We would make a trip down to Mills Rd once a month back in the day. Loved that track
Budds Creek, Maryland, USA. Still active.
Silver Creek in Morganton, NC. Closed, unfortunately. Original layout designed by Gordon Bowden from Ireland. I loved it.
Probably a split between two, Emborough and Priston, both in Somerset in the UK, both real nice and both gone due to noise.
Between whiney assholes moving to the countryside and the racket that four strokes make, it was almost inevitable sadly.

I loved Axton. Except when it was so hot and humid I'd be wringing wet before I got my boots on...
Hard to say. It's probably a dead heat between Mosier Valley and Rabbit Run in the DFW, with Swan next. Swan is still operating. Thriving. Other two are distant memories.
Carlsbad. Started when Frank was running REM there before going to GH. Friday night Costa Meas Speedway, Saturday am REM at Carlsbad. Good times !
Legendary track. Been around for as long as I can remember. Held local, provincial, and national level races. Hit my first race there in 82 and going back this summer to watch my son race.
Indian Dunes. Home to many legends. Sadly, Indian Dunes is long gone.
When you saw this sign, you knew you were in for a great day or night. (not my pic)
Raced and rode all the tracks there...from the mini-track to the International track and Shadow Glen.....along with quite a few GPs that included the river
Perris raceway!!!
UPDATE --- Honda Hills in Ohio was shut down for 20 years and was opened again by new owners in 2022. Never thought it would open again...shocked that it's been revived!
TNT Motorsports Park, closed. RIP Barbara, she was a great person.
It's open again?
Saddleback park California
Rolling Hills Cycle Park, Reidsville, NC.
Closed.
LACR but when it wasn't in a pit. Hopefully it sticks around and doesn't get shut down 😮💨
Probably Possum Hollow here in Missouri. Still active for sure. Been around here forever. Owners are great people. It's about the only track we have left in Southwest Missouri. At least super close to Springfield anyway.
The good ol Saturday night specials on the JB Memorial Track
Lots of racing there over the years …
Terry the VP guy ( RIP) was always there and I’d grab a couple of gallons of C12 for the 125 !!
I had a couple good get offs there as well!
Once on the over/under double and one on the big table after the finish line …
Good stuff!
Pit Row
Lower Alabama Motocross. Fun technical track. It was operated by Hank Jr guitar player for a while.
Sadly it is no longer active.
Meadow Valley MX, Millville, MN. Early 2000's. Still there.
Mosier Valley, Ft Worth, Texas and its long gone.
Yep. New owners and totally different track layout.
Same here. Practiced tomahawk and mountaineer.
Raced Budds and Seaford.
Sad to hear mountaineer and seaford closed. I enjoyed both of those. Must have closed after I moved.
JEEPS Cycle club - Wichita Kansas, Been burning laps there since 1974 and still going today.
Hallett Road race track in Oklahoma - Probably have around 100,000 miles there.
Why did they close?
As for total laps, I probably rode the most at either Coyote Raceway in Taos, NM or Arroyo Seco south of Española, NM. Racing stopped at both in the '70s and both have been gone for quite some time. Coyote Raceway succumbed to urban growth. I don't know what killed Arroyo Seco. As for racing laps, it's a toss up between the Big Dig, West Mesa, and Angel Fire. The locals killed Angel Fire when they tore down fences and trespassed on neighboring private property, so I suppose I probably raced more laps on the Albuquerque tracks. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Where are you located?
Frankston practice track, in Victoria Australia. It was less than 30 minutes from home.
In the 80,s it started naturally a sand track, but eventually it became harder dirt after they shipped in dirt.
After a few unfortunate deaths it closed for good a few years ago.
A big loss for riders of all ages in the area, including Aussie Pro,s and international Riders.
Overall, Horn Rapids in Richland, WA. I don’t know how many laps I’ve spun there, but it’s a lot.
In a two-year span, probably Summit Raceway near Lewiston, ID. I rode there several times a week during my time at WSU. Doesn’t exist anymore as far as I know.
D11 Southern Ohio-Honda Hills or Dirt Country both still around
Post a reply to: Thinking Back, Which Track, In Your Lifetime, Have You Spun The Most Laps Upon ? *Is the track still active ?
