I wonder how hard it would be to put a slight grade on it? Make the center of the start straight the low spot and have a ..., I dont know..., 2 inch drop per 50 feet toward the center. A low slight ditch being in the middle of the tarp covered straight with a trash pump pumping water from time to time out of the stadium.
They have a small amount of dirt down now but they have a large pile under a tarp. Once the rain passes they will spread it out.

I'm headed to Birmingham in two hours. Gonna be a great weekend. It will be the first supercross I've been to in 20 years.
Looking bad on the live cam. Dam.
We typically have on The Weather Channel at work. A lot of coverage of the system rolling through Alabama and Georgia. Before/after commercials they keep showing the camera from Protective Stadium and mentioning how muddy the Supercross race will be.
For better or for worse, it's free publicity.
Have a great time! Even if it rains, better to be at a SX race on a rainy day than to be at work on a sunny day. 😏

I'm guessing Birmingham will get at least 3 inches between now and Saturday around 5 pm. But my gut tells me it will over 4 inches looking at the radar and knowing I got 2.25 inches in 24 hours just outside Fort Worth, TX from the same system.
