Who continues racing for several more years?

Out of the older riders, who continues racing the longest? Does anyone pull a Reedy or Brayton? A couple are obviously not going to be around much longer but felt like I should list them anyways. Curious what you guys think.

Jason Anderson

Justin Barcia

Ken Roczen

Eli Tomac

Cooper Webb

Malcolm Stewart

They may all retire the exact same year!

Out of all the them, I could imagine Roczen hanging around and doing select races the longest.
Genuinely seems to have got to the point where he just enjoys racing.

And that’s a bit of a shock considering where he was at two years back.

I'd probably put Barcia in the same boat. As long as he's healthy and Troy is willing to keep him, I could see him sticking around for a bit, too.

Are you using “several” in the terms of the next 2 years or actual 7 more years?

Webb will be around the longest and Eli will be done after this year . The rest maybe a couple years . My humble opinion of course . I think it's great these guys are still around but there is supposed to be younger riders moving up to take these rides . Also it seems there are more riders wanting to come from the GPs than there has been in the recent past .

Didn't Webb say on Pulp recently that he thinks he has at least five more years in him? Maybe it was somewhere else.

Some of the older pros out there getting 10th make me happy to hear they’re retiring.  I always worry that folks who used to run up front, and are a 12th place guy now will sustain a major injury and at what cost? Dean Wilson, Christian Craig, AC for example.  If they love racing I’m happy for them, but it’s such a major risk and investment for a smaller reward than they’re used to.

Tomac just might become that guy, I’d love to see him stick around even if he isn’t winning..

Reminds me of Reed where every year he is like “I’ll do one more and see”

Please no. I don't want to see Eli go out like Reedy

I'd say we see Ando through '27.

That’s the correct math (current contract 24-25 and, at this point, I’m guessing he’ll go for a 26-27 deal); but, he needs to get back up front if he’s gonna get the kind of contract he knows and wants.

Oh, and, Good Morning…Space Monkey! (NASA Chimp…technically)

I would guess Triumph for his final 2 years.

Jason Anderson - 3 more years if he signs with Triumph after Kawi

Justin Barcia - 1 more Year, then overseas racing and living near his Wife's family.

Ken Roczen - 2 more years, less motocross, more supercross only.

Eli Tomac - Racing outdoors this year and then 1 more full year and possibly done, unless he's still having fun and winning races.

Cooper Webb - 3-4 more years if he stays in good race shape.

Malcolm Stewart - 1 more year at most. Been a rough go for him on the 450.

Right back at ya, Manny. It is indeed a good morning, headed to pick up my Beta 450RX from SVC in about an hour. Cool

Hasn't Anderson said a bunch of times he wants to stick around the sport as long as he can? With that in mind I don't see him going anywhere anytime soon, will probably keep going well beyond the others. If Webb wins this championship I don't see him sticking around much longer, he'll probably be happy to have beaten Jett before calling it quits.

Biggest Reed fan in existence here, I loved seeing him out there even just battling for 10th, to me he didn’t tarnish anything, would have rather had him there mid-pack than not at all..

I can see Kenny hanging around for a bit and staying on the RMZ.

I could imagine that signing for the smaller team on a bike deemed by some to be 'uncompetitive' actually relieved a bit of pressure and he's really doing great.

Is anybody expecting him to win anymore?? Maybe not, but he can ride this thing out in the top ten for many many years to come yet. He'll even snag podiums and the odd win for a year or two yet.

I reckon Tomac is over it.

I think the same with Anderson too.

Webb will hit it hard all the time he has the form he has recently- when he hits a slump like he did with KTM, he'll be signing off for good.

I think Malcolm still thinks he has something to prove, and if some big hitters retire soon, he'll have an easier ride to a podium.

Barcia... I just dont know.

Agree 100% I thought it was cool that he could accept that he wouldn’t be at the front anymore, but kept riding because he loved racing at that level, no matter the results.

I wish more top guys would either keep competing past their prime, or come back for the odd race. If they’re happy to run around in 10-20th, I reckon that’s badass.

I hope none of them hang around as long as reed did.

That was an embarrassment.

People bust their ass their whole lives and don’t get to reach the level of a 39 year old Chad Reed..

It wasn’t embarrassing at all, it was cool that he loved racing enough to still do it even though he couldn’t run up front anymore.
