Man what a bitch. Why was he upset he lost?

tbf this thread isn't complaining about him being mad; it's trying to figure out the reason for it. And I'm curious as well. There's nothing wrong with showing some emotion.

I'm stoked on SMX right now. I hope the Vegas track is good, because we finally have a scenario where Jett HAS to win, no more "he's only riding at 80%" guessing. If he doesn't get the start, we're finally going to without a doubt see every ounce of speed this kid has, Pala '22 Eli vs Chase style.

Maybe he's realizing he's not the "wunderkind" anymore. He's great, but not dominant now, and maybe it bothers him to see Deegan taking the spotlight now. Jett's still young and will realize that careers are long and have many ups and downs; he just hasn't had to deal with the "downs" very often. But I'm sure he will start dominating again soon enough.

I think he really doesn't like loosing, and that bike problems were an issue for this one.  He's pissed that he lost and pissed that his bike wasn't right.  I can't wait for Vegas, he is going to come out swinging with a vengeance.

Seems like if he was going to come out swinging with a vengeance it would've been in the second moto

 Why is he mad?

Because he expects to win every time he lines up, and when he doesn't, he gets mad . Duh.

Did you all catch the last minutes of the broadcast, when they showed Jett sitting on a chair behind the podium? Yes he looked mad, and maybe a bit tired, but he still smiled and gave a little kid a fist bump when the kid walked by. He has his head on straight!

I noticed that and was proud of the dude.

I also noticed he was NOT happy about his set-up and commented on that a bit, too.

If you watch the press conference you'll get your answer. He's not happy with his performance. He's not happy that the bike stalled. In the podium interview after the first moto he mentioned the team needing to clean up the mapping.

My opinion is, he came back really fast from that injury and he's not close to 100%.  It has to be frustrating knowing your body is limiting you. All things considered, I think he is riding good.

How much time does he have on the '25, also?

The jarring from the hard pack/square edge got a lot of press. I would imagine a thumb injury would be susceptible to that. It did seem like he was trying to manage an injury like he has in the past but needed to get out of his comfort zone and was unable to get the win..

Great race, and the at first moto 450 moto was awesome.

Tomac was making life difficult on the Lawrence party and Jett attacking from behind prevented Eli from winning. Think the scoop for moto 2 got Tomac a bit.

Jett being upset on the podium was a good thing to see. For those complaining I honestly don’t understand why. We want to see the fire.

Hunter- killing it and love to see it. Hunter fan here

Chase- thank you for showing up and I hope to see this continue. He honestly destroyed everyone the second Moto and it was great to see.

Kenny- Great fight back second Moto

250’s

It’s the Deegan show just like it was the Jett show before him whether you like it or not. I’m not the largest Haiden fan he is making me one through his sheer determination.
Interesting to see Yamaha run the vented front plate only on his bike.  Last week his bike was either geared super low or the mapping was very different. Clearly he is on the throttle non stop and heat was an issue for bikes. Can’t wait to hear more on Pit Bits

Coming from 18th to second place in the second moto is still better than what any of his opponents have done so far in any SMX moto.

I get it that he were pissed that he/the bike stalled in the first moto and made some misstakes, but if he look at the big picture he were 1.2 seconds? Faster then the second placed rider in qualifying, 3rd in first moto with a stall and reeled in the first two. And doing a good enough result in the second moto that he should trust his own ability going forward from this.

But ofc he will look at anything else than a win as a failure after his qualifying performance when he know how high his own pace can be.

I think he realized be careful what you ask for when saying you want to face the beatmode version of Eli. Not only that his brother raises his game when they are together as well. Hunter had a little beastmode in him as well.

The problem now is that we will not get to see him on screen much because of it. Back in RC's day they basically only showed him on lap 1 and the final lap.

Had they changed the mapping to lessen the low ends HP hit for better hard pack traction ?

How many times has Jett been hurt before? I thought I was seeing a guy who hasn’t healed completely yet and was trying to perform at a high level. Riding around an injury when he’s used to that effortless flowing form of his would be annoying.

Probably some PTSD from when Hunter stole his toys when he was a toddler. Except this time it’s the red plate.

He is mad that cars, girls, and the taste of freedom does not align with 72.

That's all JT was talking about before SMX started. How much they rushed to get him back for these 3 races after his injury

Love threads like this. Jett gets paid to win and get championships. He is not racing to get 2nd or 3rd. Maybe it's the 2025 which I'm sure he doesn't have much time on. Guys that win titles are not happy when they are getting beat.
