Smx feeling boring?

The endless hype around it from the media is to much.

But the racing were good and i prefere the SMX tracks over SX, but the outdoors still feel more exciting. 

 

250s a little better than the 450s. No real battles. Deegs rides past everyone without anyone putting up a fight. First 450 moto was boring. 2nd a little better with the Jett/Eli/Sexton deal until the end when Sexton seemed to drop back and Jett git away.

About the middle of the week, I rremembered about the race and was excited. Today I really didn't care. It's 3 exhibition races that don't mean anything. It's not a real title. Glad the riders get paid though. Hearing RC call a race again didn't help

What??? It’s a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!! World championship I tell you.🤣 

It is NOT a world championship, but I enjoy the racing.

250s no competition for Deegan…

The day seemed to go awfully fast. 

I enjoyed it. 65cc race was exciting, thankfully Deegan got bad starts and got to make his competition look like novices by flying up to the front, JuJu leading for a while and first career podium, we got to see Beast Mode win a moto and the final moto of the day was a great battle down to the last lap between Jett and Eli for the win. Good day of racing for me!

Slightly worried how much better Deegan seems to be and that Jett is already in winning shape. I hope the next two don’t become snoozers. 

Honestly watching moto is never really boring to me but I'm actually confused about the 250 class right now. While Deegan is great to watch, I wish the other riders would be closer to him. I think specially Vialle and Shimoda seem to get slower since last year, I think they absolutely have the talent to take it to Deegan, but something isn't working out for them, they look completely off currently. 

And 450s, yeah first one was a little boring, second moto was fun to watch, great to see Tomac back. Hope Sexton gets better again for next weekend so we have a nice 3-way battle.

I also think SMX will get more exciting with the double and triple points.

Didn't hold my interest. Maybe the track next week will make for better battles.

Why does any time jett ever wins a race ppl say its boring? I think its more the dislike some ppl have for jett vs the racing on the track. Definitely not boring watching deegan charge his way through the pack both 250 races and then eli being back leading both 450 races and then him battling jett 2nd moto and jett pulling out the win. Definitely not boring at all. 

I honestly dig these types of tracks, reminds me of a better version of the old fairgrounds money race tracks. 

You mean the 8 announcers working the broadcast didn’t get you hyped up. 🙄

Go back and watch only the 450 races in mx last year. Then you’ll see why.

I was excited for it, 3 extra weeks as a fan is cool. Good to see some guys return from injury and the racing was good. What’s not to like? 🤷‍♂️

It’s racing. I enjoyed it. The tracks are a nice change. As far as a “championship“, no. It is racing though. 2025 could be rough. 

Tomac and Jett were absolutely on it, beautiful to watch. Chase having an off day was the most disappointing part of the day. Jett seems like a glass ceiling for Sexton. 

The racing was great! Even the 65 race was great!

The racing was pretty damn good. Deegan, pretty much blowin peoples minds no? Tomac pulling off a moto win and battling in the 2nd moto..that wasnt awesome? Both where in my opinion...

BUT, the 65cc race was also badass. Did you see that kid Carter Gray send the finish line double? The crowd went absolutely nuts..louder for that then anything else during the 250/450 races. 

BUT, did you know, the AMA docked the kid 2 positions for jumping the finish line, taking his win away from him and bumping him to 3rd? Ya, what's your thoughts on that BS?

Racing in all classes were great. Don't understand why only the gets to go to the press conference. Most these kids may be pro, at the races, train them like they are pros. Carter and the other kid getting docked is total BS. Let the kids have fun and show off for the fans. Those fans cheered louder for that kid jumping that than for any of the pro guys I think.

Racing was fantastic, it was amazing to watch Deegan do what he did, the way he did it today is my favorite part of this sport coming from behind in dominate fashion and STYLE, it reminds me of what RV and Stew did in their 250(Lites) career.

As for 450's the battle for 1st in the second was great.

I may prefer these types of tracks than traditional SX, it allows more of a skill ceiling, Deegan would have not been able to move through the pack if it was SX styled track.

Racing was good but I think they should be under the lights. For how hard they pump the world championship thing, I think some fireworks are in order. (Mainly for JT)

Not going to lie. I found the track very “ultra cross” ish outside of the rhythm section.  Didn’t pay nearly the attention that I do for normal SX or MX.  stoked for Tomac, and honestly thought Jett’s thumb would bother him late in the moto but it didn’t.  Deegan continues to prove me wrong, and what a roller coaster of a day for Nichols. Stoked on his finish as well.

Not stoked on Ando, Barcia and Swoll hitting the deck so hard.  Hope they can recover this week and give it another go next weekend  

I thought they would do it later in the day so people could actually watch it. 

I thought it delivered personally. Great day of racing imho.

Anti - climatic 😂 most people don’t know what they are watching . If you understand dirt bike racing you would like it. I’m watching guys change lines, shift up and pulling a tear off WFO and this guy looks at the dirt and sponsor banners😂

The racing was great, the commentary was sub par, I don't want to hear about what some said during the week, I want to hear about gear shifts, line choice, traction, line choice, race craft. Just call the fn race as you see it. 

I thought it was a pretty great day of racing. Deegan was extremely impressive - that's the best he's ever looked on a Supercrossy-style track. Tomac came out and meant business, dominating the first moto and giving Jett all he could handle in the second. It would've been one thing if Jett holeshotted and chilled out front all day, but he had his work cut out for him and it was fun to see Tomac look like his old self.

I loved it!
