I thoughtMX people were supposed to be tough guy badasses? Just turn the sound down for 20 seconds if you can't cope, or maybe look for your safe space.

Bruce’s comments are valid imo.
Dissing your wife doesn’t make you a bad ass. I couldn’t imagine being married to, or having sex with someone I don’t like listening to…to each his own.

The TV program has scheduled blocks of time for certain features.

Blame her bosses if you didn't like the subject or thought it was too long.

If you truly do mute her, it is amazing the power you give her over your life.

Is she the greatest? No. Will I spend one second of my life wringing my hands over how much I wish they had someone better? Also no.

Some of you folks never have lived in a time when you got one ABC Wide World of Sports broadcast of Carlsbad per year, and it shows.
You know what's really funny....the power I have over you based on your responses and name-calling.

But since you continue to bare your ass...you are wrong once again. I've watched races in the last 6 decades....so don't spew your holier-than-though, "lived in a time when" BS.

Most people here just want to watch and listen to the race being called without worthless and annoying interruptions that add nothing.

Yeah it was a bit to sappy and over the top. No mention of what Forkner is doing to get over it. I was just waiting for them to say Jett’s been getting professional counseling to help get over it.

It's a hard job, she is doing fine, probably better than I would be with that much pressure.

I did laugh when she started with the "The team said, honestly..." for the fifth time.

Give it a rest Dr. Phil. Stop making assumptions like "most people" and telling other people they're liars.

While she does drive me crazy with the story book of words, she is just doing her job as Jett is the chosen one, the new poster boy for SX and they will force feed us to jump on the bandwagon, if you will…

One SX event on Peacock averages 3 hours in length = 180 minutes. I would guess that other than interviewing the winners, WC gets 35 seconds of air time once or twice an event. 450/250 heat winners = 2 minutes of WC same for LCQ and main. she probably gets 7 and a half minutes total which is 4% of the show . . .

How can you resist those big brown eyes and excitement introducing the race?  Then, everyone gets a congratulations and tell us what it was like to win and now get to talk to my smile.  There’s worse things I could imagine on the podium.  If it was just JT it wouldn’t be as fun without some female charm.

The interludes sounds like she knows the riders and teams.  The “honestly” everyone uses makes me wonder a little though.

Too progressive to hire someone with an american neutral, midwestern, or southern accent. They rather fly in some foreigner to sound extra proper

I certainly agree a proper accent sounds like it adds at least 10 points to your IQ score.  I always get mixed up between English, South African, and Australian.  Some riders who sound a bit southern accented seem to add their fan base or if they don’t have to talk perfect.

I was listening to a Blair interview and accidentally stumbled upon Will thinking there was some kind of March 2024 debate about announcers.  I guess people complaining can be timeless.  I liked the team tonight with Stew, RC, and Weege who are all industry leaders as well as JT and Will who you wouldn’t expect to be as a lapper seeing all angles or a grammar teacher type who is actually a wake boarder.  Some countries are hard on their kids to talk proper and they do tend to get the speaking jobs.  They say Diffy considers MX one of his fav sports as well as Langston wanting to be champ like Albertyn.  I am speaking better already hearing them.  Try these words: https://www.berlitz.com/blog/hardest-english-words-pronounce-spell

I misread the word as accidentalist but now realize is accent.  I think it’s a religious thing in some countries like south Africa where the Catholic schools are extra strict or like spaceballs planet of the apes if Tomac loses: “Oh shit, there goes the planet.”  A lot of TV shows have foreign accents to not be boring or make it easier to understand annunciating.  It certainly beats a redneck, “you ain't from around here boy” host.  Stewart can sort of play on it sarcastically but it sounds like he knows better just using slang to relate to common folk with him as a southerner too.

They spend 5 minutes of a 20 minute main event talking to pit reporters instead of calling the race.......  Really don't understand that.

Yeah, but they still have to have a woman on the broadcast.  Have you noticed every male sport now has to have a female in the commentary team?  It's annoying because it's a statement of fact that women are not as good at sport.  For example, a top female rugby player commentating on an All Blacks game has no experience of that level of competition. To mix sports, you wouldn't get a male player from the 2nd division to commentate on English Premier League games!

We want to know what percent Chase’s hand healing is to see if he is at full speed that makes the race have more sense and the extra reporters could have talked to the riders and team managers.  It may cut in on some action but it’s s supposed to sound like they are doing their homework and there is more than just watching the bikes cruise around.  A 3rd or 4th voice gives the booth a quick break but i sometimes wonder if the messages are pre-recorded for a storyline thinking about a rider “needing to get a good start” and momentum which could just be fluff if it’s “for the 2nd week in a row” not as any big statistic.  Or “what the rider needs to gain more confidence”.

Tomac claiming to have figured out something on his bike was good to know but i appreciated how he could have blamed the bike for not winning Daytona but he was open to say he just didn’t feel comfortable with the quad jump that no announcer could say yes or no to without him they can refer to or not.  From the fans it looked like smoking but if there was a bike issue but not to him at least that’s what he claimed.  There may be more from the team about it and they interviewed the mechanic to find out what they thought.  That is what a traditional pit reporter does is get info they can’t in the booth.

i don’t know if anyone saw but JT was at Forkner’s crash jump after the race showing what happened even with a drone from our POV on NBC but not sure who could see it.

I don’t mind Will reporting.  What I am not a big fan of was that blonde chick who showed up at Arlington all decked out in a red dress to introduce the show like it’s a dress-up pony competition.  We didn’t need someone with lots of lipstick appeal to make the race exciting.  Sure, she’s nice to look at but she didn’t have much to add.  There was already piro and Texas glitz no need to add ditz even though i am sure she has done plenty of actual reporting for other sports and situations.  She just seemed out of place maybe not in Texas.  Or, maybe that is how Forkner’s contact lens popped out lol.  Will is instead ‘pony tail’ and named Christien for the Bible Belt so she’s more innocent presenting.

Well considering out of the six races run tonight (heats & mains), only one winner was American (McAdoo), I don’t see why having international commentators is a problem?
SMX is branded a world championship, why not embrace that?

If other sports have female reporters then maybe they are trying to balance genders and have something for the female listeners to relate to.

The NFL has had female reporters since the 70s

Speaking of, they just started the international broadcasting for Spanish speaking with a former racer but they are both male.
