Well.....that is pretty messed up Cooksey pulled that. I'm sure he's not the only figure in our sport to have ever done something stupid like that.
I still think it's a mistake to ban a "journalist" of any kind unless there was some egregious violation. .....and I'm not defending Cookseys "style".

I mean he tries to go to the races but they kick him out. He still talks to important people from inside the sport to come up with a journalist perspective. It’s funny reading all the hate he gets and people calling him tmz because he not popular. I see a lot of followers in this group, as in they follow the group and they do not seem to come up with their own opinions and jump on the hate train. I wonder if they watch and listen thru his whole videos than come up with their own opinion. Or they just jump on the band wagon? Seems the former to me for most of the posters here.
Can you give us some more info on the made threats? Did reports filled at the police, because it sounds serious.
Kooksey knows that live streaming the event is not allowed, but he did it anyway to antagonize and make a story/controversy. He’s the moto equivalent of those first amendment ‘auditors’ who spend their time trying to provoke reactions from public employees for attention.
If Cooksey did not make everything sound extremely personal I might agree with both of you. You can put out info that is critical of something without making it seem personal.
Most of the time when I watch a local News anchor report something, there is no tone of personal vendetta. Even when You are on any one of the many 24 hour news channels. Those people are often giving their opinion of what they are reporting on and it never feels as personal as Cooksey makes it. I question any source that is claiming to be media but constantly telling me how I should feel about something they are reporting on. That tells me that they have an opinion on the subject and most likely are distorting the info . On purpose or not. His personal feelings ( along with a record of getting a lot of stuff not totally accurate) make it hard for me to trust that he did all the work to make sure a story is true.
He is more of an entertainer than a reporter . What is included and what is missing from that short video he posted should raise more questions than it answers. Given how worked up he looked in the clip, and how long it took for him to "ask" why he was being asked to leave . Are we supposed to believe that they just walked up to him and asked him to leave, and he waited to start recording until he was almost out of the track, That the first thing he did was just start walking away and talk about being kicked out for no reason before he asked why he was being kicked out ? He waits almost to the end to ask the police that are walking him out why , and he then explains to them "why".
I feel like somebody told him he was being removed for some reason, that he knew why and that is why those parts are not included in the video he posted. I also think that he went there to get kicked out.
Multiple posts but one key thing has not been mentioned; i.e., this is the second time Cooksey has knowingly and willfully got in trouble for violating documented NBC rules (the previous time was at an SX). So, what are the odds for a trifecta relative to another attempt?

I'll enjoy reading the posts in this very thread that are questioning the "moto-media" exactly as I was doing and I hope/trust that you'll respond directly to them without clipping their accounts. I love this sport as much if not more than you, and I want nothing but the best for it. Obviously you've become emotional, but my continued comments weren't "attacks" at you personally, but just an ongoing beef with moto-media despite your resistance to address those very topics.

Anyone sticking up for him getting kicked out is crazy, you can tell he wanted this to happen who would go into a event with a target on his back then live stream the event on their YouTube channel . He wanted this to happen for views and something to talk about
It is worth listening to a man with a voice who people hate for seemingly no reason, seems to me some of the things Cooksey has to say are correct and the mainstream hates him for it. Doesn’t take a genius to see that there is some validity to his claims based on the way he is treated.
