I think he might be done.....when you have a crash that scares you that bad, it never really leaves your head. Not to say he couldn't come back but I don't think he'll be the same if he does......maybe a few years off might help but by then it's usually too late to get back to the level he was at.

I have zero problems in being judged in here. It was YOU that wanted me to back up my post, and when i did that you say that i can’t handle being judged?

Are you seriously that narrow minded that you belive that it has to do with jett? It has to do with forkners acting no matter who is at the reciving end of it.

Congrats on your douchebag of the month award....

Wow, that was some very real dialogue Austin shared with his followers.

I hope you haters have a solid support system in your life; because when you face injury, loss, tragedy, suffering (and we all do)- there's more to that journey than shedding a few tears....

Nah, I'm out. If you think your screenshot did anything more than make you look like more of a dick, then it's pointless to continue.

I believe there's a scripture in the Bible, where Jesus tells a group of religious people who are ready to stone a woman who was caught in adultery..."Those of you who have no sin, cast the first stone!".

Not trying to have a religious discussion here, but all of us, even you, have acted stupid...and said things we shouldn't have said. I'm not a Forkner fan, but I believe in giving Grace where it's due. Maybe you could see clear to do the same thing, instead of acting like you're a perfect example of a human being.

You're coming off like an attention whore.

Just saying...

I came here for an update on Austin, instead I get keyboard warriors arguing like middle schoolers. Heal up Austin.

I've never been a fan of Forkner, but would you rather he NOT post something that seems pretty raw and honest?

He's been hurt a lot, yep. Bad luck, self-inflicted, whatever you want to call it, that's fine. But to post that crap after a near-miss crash that could have ended his career or put him in a chair, and his raw peek inside his head....man you must be a pretty miserable person.

Conflating two vastly different situations here. Austin here took a dickhead low blow shot at Jett who was going through a pretty minor (all things considered) PR blip. He saw the chance to pounce based on his past with Jett  & YES Forkner looked like an asshole for this. Just an asshole, nothing more.

Now, Austin is sharing something not even a week removed from probably the worst moment in his short life, directly impacting him and his livelihood , & you're giving it the 'tough luck pal, you shouldn't have joined the pile up on Jett after he spilt some milk' be serious man. As if that means he deserves something like this. Equivalent karma would be like him stubbing his toe after writing that message about Jett, not this you moron.

Good for him for posted that and being honest. I hope he heals, mentally and physically.

If it was me, I wouldn't try to figure out what God is trying to tell me, I would figure out what I want to do. Best of luck to Austin.

Get better soon.  That was a rough get off.

We have all had those crashes that make us miserable and question ourselves right after the accident.

It makes one think about leaving the sport you love, but not on that kind of note.  Most times, it's not an option.

I think he will want to leave on his terms.  Either way - best of luck.

Vitards doing what they do best on those flaming keyboards.

I support AF fully getting back on the horse or letting that part of life go and moving onto a new chapter.

I cant understand how someone could see a guy who makes their weekends worth talking about go down so hard and so violently

and then point out some dumb thing he posted on the internet.

Ironic isn't it haha.

Some people simply get their rocks off by trashing and bashing on others. It makes them feel better about themselves. How self entitled do you have to be to take a thread and make it about your beliefs of a person.  In the end, they are nothing and provide nothing so we just move along.

This type of adversity goes beyond Motocross.  I got nothing but love and respect for Austin, he can hold his head high no matter what he decides to do with his life, he has accomplished more than most ever will.  Prayers and good vibes for Austin.

Sounds like it might be tough to come back from mentally.  Hope he can do it.

If I saw anybody else post that. I’d have a hard time expecting them to get back to speed. As my bro would say, you loose just a little something every big crash.  That being said.

I will never doubt Austin’s ability to mount a comeback and get back to speed

Just read Ecclesiastes and Proverbs. Theyre not preachy. Just everyday wisdom from someone who had it all and fkd it up.

Or if that doesn't jive, just Meditations by Marcus Aurelius

Or maybe both. Like you said good for posting that. Either way, he's got some soul searching to do. I used to run into him, and his family racing the MO State MX Series back in the day. He comes from a very humble family, and his Mom and Dad were always very friendly to everyone. That was a tough watch, he's matured a lot and I hope he makes the right decision whatever that may be.

Sounds like that crash really rattled him. I hope he can find joy in riding again, be it just for fun or professionally. I wouldn’t blame him if he decided to retire, but hopefully we’ll see him again

Vitard, singular. There's only one in this thread that can't seem to separate his fanaticism from his humanity.

Concussion protocol says he should be in a dark room, no electronic devices, resting. Although I appreciate the update, Austin, please take care of your health first and foremost.
