Wow, that sucks. So right now we are missing Jett Lawrence, Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb. As a fan we are now denied watching all three of them go against Hunter Lawrence and Chase Sexton for the championship. I definitely have a fan favorite, but not to have all five of them racing against each other is what sucks. I just want to see some fantastic racing.😞

I have it from a reliable source that this was not actually from a practice crash. I heard Jett walked up to Hunter with a cheeky grin and said…”pull my thumb”…. Then Hunter pulled way too hard…which led to the injury…and also tragically a shart instead of…oh…never mind.
Which titles are you referring to? Do you mean to say Jett wouldn't have one his 450 SX and 450 MX titles if Eli/Cooper/Chase hadn't been hurt at times? Get real. I don't what know sport you've been watching the last few years but it's obviously neither SX nor MX.

I wonder if it is more likely for a rider to dominate now than in the past, as the tracks have a lot less variety than they used to it seems.
Unadilla hasn't been Unadilla for a long time, there are no real hard pack tracks, and outside of Southwick they all seem really similar.

How many times does it need to be brought up that Cooper Webb is not in the outdoors equation. He's been in the 450 class for 100's of years and has one overall victory. Unless he's become a different rider altogether he won't get near the podium outdoors. He's a SX specialist.

What are you talking about? My entire point is that you can't give an asterisk to Sexton's wins and titles if you're not willing to do the same to Jett for the same reasons.
Every single one of his primary competitors were injured when he won the 2023 outdoor title. Dude faced an injured Sexton who missed time and he didn't have one single moto against the reigning champ in Tomac. The one time Roczen showed up he gave Jett all he could handle and Roczen hasn't been anywhere near Tomac in recent motocross seasons...
In SX he faced Tomac coming off a major injury, Sexton on a new bike, and Webb (his primary competitor) raced with the same exact thumb injury for half a season that Jett is immediately bowing out of this season to get repaired. So enough with the asterisk bullshit because Jett hasn't had a single 450 title when his biggest competition was 100%.

Actually he podiumed on 2 of the 4 outdoor MX races he did last year….on a bike he hated…. It was the best he has ever looked outdoors imo.
