Was super Interesting to listen in to Dazzy speak on work ethic and being accountable was refreshing to hear, Especially from a Moto dad.

Did anyone else listen in?

Great interview, very nuanced takes on developing his boys into great riders rather than pushing them to be great riders.

My exact thoughts. Super interesting to hear about his way of life and views on developing the bike for the riders haha

Definitely be catching that one. Listened to him on WT when Ping had the brothers on. Very impressed. Came across as sharp and very down to earth guy.  Not to take away from the boys talent and work ethic. They’re obviously earning it, but Dad played  a huge role in where they are. Moto dads of young riders may want to take notes.

pretty dope interview👌🏾 I like how he keeps Jett & hunter accountable of themselves instead of just blaming the team & such for anything tht goes wrong wid the bike , I can relate to tht as my grandpa kept me in check while I was playing football

They don’t come much more down to earth than Dazzy. Great interview.

Some of you should really listen to the part about a kid having a goal in life…

Very refreshing. I hope a lot of his attitude and philosophy rubs off on the boys as they get older and everything that comes with being at that level. Good people.

That was a great interview. My opinion of the Lawrences went up a lot. Its a must listen.

I like how he talked about delayed gratification and balance in life and how farming gives a man perspective.

I like how he praised Greg? Moss( I think that is his first name, he's Oldmate on Vital) and Ken Roczens dad for their help.

Did I hear him, when he was talking about their time losing money racing the MXGP's refer to it as "The Luongo series"? I chuckled.

Made me think about how getting hooked up with Mr. Moss, Roczens dad, and Johnny O influenced their future as opposed to AC training with Baker from a young age, and his dad's attitude.

I am definitely going to urge any mini parent to sit down with their aspiring racer and have a good hard listen to this one. Kinda of sums up American MX. I see kids at the local races and there isn't any accountability other than a select few. The diesel pushers and 28 foot trailers with 4  Cobra 50's' in it amazes me. More of a pissing contest to see who can have the coolest shit rather than becoming a good racer. Rant over lol

It’s great to hear that his family’s success hasn’t gotten to him at all. Hearing him acknowledge how it’s more difficult today than it was 30 years ago for the working man to make it because of rent, wages, taxes etc and how that might relate to people’s perception of Jett was great. Very introspective and down to earth.

I'm more of a Dazzy fan than a Jett/Hunter fan! Those boys will grow up to be great ambassadors for our sport thanks to their dad. Best interview of the show. Sorry Phil!

Great interview. Equal parts accountability and love for his boys. Hope he stays involved with the sport long after his boys are done racing. Seems like he's got great natural ability to see the big picture and see through the BS.

I've been a borderline Jett hater for awhile now. Mostly because I feel like the series just pushes him too hard. But after hearing that interview- I'm a convert. It appears they are just regular blokes, pushing and working hard and earning ever single ounce of success. Good shit!!

It was awesome, one of the best interviews on pulp in a very long time. Darren is a no bullshit guy.

I had a little to do with Darren back when hunter was on 65's and 85 when he came and raced over in NZ, , he was down to earth then, and seem still that way,

Always enjoyed listening to Dazzy ever since the Lawrence brothers' Whiskey Throttle episode. That was an awesome interview on Pulp from him. Glad he called in and hope he does more media in the future

Can anyone explain how this guys post could get any down votes??? I just don't get. Even if you are tired of the Lawrence hype what does that have to do with this guy Dean making a good observation. If its because its Matthes show, that I can understand. LOL

It was a good refreshing interview.

Can’t wait to hear it. He is the biggest key to their success imo. If you haven’t listened to the interview with Dazzy, Jett, and Hunter on the Whiskey Throttle show listen to it. In hindsight knowing how well their program has worked.

Dazza was my best ever student, to coach the family for close to there first 7yrs and stay in there house so often was the foundation. Straight after the boys 1,2 he rang me at my coaching school, thanked me and told the students to listen. It was such a buzz for the kids and they will never forget that call.
