Or anything for that matter.
I'm an old head. Growing up in the late 80's early 90's I always looked forward to the last lap of a main. It seemed like the leader would always throw a trick over the triple or finish line jump. Now it's just a fist pump whip. I know there's a lot more at stake and it's different times but we are missing out on one of the coolest parts of supercross in my opinion.
Not that we need a Pastrana out there back flipping everything, but something besides a whip.
Man! I was just thinking about this the other day! I couldn’t agree more!
Even a sweet point to the crowd over the triple would be nice.
Disclaimer: As a Yogi fan I prefer the Double can-can
MM25 always did the heel clicker when he won, I think he's the last to throw down over the finish line.
Windham would throw the occasional heel clicker as well.
I agree. It was really awesome last year when Tomac pointed at the crowd in Seattle. It just shows an appreciation for the fans AND how actually happy the racer is while winning. Granted the racing has been really close in the past 3-4 years so usually with a larger than 6 second gap guys should be okay with doing it. I'm willing to bet if it became normal again. Guys would try harder for a win as to not have their competitor "showboat" while they're getting beat. It would be a good motivator, I think.

Someone should create a sport that showcases riders doing tricks on their motorcycles. Seems like that might fix your issue.
FMX went too far for me from the back flip, it became closer to stunt. Amazing in term of skills though.
Back then a nice trick at the finish or freeriding was cool, finding natural jumps or hills, and later the speed and style was quite interesting to watch as well. RC's double can can or MC holeshing and throwing a nac nac is part of the all time cool actions.
Nac Nac, can can, double can can, candy bar or even heel clicker or superman is something pros should not have much difficulty to do so there is hope
I'm fine with a big whip if riders don't want to do FMX tricks, but not a fan of the fist pumps, so boring.
Different times I guess.
I don't want to see riders doing tricks all over the track, I would just like to see more "showtime" from a rider like we used to.
Yes
A nice boner air would be a great nod to us spodes.
An athlete with charisma connecting with the fans sounds like a recipe for success!
I think it’s a very weird time in our sport. If Eli was to win and do something over the triple on the last lap the crowd would go nuts !!
but I think if Jett did it some fans would find it patronising or think he’s been cocky.
Jett is that guy to kinda fill that “showtime” role I just don’t think the fans are quite ready for it yet.
If Jett wants to beat MC maybe he should start with throwing some…he’s the only one that has enough time at the end to do some show boating
When MC was winning and throwing nac nacs the crowd ate it up. Maybe this is what Jett needs to win over the fans.
Scene: Jett Lawrence is leading the last lap of the main and throws a nasty no footed can over the trips...
Vital Mx 12 seconds later:
"I'm sick of Jett and his cockyness."
"Jett needs to focus more on the championship and less on being a brostyle Motocrosser.
"Guess Jett needs to go do loop de loops with Twitch Steinbecker"
"Carmichael's no footed can-canner was way more better send-ed.
"Jett would of probably been 1 or 2 off the hole-shotter if he wasn't thinking about doing nic-nac no-footers on the last lap"
I say we bring back Tits !!!
Yeah I don't get the fist pump. We need more Damon Bradshaw and Guy Cooper style.
Doesn’t even need to be a top guy.
Guy Cooper made a name for himself this way. It’s called showmanship.
Today’s day and age is so different. Could a guy do some whips or tricks without getting flamed out?
Pit Row
Maybe yea. Personally I’d be pumped if he or any of these guys to be fair came up with a signature move. I loved that McGrath era for that. I just hope the crowds see it as a cool thing if Jett was to pull something like that and not a cocky move.
Mcadoo did that earlier this year!

Used to nac nac every jump on this game just to hear the annoying announcer say Nac Nac!
Could be Barcia, but this is not what they focus on. Roczen too.
Sometimes I think it was Langston that ended the last lap heroics.
I’d go for any of the below….
The best part was the top 5 guys doing a "hot" lap before the heats and throwing huge whips, nacs, and others. Was awesome.
Supercross used to be so much cooler. I'm loving the racing more than ever now but it is noticeably missing the fun/cool factor of years prior.
Remember when webb "dabbed" or whatever TF it was and a bunch of you lost your minds?
The absolute highlight for me was Windham's transfers. I was fortunate enough to see a few of those in person.
Hell..... along with the Nac Nac....bring back actual supercross racing.
The tracks suck, the broadcast sucks, 4-strokes suck.....
Joel Elliot would do the heel clicker over here back in the day.
