They got 2 Rounds, not sure why they keep pushing this, but they do.
The WMX Series is set to return with an eight-round schedule in 2024
The next round will take place on Sunday, June 16 in conjunction with the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship at High Point Raceway on Father’s Day weekend. The series will then travel to Crawfordsville, Indiana for their fifth round on Sunday, August 25 to run another race in conjunction with the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Ironman Raceway.

“Why” is so they can have a national championship series. Not sure why someone would have a problem with more opportunities for riders of all sorts.
So disappointed in this thread.....

Couldn't they do any of the other AMA races like the other 6 rounds they do? Loretta's or something like that?
I just don't think an AMA National track is the proper venue for them.

Here's an idea: why not have a 2-stroke support class Natl Champ series at each round... with Nicole and Carrie making sure we know when the gate's about to drop?
I'd miss all 4 of the fart-can class motos just to see that!

Glad they are trying to support the ladies. More womens MX is better for everyone. And some of these ladies can ride.
I always love seeing the small girls on 50s and 65s. They listen so much better than the boys and come along faster. Its great when they frustrate the boys with their speed. Once they get to 85s the boys physical superiority kicks in and the technique alone isnt enough.
I think either of those options are fine. Most of these national tracks are pretty close to what everyone rides all the other weekends of the year. If they can't all do the jumps, thats fine by me. KTM 50s ride the supercross tracks in a modified manner.
They’ll race before the first moto I’m assuming but will they get a second moto? Seems like a second moto would interfere with TV.
The ladies are racing on Sunday.

Would be nice if the Women had a race at every National, even if it was a short 4-5 lap moto during intermission.

Have you guys actually seen girls ride? They aren't a category in the special Olympics or something there are a ton of fast girls out there, their wrists twist the same as a males wrist.
My wife races off-road with me and most girls just want to be another rider or racer and not get weird treatment by guys that are weird to women because their wife tells them when they are allowed to go ride.
Seems like a lot more women racing off-road and to be honest seems like a more realistic path to a career racing for women is in GNCC, there are a handful of girls getting paid to race there, WMX not so much at least yet.
I would wager a good number of women can ride circles around some of the dudes on this board...
I'll throw my hat in that accusation back in my moto days.
