Because 4 strokes with valves, etc have made room. That's definitely not a argument killer. I'm not an engine maker, so I'm sure if a maker wanted to make it work, they'd find a way. It would be a shorter stroke on each side. To make the cc rule, it would most likely require a shorter stroke and smaller pistons...

Because they're lighter, more powerful and kill the 4 stroke. Everyone and their brother knows the 2 stroke will always out perform a 4 stroke of same cc's. Exactly why rules have remained unfair for so long. Even now, with all the "tech" 4 strokes have gone through, they couldn't fathom adjusting cc for cc rules.

OEM's have always followed the sales trend. If a 2 stroke somehow beat every 4 stroke, they would do 1 of 2 things. Try to kill it by rules, or jump on the train for $. Electric, will be the future. I have no doubt about it. But we have a long ways to go for that, it seems. I...

Yes, diesels are currently using the tech. Not new. Just not used in mx. Thus, the only way 2 strokes at current cc rules could compete. Because, as we've seen, even upping cc's for 2 strokes to 150 and 300 in Pro ranks can't even get approved. So abiding by the rules, this is the way.

That being said. It would be cool seeing a magazine test of Webbs 300sx vs his 450sxf in a sx track. Just to hear what benefits each would have over one another. If everyone thinks Chad can't qualify, why won't the powers that be, give him the option? What would it really hurt, letting 300cc in? If it's so slow...

I'll probably tend to agree on that, yet mud, or something like a pileup could make me say, "don't say never." A 350 2 stroke could be better or worse on the start. Hard to say. That may not be rider, if it's easier on 1 bike or another. I know my 150 pulled 250f's for about 3 gears, then...

You guys clearly haven't rode a fuel injected 300 bike, then add 50cc. So, you get smooth power for slick tracks, you get electric start, no bogging. Keep trying to make 4 strokes something that can't be done on anything else. 350 current 2 stroke would be better. Not that you'd need it, but you'd also be able to have...

Facts as we know them. 1. He is not going to be the Champ. 2. This is his last year racing. 3. He would gain a lot of respect and it would be very memorable if he did decent in a main and he would gain many new fans on his way out. Just hearing him on TV ripping around on a two stroke would be great and the announcers ( I use that term loosely) would probably bring light to this debate.. If I was Chad this would be a no brainer. At least a few rounds. I guess...

I'd bet he wouldn't. He knows how nostalgic mx fans are. Going out with a new 350sx 2 stroke from KTM, would get more likes than Eli winning every race. Plus, if it was a better bike, and he won on it. Game over. Thus, won't happen via the black helicopters... A 350 2 stroke would have everything a 450f...
