The 450 class puts me to sleep. It's rarely ever as exciting as the 250s.

Imo this goes for mx and sx. I would almost always prefer to watch the 250s over the "premier" class.

Definitely way more entertaining,  with the 450s everything is more calculated no one is sending it

250 is limited by the machine so the racing is closer. The 450 is more rider.

I would agree for outdoors 23 and 24 at least but kind of a weird timing after sexton beat jett the first time for real outdoors. (without jett crashing)

Top 3 in 450s are 3 points apart. 450s much more interesting.

The racing in the 250 class is usually better, but the best riders are in the 450 class.

It's the bikes, 250s have to be rode much more aggressive, so yeah it has more visual excitement. Skill wise, 450s guys have so much power to do everything, at the same time it is so much more to control.  Both excellent races today.

Yeah bad timing honestly (i was pumped at the end of the 250 moto when i made this thread lol), the 2nd 450 moto was better than the first 450 moto

This. Plus most of the top 10 are older family men now and are in “respect everyone” mode on the track. No one really fights for position like the youngins do. Doesn’t help that us as fans light a guy a fire for riding aggressively with someone (Anderson, Barcia).

Is it because Americans are winning the 250 class?

Maybe, but there's a lot more action and battles in 250's/ 450's there's some here and there.

Yes, it's outstanding.

However if included, real 250's, the two stroke type would make it even better.

I'm trolling btw.  The racing has been great right down the field.

As many have said, smaller bikes makes for better/closer racing.

Look at moto gp and compare the moto 3 with the GP class. Heaps better racing in the moto 3 class.

At some point the racing will suffer when the bikes get to fast and the 450’s is to fast for most of the riders to be able to ride them the same intense way as a 250.

When you have reached the point that you have to conserve energy to make it to the finnish, the bike is to fast. Just like the 500cc class were back in the days.

Well the 250f lap times were faster for the most part than the 450 times, and certainly Deegan's lap times from both moto's had him going 1-1 in the 450 class.

Disclaimer: I like Haiden, but I'll root for the Pro Circuit riders all day before wanting Deegan to win. But each and every week, reinforces that Deegan will possibly be a threat to start winning in the 450 class once he moves up. I realize that's at least one more season of 250f's and then a rookie year in the 450's before this happens, but by his 2nd year in 450's I believe he's also possibly competing for a championship.

250 is limited by the machine so the racing is closer. The 450 is more rider.

You kinda said the same thing twice.

* 250 machines have parity.  (differences boil down to the rider).

* "450's it's more the rider"

In my opinion, it has ALWAYS been this way.  All the way back as far as I can remember, the small-bike class has been better, more exciting racing, with very few exceptions.

The 450 class has been doing this one boring Moto one exciting Moto at least this year. That is helping. The only reason the 250 class is as exciting this year is all because of Deegan. His poor starts or his crashes are what is making it.

IDK...But Deegan will be one of the greats if he wants to be.

I'm still not sold on his throttle heavy style with the 450, but jeez, he gets the start , goes full send on that jump which I don't think any 250's did all day, and just puts time on guys when everyone is fresh.

Yes there are more battles in the 250's but watching the top three yesterday in the 450's was faaaaaaar from boring.
