I'm close to Ty and the Masterpools. Talked to Ty a few times this week. He was pumped on the testing and training in SoCal the last couple of weeks on his 450.

It will take a little to knock the rust off, but not long. At least he is coming off the 23 KX450 which has the same chassis as the 24 KX250.

I’m sure his HBI contract has an out clause if a factory offer comes in.

HBI should use this is marketing when they go to sign their next rider as proof that they can build a program that can get someone noticed.

Still one of the most badass MX photos capturing a very badass moment in the sport.

Stoked for him. Give him a couple motos to shake down the bike and I can see him having some good finishes.

I give him 8-10 moto scores for 9th overall tomorrow. He hasn't been on a 250 in a while and the pace at the front is gnarly. Give him another couple weeks on the bike and more exposure to the pace and he'll be contending for top 5 overalls.

That’s what I think too.

I do not do that stuff, I just wasn't too sure about how he will do only having today on the bike. Top 20 is the safe pick, the 250 field is stacked.

I was telling my wife about the PC curse the other day. Today we were talking about Masterpool getting a PC ride and she says aww that poor guy. I said why do you say that? She said well now hes gonna be out next week right?

Savage lol

Star Yamaha is the curse now.  They have to have 11 riders just to have five racing

Kawasaki is stupid for not giving the guy a 450 spot.

I'm very pumped for Ty to have this opportunity and wish him the best and a lot of success. He's very deserving and he puts in the hard work for sure.

HBI gave him decent bikes and I believe his switch to Kawasaki helped for some reason too. Like the bike just fit him at the right time.

But I will say this as well. I really like his Canvas gear and every week I liked what Canvas put out for him. I'm going to miss him not being on Canvas gear this season. I actually bought some of their gear last year just because I liked gear they had for Ty.

They could also sell those as merch, and front plates for autographs🤷‍♂️

Graphics companies pay them to  run their product and some will get a percentage of sales of team replica graphics .  They might be able to make a little more money printing themselves. But they would also have to add people and machines, clean space to print, etc. Not worth it for a lot of teams.

TLD has a printer  .   JGR had the closest thing to an in house graphic company . They do the Nascar wraps themselves and a lot of the car teams do their own .I think Armored works out of a JGR building or they are somehow  connected beyond the team running the graphics. I could see a team having a setup to run graphics , but still have a graphic sponsor.

There are big graphic companies that have smaller companies print and ship for them. So chances are there is a shop local to PC that was able to run those plates for them.

Great info! My guess is they had a little more than a day lead time. Mitch knew he was going to shoot this shot, so he probably had kits made for Ty and whomever plan B or even C was.

15th, so pretty damn accurate. But , he did beat Bennick. That was a surprise, but moreso that Bennick did so badly. I am still hoping Bennick can find some podium speed soon.

Hard to say, as we don't quite know if he's 100% again yet. With a holeshot, he could certainly contend for a moto win in the 250 class, but he had a rough off season and start to the year.

I was a doubter, thought he could do well enough on the bike but I thought he would be better off staying top 10 on a 450 and collecting that SMX money, but I'm very glad to be proven wrong. Didn't think he had a win in him, and didn't think this would lead to a better contract, which if he wins another moto or two, seems like it probably will.

Such a cool story for that family. Kudos to Ty. Very happy for them.

I think most people did. What I saw coming that most people didn't (and I got quite the amount of dislikes for) was Jett and Hunter being 1-2 this summer.
