Anstie has to be gutted after that...  But the team has been really good.

Very impressive team. I’m confident they will come back stronger.

I appreciate the accountability, but this comes off as really awkward IMO. Mechanicals are part of the sport no matter what the teams budget. Learn and move forward.

IF anyone knows Yarrives dad then you know Yarrive has a lot of heart cause there's not heart bigger than his dads.

Valiant effort by the whole team this year, and big respect to Yarrive for talking about it and not trying to hide what happened. I feel gutted for the whole team, especially Max. They're outperforming HRC in that class in a much more stacked coast.

I'm gonna order some new batteries from Firepower just to show my support.

I think that having this failure might end up being almost as good as winning the title.  It shows how passionate the team owner is about his team . Max showed amazing professionalism and I was extremely impressed by how cool he was able to stay. He let people know that he was feeling some strong emotions , but  did it in a very professional way .

I feel like You learn more about somebody when You see how they handle a failure. And often what feels like the worst thing that could happen, strong, positive, determined people will often turn these types of things around and make them into positives.

Max is still healthy and the bike did not fail in a way that hurt him. That alone is a great positive.  Still sucks for them. But its nice to see how much love the team owner has for the sport. Maybe this will end up helping them get some more support.

I had a conversation with Yarrive at a hat store in Nashville last year, walked away thinking wow what a nice guy. Later After the races I ran into him again, and several team members in a bar. He remembered me from earlier in the day, and came over to have more conversation and brought the crew over and introduced everybody and we all hung out like we’ve known each other for years. I could tell then the heart and closeness of he and his people, this video is further proof of that.

Mechanicals are part of the support, just like sometimes riders "fail".

not the first time we seen some great actions like this from Yarrive. not long ago he even jumped on vital to close down some rumor's and set the record straight.

He really is so passionate about the industry and has done so much for us in Australia.

Hope the team bounces back from it all. Always will back the fire power team.

Yarrive is one of the great managers in this Sport (and I've worked with most of them, for decades). Truly awesome guy.

Class act.  Man…you can see how invested, and I don’t mean financially, they are in this effort.  Gutted for them and Max ….but I am a huge fan.  These people make the sport better…as opposed to some higher dollar efforts.

Harden up princess, you couldn't count how many riders/teams in motorsport that have the potential but have been robbed of a good result by circumstances outside their own control, they don't go sniveling on social media, cop it and move on with confidence & decorum.

Well, with Deano out...and probably out for good, Max is the only guy left to carry the torch. For that bike to grenade like that ruined their only chance at some points. I'd be bummed too...especially when it was a team-fail, not a rider-fail.

At this level I am sure the bike and motor get complete rebuilds every week so it was just a freak part failure.

Lumpy, it was a OEM part that failed. It happens.

I doubt they rebuild their race motors every week. SX is what...2 hrs on the motor per race day?

Clutches yes but a complete rebuild sounds excessive. I stand to be corrected.

They probably open the engine up and inspect, replace what's worn out. But yeah probably not full rebuilds like PC, Star, HRC, KTM groups.

Double edged sword, also saved him a lot of money

It sucks to have a bike blow up, 1st round was terrible with all the contenders going down at the start. His finishes were 2,6,8 and the dnf last round. Its been a crazy season and anything can happen,I don’t think he was going to win the title with how well the pc guys are riding.like I said it sucks to have a bike blow up and then you will always think what if…..
