I find it really hard to believe it’s a medical issue and not a star said we aren’t taking you to smx issue.
X2!!! It's been weeks cmon
Not wrong there. Wonder whats worse, getting benched by Bobby or getting the cold shoulder from Roger. Thought I read that Roger/KTM weren’t too stoked on JuJu and he’s doing better then Dax.
Well… it’s only about a 1.5 hr drive from his house to Salisbury to get to the Phoenix shop. Hope he can work it out at Star but Phoenix wouldn’t be that far out of left field because of the proximity.

I wonder if Star has some sort of performance clause in their contracts.
ML? Lewis?
That’s why you work construction & smoke pot dusky…. These kids are paid to win or at least look like they could, at some point you have to take a shit or get off the pot.
The armpump thing, sure he might have arm pump in the motos but its not like he has been blazing fast in qualifying.
Even if you have arm pump issues you are able to put in a qualifying lap. Here is his qualifying results:
22, 16, 13, 25, 25, 10, 11, 18, 16, 18, 22.
That is not a very good results row for a Factory Yamaha rider in the 250 class. Arm pump or not, the results have been really bad.
Im paid to win.
If it's about results, star must draw the line on that in the very narrow area between bennick and romano's results. 3 motos without points vs 2. 12.4 points per round vs 13.1. Finished 16th and 17th in points with 1 less round for dax. Highest finish of 11th for both. Romano qualified 5 spots ahead of him at ironman. They had essentially identical results this year......
Nice seam
Yea I agree with this. However didn’t he just get arm pump surgery two weeks ago?
I'm working on being a better person. This week has been less Metallica and more Bad Company.
Deegan is the exception of course, but perhaps not every 17-18 year old kid, whose body is still developing, can handle the cookie cutter meat grinder approach to training that a fully grown and developed 23-26 yr old MAN can. I’m not a trained and certified physiologist or anything like that but I’m curious to know how many of these big bucks mx trainers are?
I've recently taken on a few trim projects and I've found if you fill those nail holes it makes for a much cleaner finish. No charge for that pro tip.
Been to their compound. One helluva facility for training. Their track is amazing. Dax grew up on it. Todd owns a grading company and they built every obstacle imaginable over the years. Dax former mechanic runs a training program there now as well. Dax was raised on bikes with every advantage available. He is a great rider, but is definitely not performing to his potential.
I don’t think so. The story about Bobby threatening to bench Webb a few years ago was going around a lot, so maybe that’s what you’re thinking of.
This is the first time I can remember this happening since Anderson on the Suzuki.
Last year Star didn’t send Thrasher, Romano or Robertson to the SMX rounds. Not sure which were due to injury but I don’t remember it being all of them.
I forgot to include in my post that I was taking about smx. I noticed that not every guy went for star last year. I wonder if that will change?
Pit Row
I don't think these were the kind of joints that Jazzy was talking about.....
I don't think its a bad idea to bench a rider. If a rider is not finishing were they are expected to. And the team can see the rider is slacking or not living up to other things they are expected to do. It is better than fireing them . It worked for Anderson.
But if Bennick is out there doing everything the team asks him to do, or has an injury. That would be different. If He is already doing everything he can and hes just not up to speed, I don't know that benching him is the right move. But like I said, if they can see he is not riding up to his potential and his contract allows for it, I think it could be a great wakeup call.
Sometimes its not the good stuff that makes You great. I feel like all of the hard times, injuries , etc. I have gone through have made me a better person all around. I think that sometimes a little tough love might be needed. Just imagine if Jason Anderson had been riding around , out of shape. Maybe he starts hanging out with J Law or doing J law stuff. Or just fades away and becomes just another rider that did not live up to their potential. Instead he got a little slap and it woke him up and he has gone on to have a great career .
Winning a 450 SX title alone is an amazing stat. Just think of how many kids that were the next big thing , that never lived up to the hype. Perhaps they needed a little tough love too? It will not work for everybody though. But a good leader/Team manger will be able to see how to motivate their riders.
I don't know man. I'm a little gun shy on filling holes at the moment.
Who besides Deegan is lighting it up on this team in the 250 class. Smith can be a top 3 threat or barely breaks the top 10. I like Thrasher but he can't stay off the ground. Dax and Ramano are struggling and the rest are hurting.
I have said this every so often, if it wasn’t for haiden, we wouldn’t be hearing about star much unfortunately.
Jordon and Nate both won races this year. That’s huge. Not all race winners win championships but they are still needed in this sport. The other guys need to get to that level or go.
That’s the floor for Star. Race winning potential.
Star just might not be the right place for him end of story
It’s his rookie year isn’t it? If not, then maybe he’s having rookie year struggles in the sophomore season.
Milsaps
I don't get the whole, "I hope he turns it around" or "Star is not fair" bullshit. Not everyone is meant to be a pro motocross racer, or doctor, or astronaut, or priest, whatever. If he is a fine young man and motocross doesn't work out for him, I am certain he would be disappointed, but there are an infinite number of other opportunities in this world. You can't define a human by one goal in life, life is about growth.
When did Davi get benched?
The found something in his locker incident at Kawasaki. Many speculated it was because his performance was poor. Michael Craig was benched at Yamaha too I think. There's been others I can't recall though. I guess Milsaps and Craig are more a firing anyway.
