snowflakes on here would be crying if they heard the trash talking during NFL and NBA games. Even MMA and boxing go hard on the trash talking. Those guys get really personal with the trash talking. Nothing wrong with occasional trash talk in Moto. Especially if it’s mild. 🤦♂️
That would start an uproar on here 😂😂
Pit Row
Great point. The truth hurts with this crowd though. Sad but true. 💁♂️
I honestly think that Deegan's are taking advantage of the oldest trick in the book of PR and visibility; If 50% of the people absolutely love you and the other 50% of the people absolutely hate you, that means you are constantly talked and argued about. Nothing else gives you the numbers and visibility like that, and you can pretty easily see that in effect right here.
The kid can ride. How can you not be a fan of his riding? As far as his character goes, I prefer to reserve judgement. I know my character was far from fully-formed at 17. If I had Deegan's fame and money, I probably would have been an insufferable asshole (and I suspect that would be the case for many of us). Give him time to mature. The stuff being brought up is, in the bigger picture, pretty trivial.
I'm actually surprised he didn't have better results in SX. Brian had him on SX tracks from a young age because he knew the importance of it. There was no way I saw Vialle beating him for the SX title.
Perhaps the Deegan family is a lot more financially driven than some of you assume and they're simply focusing on the money/championships knowing just how short these moto careers can be. I really don't get all the hate about the MXDN as I think it lost it's luster years ago. If the MXDN doesn't pay, then I'm fine with getting another two weeks of healing, avoid the risk of injury, and take a nice family trip to get some R&R before preparing for the 2025 season. As others have said, he's got plenty of time to represent America in the MXON and maybe next year he won't have any hardware to remove.
Plus, with the season being so long now, perhaps the family just wants a little break in between the travel and meat grinder sessions at the test track.
Jett just turned 21 and has been on a 450 for one full season. His speed is maxed out already? What?
All though he had an sx track at his house as a kid, he basically always practiced it, and never really raced it much. Motocross, he has been practicing and racing since he was a kid also. I agree with you about no way Vialle was going to beat him for the SX title. I would say the 9 whoops definitely helped him.
Exactly Jett is just getting started and they think someone who has never raced a 450 already has his speed. Deeg hasn't even put together a full SX season on 250's. Jett won 6 straight titles. The mental gymnastics some people do on this site is outright hilarious to watch. Jett will continue to get better, and so will Deegan but to say Jett is done learning or growing as a racer is hilarious.
My hero's are humble off track and assassin's on it. He can ride 4 sure - but doesn't seem to be a decent human. Champions tends to be different and all seem to have this edge where they for some reason have a point to shove down someones throat or are act like they are hard done by even when winning. Max V in F1 is the same - #99 in Hockey - Brady - Jordan. This is where they find that extra 1% ?? It isn't nice or pretty but is their fuel.
As for MXDN.....i get it. The monkey's dance all year for way less than they deserve.......no way I'm risking injury for free. U want me to dance........pay up. None of them should go
It's an honor to be asked and I think riders should want to represent their country, and all else even, go if selected. If a rider is injured, has a surgery to get done, or some other obligation, then it's okay to forego the event. That seems reasonable. But I agree that many take it too far.
The clowns act as if Deegan is a national disgrace. But small minds produce small thoughts so there's not much to say. Hymas has stepped up, and that's great. But he's riding injured and if he further injures himself, he may regret it since it will impact his ability to race the races that give him the bread and butter.
The Jammer was awesome! He loved to get into competitors heads. I believe that neck brace was from rolling a car messing around at Brad Lackeys place a few days before the race. Whether he really needed it or not is something only Jimmy could tell you.
Wish we had 22 HD38's in the 250 class.
And I wish they'd go to MXDN.
