Honestly it shows who is in the elite class of fitness. Even in the 450s it shows. I don’t think Jett gets enough credit for how ready he was. Most rookies always say hitting the wall etc.
speed plus fitness pays very well 😅
Assuming he wins this 250 title and the 250SX title next year that night not be a bad plan. But so far he’s got 3 SX wins, 5 MX wins and no titles.
It was very impressive to see those lap times at the end of the race. Reminiscent of Lake Elsinore 2012 Lites class.
I am not a Deegan fan at all, but I will give props to the kid for what he is doing. He is arrogant, and definitely has some entitled statements, but he has been a beast. My guess is that he will mature some more and be just as fast if not faster. You can't fake fitness and grit. He is showing both. I also thought his interview after the 2nd moto giving props to Ty was the best I've seen from him.

closed 10 seconds the last two laps...I honestly couldn't believe it
Right now, he's the rider that I really look forward to watching. I don't care who his family is, how rich they are, yadda, yadda, he's awesome to watch! And props to him for his gracious congrats to Ty Masterpool. I was a little surprised by it, but it looks good on him.
Exactly why we need fucking GoPros. Imagine the footage of that. Why can riders wear chains or any kind of jewelry but a GoPro isn't allowed, how does that make sense?
I would think the GoPros not being allowed is for the video rites that some entities have and do not want to relinquish those rites. I also had seen mentioned, that there was concern for injuries due to the cameras. Best I can do on that.
The "kid" is maturing and racing with a desire to win that we need in our sport over say "managing a race".
He reminds me of Bob Hannah and wonder where Hannah was 18 years ago and with whom, lol...
Where does this narrative come from?
Matt Burkeen records.
Maybe just the rule that it cant be mounted to helmets.
“Wide open style doesn’t work on a 450”
It's strange how all of Europe's motocross fans suddenly identifies with Australia.
I can make that connection, he does remind me a little of Hannah…. Certainly his on track style, but maybe off track too.

An anti-Deegan 🥴
It’s funny, watching him in the pits at pala with fans screaming at him he seems like a socially awkward kid that doesn’t like the attention. Definitely a different vibe from his podium persona
Fuckin dying that this is still your avatar!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ohhhhh Detroit.
Telling me that you have been here before without telling me you've been here before.....
Pit Row
Oh hell yeah! Been On yr moms couch in my boxers watching Donny boy get downvotes for years

Don't remember Hannah talking trash on his competition until someone started banging bars than it was on.
Guarantee you Bob Hannah loves Deegan! Interview from 2000.
WHAT BOB THINKS OF THE YOUNGER GENERATION
“Are you sure you want to ask me this? You’re not going to like the answer,” said Bob. “If you really want me to answer it, though, I will. Did you see the Daytona Supercross? It was a weak and embarrassing moment for motocross. There was only one worthy guy there. That was McGrath. And the rest of them? Excuse me, I take that back. LaRocco. For who he is, he did a good job. That guy is in shape and he charged the whole time. He is just not on top of it anymore. McGrath was excellent as always. The rest of the field ought to be embarrassed.”
“You should talk to Roger DeCoster. I asked him once, ‘Roger, am I being too critical?’ and he said, ‘They gag me.’ Pichon told his mechanic that he didn’t think he should ride the main because he was so tired from riding the six-lap qualifier. Now, you tell me? Call and get a quote from them. It boils down not to money or talent, but heart. And if you don’t have it in your heart, you’re a loser. I’ve always said that. The only reason I won was because I had heart. That’s it. I wanted to whip them. Now these guys, they don’t have in their whole body what McGrath has in his little finger. It is great for McGrath, because he’s just going to kick them a while longer.”
“Jeremy is undoubtedly the greatest Supercross rider there ever has been and probably ever will be. He picked a good time to win, because he’s racing against a bunch of morons (not to take anything away from him). Johnson, Stanton, Bailey and myself on our best day couldn’t beat Jeremy McGrath in Supercross. I’ll bet $10 grand nobody can beat his record in the next ten years. If I find somebody who wants that bet, I’ll put the money in escrow. I don’t think it’ll happen. McGrath has more wins than Rick Johnson and me put together, and I know how hard it was for me to get what I got. I’ll bet Johnson will tell you it was hard to get what he got. To win twice as many? I don’t care who you are, you worked hard for that. But, it is a weak field out there.”
“It is embarrassing to me to see these guys ride. If that is all they have to offer, they need to go home. I feel sorry for guys like Roger DeCoster and Keith McCarty, who have to work with these guys daily. They don’t have a gene pool to pull from. The selection process is reduced to the morons that are available, so which moron do you want?”
“David Bailey got tired of hearing about Ricky Johnson, Ricky Johnson and Ricky Johnson. I got tired of hearing about Roger DeCoster, Roger DeCoster and Roger DeCoster. I was jealous of his position. I wanted his spot. I wanted to beat him for pure ego. It had nothing to do with money. If money is a factor, then you have a problem, because money won’t motivate you for very long. The kids today are signing such big contracts that money shouldn’t matter. These riders aren’t tired of hearing about Jeremy McGrath, Jeremy McGrath and Jeremy McGrath. They aren’t jealous of McGrath. That is sad. I would hate Jeremy if I was racing against him. I would want to beat him bad. They don’t even want a piece of him. They go, ‘McGrath won and I got second, so I really won because we can’t beat him.’ They are like that all the way to tenth place. I’m not as hostile on any other issue, but this gets to me.”
“So many of these kids think they have arrived. They haven’t! You know when you have arrived? When you win a championship fair and square. And not some meaningless 125 East or 125 West Championship.”

Not Bob Hannah

Miss ya Chad!
Side note, why is he wearing his own signed jersey? 😂😂
These 16 year old groupies have been ripping his jersey off right after practice so he's just signing them in advance 🙂
I feel like a slime admitting this, but I remember pausing the TV when the camera panned to the crowd in that moment and saying "uh, what IS that??"
