Hey guys, keep in mind Naults Powersports is in New Hampshire and they have no sales tax. Thanks to that total price seems a little lower than normal. But that is a great deal.

Good deal!

The big fat yellow turd (lol) might not be the best race bike for a top guy, but it's no Kove either, it looks real good and whatever it's lacking, the pleasure of a brand new bike at such a price is hard to pass...

Enjoy!

You haven’t noticed a ‘top guy’ doing reasonably well on one the past couple seasons??

Just noticed a whole team of guys burnt the midnight oil for a whole year to try and catch up on years of development that hasn't been done by a factory which doesn't give crap about racing anymore.

They seem to be pretty good, so I'd guess their bike is a slight bit better than this one and that it wouldn't exactly sell for the same price.

Wink

Are you implying that the Hondas, Kawasakis, Yamahas & Austrian bikes in the same race are ‘stock’ bikes?

we know they’re all spending big bucks and burning midnight oil to improve on their ‘showroom’ models. So your point is moot if we’re being honest..🤷‍♀️

I am impressed with a bunch of kind replies . I didn't expect that. Vital has a current group of good people.

I know you'll enjoy that bike.

The timing was all wrong (my truck is torn apart in the garage and we're trying to buy a house) but the price was right. I picked up this brand new 2023 leftover RMZ 450 on Saturday at Nault's in Manchester NH for 6200 out the door. Time to swap some parts from my 18' to the 23' and kick it 😁IMG 20240309 153946488 MF PORTRAIT

The irony of your dickweed comment is that Kenny's RMZ is the closest to stock out of all the top riders out there. And it started out as the "last place" 450, the mighty RMZ you see the OP bought.

OP, $6200 out the door is unreal in 2024, what a score.

Sick deal on the bike. Seriously though, spend $35 on some moto tie downs. Well worth not dealing those ratchet ones Laughing

So far I've swapped over FCP engine mounts, KYB Shock, Aluminum throttle tube from the 18, and added a GUTS seat cover, FC revalve, handguards, and some graphics. Since taking the photos I've also added my Ride Link from the 18 (I was waiting on fresh bearings for it) and fresh (matching) grips!

If I was in the market for a moto bike that I could also trail ride occasionally I would buy a Zook in a heartbeat. That's one helluva machine for the price!

There was a local vet fast as hell who rode those for a long time and never had to put a dime in it , the durability was impressive

Always have , and always will have a soft spot in my heart for the yellow bikes. Wouldn't hurt my feelings owning one again either. Congrats on the new bike my man..

Great looking bike.

Hard to make a Suzuki look bad. I'm sure people manage it, but generally they still look sooo good.

6200 OTD maybe less than half for an Austrian bike.  Maybe even a Beta or Jap bike.  That’s a good deal.

If I run across a screaming deal on a used Yellow bike I may buy one.  But I’d miss my wife and one of the dogs.

The bike is half price... just buy two and bring the other dog.... Wink

Well I hate to admit it, but I just rode the bike for the first time yesterday (new job/move/life etc). I just did the break-in on it and took it easy since I haven't ridden this season. One thing was very evident, the clutch feel is not as positive/definitive as it was on my 18. I bought my 18 used with about 20 hours on it and I believe it had hinson clutch springs. Looking online briefly I see hinson high temp springs, but they don't say much about being stiffer etc. I also see pro circuit offers clutch springs that are 10-15% stiffer. My question is does anybody have a recommendation for clutch springs for this particular bike? Are there major differences or am I over thinking it? Thank you!

(Also while I don't consider this a "bike build" thread per-se mods can move it there if it is more appropriate)

Thanks,

-Justin

I’m not sure on the clutch springs, but that is a really nice bike. It’s cool that all the stuff you invested in on an earlier model transfers over.
