First race back on the Kawi and he qualifies for his first main of the year. 

He raced it last weekend as well

Wanted to ride a bike he’d already setup, as well as sponsorship deals to honour, instead of a last minute fill in is what I heard.

Yet Bloss finished 10th on it tonight, his best 450 main result?

Incorrect. John wanted more than just one more race. Sign him for 6 rounds not just one more. Beta needs to commit.

Edit: I remember him running around 3rd for a much of a race, but must've crashed late. Best finish is 8th at East Rutherford 2023 according to the vault.

Exactly this.  These fill in rides are tough when he likely committed to represent other brands for the year and they have supported with at least product and maybe funds too.

I talked to John last night after the main. 
He said they wanted him to race Dallas only, he said sign me for the remainder of the series or he’s not interested.  
He said he wanted to be loyal to his personal sponsors that supported him, and for one race it wasn’t worth it. 
Did not talk badly about the bike btw.

That Beta must have been pretty bad as he got best result riding privateer Kawasaki..

He was super close to getting in the main at A2, but wasn’t really in it at Texas and on an outlier supercross makes it in. Think the technical non big rhythm style of Daytona suited him

Bloss finished 6th at Las Vegas 2018.  He also had two 8th-place finishes in 2018. 

However, he has generally been outside the top-10 in his 450 career, so this was a good finish for him.

Fill in rides dont usually get the bonus programs that the rider they are filling in for signed for.

Bike and flights/hotel/ food accomadations usually, then its up to the rider to prove he belongs there!
