Apparently there's a list of things to complain about and he's on it. And RC, Roger, DC, you, me, clouds...pretty much everything and everyone.
Me too. He has practiced tuck and roll a lot.
Yes, i don’t understand why people think that he makes such a good jobb.
He don’t keep track on split times, the current positions, tries to hard to create ”excitment” and misses way to much of what’s going on out there for being a professional.
When James toned down his jokes during the broadcast, he became the clear no:1 of those two.

Track Safety = dreaming of a corndog between moto's 😌
Damn that was gnarly, could have ended his season. He was making his charge at this point, so bummed we didn't see it. I don't believe he would have caught the two at the front but it might have been close.
I hate when people post stuff expecting you to install an app to watch it. I’m not interested in Insta, meta or X.
On another note who the fuck puts a flagger on the backside of a blind sided table top?… they’re doing it wrong. And I doubt it’s the flaggers fault; he probably said, sure I would love to flag. What do I do? I blame the person who hired him and answered that question.
That’s an AMA official on top of the jump, not a flagger which makes this scenario even more strange. He sees the crash and it almost seemed like he didn’t have a yellow flag near him. A flagger runs up to him and hands him one.
Im not going to predict whether or not that flag being there would have prevented this incident as I feel Deegan was pretty committed to that outside line but I will say this is just more proof why technology and safety like in ear communication, airbags in chest protection, caution lights on the riders handlebars/on top of jumps should really be considered. Human error happens and this is a prime example.
My purpose of the thread was not to rag on Weege as I think he does an outstanding job. I stay out of all the commentator bashing in regards to the what words they use, but in this case of Deegan's crash it should fall on the production crew. As Village said above, the guys in the booth need a spotter as they can't be expected to see everything while they are trying to talk it up.
With Deegan being the points leader and the one who's made racing most fun to watch this year, the spotter should always be tracking him if he's back in the pack. If all of us can see him starting to make a charge from our couches and then he drops like a fly, then there's zero reason a spotter on the production team can't see this as well. It happens often, but this one was really bad as there was a huge crash from the points leader and there was not one mention of it during or after the race. I thought when they sent it down to Will that she was going to be reporting on this from the Yamaha rig.
That was a super gnarly crash and we're lucky Deegan is okay.
Does this one work for you?
Pretty sure after the ME girl almost got destroyed the braintrust of SMX is not requiring it's employees to pass an IQ test.
DNGR Inc. doesn't ever comment on anything negative.
Nobody expects you to install anything. They just posted a link.
What's for lunch caveman...rock soup?
Just kidding 😉
It’s the only place that video is available. If you don’t have instagram just move right along.
Matt Burkeen has the best angle i’ve seen of it at 14:06 in his most recent video.
You live in CA and you think $40/hr is "high pay"???
Your question makes no sense.
My post was about a flagger being on the blind side of a table top and not on the front side.
Your post didn’t seem to work for me.
Pit Row
I think half the people in this forum would quit their jobs to flag for a full time 40/hour pro motocross flagging job lmfao.
Lol maybe but trust me when a one bedroom apartment is near $2k a month in most of CA.
You'll get better flagging than you have now though, that's for sure.
I mean shit. Mxsports and feld hit me up. I’ll drive to every race next year and work my regular job during travel and be a flagger on Saturdays. wife said she’d be down to come
I have nothing installed on my I pad. I do not have ANY social media accounts. That link to Instagram post played just fine, as do 99% of the other links people are kind enough to post on Vital. Google chrome is the browser I use to view the Vital site. Works on safari too. You can see Instagram wants me to sigh in or create an account, but the video still played.
He read your previous post as you couldn't view the link because you don't want an app. He was trying to be helpful to you...
There was more than enough time to warn riders after that. Definitely not enough when Vialle was airborne but a flag should’ve been flying by the time the 38 got there. That being said, with pro rules on a yellow he would’ve probably hucked it regardless. Which almost makes a yellow flag pointless really.
Between this an another new video I saw earlier the flagged completely fumbled and seemed to almost panic. 100% avoidable in my opinion. There was enough time to get the yellow out before Haiden got there.
See 1983YZ's post above, I was trying to help you view the video of the crash. You should be able to watch what I posted above without having an instagram account. What device are you browsing with?
Here ya go. Just click and watch.
The flagger situation is horrible this year.

I remember at 2021 Southwick moto 2, Tomac started somewhere in the back half of the top 10 and Roczen ripped a holeshot and pulled out a big gap in the first half of the race (typical Roczen fashion). Tomac worked his way up to 2nd, but was 15 seconds behind Roczen. The next ~10 minutes of coverage are nothing but Ferrandis in 4th or 5th because his bike was smoking.
While this is happening, I'm looking over at timing/scoring and seeing the gap between Roczen and Tomac decreasing consistently... Tomac was shaving off a half second in basically every segment. Crickets from the broadcast crew. It wasn't until Tomac was literally side-by-side with Roczen that they cut to the battle and Weege is all "OH MY GOD WHERE DID THIS COME FROM, TOMAC TO THE LEAD!!!". Like, dude, how could you possible have missed this?
This happened right in front of us, the flagger that was on top of the jump had time and the one on the blind side of the jump just stood there. He should have been running up to the jump and flagging along with the flagger on the top should have dropped the damn blue flag and been waving the yellow. It seemed like there was enough time to help Deegs avoid this with proper flagging IMHO. Everyone on the side of the track was yelling to "wave the damn flag!" at the flaggers. Even after Deegs went down, they still took a long time to start waving the yellow. Maybe it would not have made a difference but to all of us standing there at the fence watching in real time, it seemed the flaggers did not do an adequate job.... seemed like a huge cluster **** that could have seriously injured any rider. Glad to see that Deegs seemed OK, as for the rider that initially crashed he was not walking on his left foot. Seemed in a lot of pain and the EMS carted him off in the mule so hopefully nothing too serious...
Maybe the flagger you’re bitching about was there for the next section of track?
