Kudos to Chad, he's the best thing the riders as a whole have right now, and I hope people of power are listening.

I disagree with him on the 4-stroke thing, because there are contradictions in his logic. He discussed choosing to ride well within his comfort zone, and for that to not put someone who easily always finishes on the box off the box, implies the four-strokes offer plenty of room of putting people in a discomfort zone. He also said it comes down to the tracks, and yet the tracks are being designed around the four strokes with bigger gaps etc. Bigger gaps, faster speeds, and stupid dangerous sections with no room for error are a recipe for disaster.

The issue really isn't 4-stroke vs. 2-stroke, it has to do with the power these bikes have. Plus, what's more exciting to watch, a bike being aggressively ridden to its full potential, or a bike reticently being ridden to only a fraction of it.

Anyways, didn't mean to get off topic. I have so much respect for Chad, for looking after the riders. Good man, he is.

Awesome interview by Chad. I wish more riders spoke their mind like this to the media.

Maybe when Chad steps off the bike for good he can be the one to initiate the riders association. Respected, no BS and well spoken.

I am pretty sure Chad has mentioned moving back to Australia when he has finished racing 2 wheels. That might make that job a bit tough for him.

Safety should be the #1 priority anywhere . On the track , driving down the road or at work.

If the riders all stuck togather and said fix this bullshit or we ain't going out there , guess whats going to happen ?

WTF some lazy arrogant asshole can't get another load of dirt into that stadium to fix a simple and easy problem ?

Chad Reed's days are numbered. Mark my word. Hopefully not, but seen it too many times. Jerry Mcguire my friends. Watch and learn. If none of the other riders step up, he will be made a example so they shut up and ride only. ONLY if others step up, will he not get thrown under the bus. If he announces his retirement this year, you will know why.

Agreed. They have said over and over they have made these tracks especially for the 4 strokes.

By the way, Panic Revver, sound familiar????

"Was it the takeoff, too?
Yeah, you watch it on TV and watch each and every one of us. Each and every one of us had to hit it, and every time we hit it, we had to preload before we hit it. "

I like what he had to say, with the exception of his response to the last question. He didn't really answer Eric's question about what could be better.

I know this much. The people at Feld are the same people that have been promoting Supercross since it was called Pace, and they definitely care about the riders. Up until this week all of the riders have been raving about how great the tracks were.

FELD can go ahead and hire MXSports as a subcontractor to take over the racing aspects of the program.

Only when a real motocross promoter takes over will SX get back on track and/or better than it is now. I fully believe that SX has slowly been sliding down the hill.

Time for a riders union too.

Good for Chad. It would be nice to see something done before a rider gets killed. Im not holding my breath. This sport has been heading in the wrong direction for years.

Yeah the gloves came off in that interview and I am glad they did, its refreshing to hear what he had to say. I think either way he will finish his contract out with Kawi and retire, I think he is ready for a new challenge like RC was. He has my respect for calling it like it is for what thats worth.

You have tools in your shop that are much sharper than you don't you? Who said they weren't pre-loading? I said RV looked like he was pushing the front down when he hit it, like you would do if you were trying to stay low/scrub.

Reed's days are number? I guess it takes all kinds to make a world, I am just glad I don't live in yours.

what was it that he did that made you dislike him before?

You guys are slow. Feld can just make chad feel unwanted. Basically cold shoulder him when he talks. It's not about firing him. All they have to do is make life miserable. Anyone who thinks he will be well received by feld right now is stupid.

Panic revver, you said the landing wouldn't have made any difference. I told you they were probably preloading which inturn made rv drag his pegs. Thus if landing was shorter, like chad says, there wouldn't have been the need to preload and drag him down. So like I said and u argued, the landing being cut down would have changed everything

Reed can quit anytime. He doesn't care. He's set for life. What's feld gonna do to him anyways?

By the way u dumbasses who think I don't know what I'm talking about. I was in the pits of supercross the last time riders were passing out and whispering of union. Do u see a union right now? do u think there isn't a union because riders don't want or need one? There are certain riders who are in freestyle from that exact time period. Fired nope, cold shouldered yep. Stupid f people talk shit but don't know crap.

There's actually a rule in the AMA rule book that they aren't allowed to boycott or form a revolt or union...

The riders don't have a voice, aren't asked, but are used for Feld's profits... I'd be upset too...

What Chad says about the berm/jump safety comparison is spot on... They do something that suits them but have no consideration of the riders at all...

I truly believe Reed is one of the most thoughtful guys in the sport. I mean, he is one of the very few riders to show me that he is capable of critical thinking beyond the level of a sixth grader. Reed comes off as pretty bright, and I tend to think he is ( and has been) acting completely genuine. It gets tiresome hearing all of the anti- Reed BS when he is one of the few out there trying to improve things. Anyway I'll jump off his balls after saying I will be really pulling for him in the outdoors!

people like their riders to only say "superpumped" and name off sponsors in list formation.
