Then you either have Alzheimers or a very short memory.   James Bubba Stewart and his FMOTP rabid fans were much worse, the only thing that kept them Humble was a pesky freakle faced red head that beat him in every AMA championship they race together in and now despise in the Announcers booth.

How hang on one Picken! second, there has been negative comments at nauseam about Jett Lawrence and his fans, because of his success and that his fan base are excited to watch him race and win, BUT! were suppose to pretend that there wasn't any James Stewart mania back when he came on the scene.  I'm just making this comparison, because what's going on with Jett Lawrence isn't anything new in the history of Supercross and Motocross, he's just the current Superstar of the sport, kind of like Michael Jordon was at the beginning of his NBA career.

You’re delusional…..and are everything that is wrong with fans in today’s world….yap when your man crush wins and go completely silent when he doesn’t and the world turns against him…I think Jett is a great talent but has a long way to go and a lot to learn (hopefully humbleness) before he is considered one of the greats…I’m pretty sure he will make a run but fans like you make it really difficult to root for him…

When Jett won the first two motos of last years AMA Motocross championship, his detractors said it was impossible for him to have a perfect season, then when he did go perfect they said it was because the field was weak. It's excuse after excuse whenever Jett Lawrence has any kind of success.  I remember the days when James Stewart fans were bragging that he was going to be the guy to take RC down, but it never happened and then they started getting pissed and making excuses.  I'm just pointing out that like any fans of whatever sport or team, they cheer for their favorite athlete.  This weekend there are going to be crazed Chiefs and 49er fans going crazy and making excuses why their team lost.  Jett Lawrence's haters are JUST! as annoying as his rabid fans and it has been and always will be that the Haters get pissed when their team or favorite rider loses.  All I have to say is Suck it up Buttercup, Jett won't win everything forever, maybe just for the next 10 years, but it will eventually end and then you'll be Happy, Happy Happy.

The funniest part is that his golden pony couldn't hack it in less than perfect conditions the last few weeks...was riding over his head and ate shit in the whoops too.

He won this week on the most boring track we've seen in I don't know when, essentially arenacross/startcross.   Real impressive.

Tomacs shock was apparently blown,   Webb got a bad start and moved thru the pack.

These kind of fans in any sport are truly insufferable.

If I may, the day of a rider dominating for a long period of time like MC indoors and RC, Stew outdoors are over.

The competition is all eating right, training right, and have a replica track to practice on.

Hannah new he had already won the upcoming race on Tuesday - Thursday when he was running or biking his butt off (and most of his competition were not)! It was when Barnett, Wardy, O'show, and Bailey came into the picture that the playing field was more level. I stood next to him in his prime at Unadilla and was shocked how big his legs were compared to his upper half. He still bikes his ass off to this day!

Long story short, the competition is much, much closer now for someone to dominate for 10 years in my opinion.

First off I’m not a Jett hater or detractor ( I don’t have much respect for his agent though) I’m just not going to get caught up in all the hype so soon as I’m more of a realist…he came very close to ending his season this weekend and it feels like he’s going to have a big one at some point this season….you can tell me and others to suck it buttercup after two SX wins if you like but we should be having these conversations win he’s at 50 SX wins and 5 or 6 SX championships….your in your face enthusiasm after just 2 race wins is a little much…as far as the 49er and Chiefs fans they’re excited for A Super Bowl Championship and they are not claiming that they are the best ever and are not making any dynasty claims (although if the Chiefs win they can start those talks)…Jett fans just need to cool they’re jets a bit…

I know the feeling, I can remember being at a track and here comes this group of super fast kids on their 80's, it was traumatizing, because I felt like I was battling a swarm of Bee's with all those screaming little 2-stroke swarming around me as we were going around the turns.

Haha I hope the kid was cool to ya in the pits.  Last yr I was 56 on my stock 04 cr125 wearing 98 SHIFT pants & an old early 90,s cotton fox jersey . I just Love  the feel of this soft cotton jersey until it’s soaked in sweat. The teen boys & there dad,s come Ovr in the pits. Asking questions who modded the engine. I say it’s stock but I hv a new coil & a ikat it run like it’s plugged into a transformer. It’s hard to get on the pipe so I try to keep it singing. They ask where u pro ?  I say yeah I did a couple Profeshenal races & spell Profeshenal out. They laugh & feel better getting beat by a Super Trucker. Haha

You admit the guys that dislike Jett are as annoying as the one that blindly cheer for him. So change the cycle instead of gushing over him like a teenage girl. Where's your Jett threads the past 2 weeks? To be clear I'm a fan of his.

Other than the Mud races, Jett Lawrence has everyone covered in the speed category in Supercross if it's a normal dry track.  I wonder what's going through the minds of all these past AMA Pro SX and MX champions when they see 20 year old Jett in front of them and they're like Damn! this kid is fast, where can I find more speed, but all they can do is watch him steadily pull away no matter how hard they push.  I'm thinking after his rookie perfect MX season in 2023, Jett has already the psychological edge knowing he IS! the fastest rider and he's only going to get better.  So! many great riders who would have won Championships, but ended up racing for 2nd, because there was always that one rider like Ricky Carmichael or Jeremy McGrath that always had them covered.   Jett is certainly on track to becoming a legend to the dismay of those who don't like him.

Dude, you are what we call…

Good luck with that.

I’m 100% certain if Jett was on a KTM you wouldn’t make any threads about him. You love and obsess over everything Honda.

I saw how you changed your tune about Chase the minute he signed with KTM

Well! you'd be 100% wrong about that, because I actually own a 2022 KTM 350 XCF Factory edition and a 2007 525 XCW, so I'm actually a fan of KTM.

The only person this is affecting is Sexton, because that used to be him up until this year.  The speed we've seen this far from Jett is a slower pace than we were seeing from Sexton, sure he crashed a lot, but his pace was sometimes over 1 sec faster than the rest of the field.  Tomac and Webb, I don't think it affects very much.  Tomac can still go that fast, but seems like he's not comfy on the bike yet.  I think by the time he's comfortable he'll be out of the championship, he simply just missed a lot of valuable testing time.  And Webb, it affects the least if any, he's never been the fastest, that's not how he wins races or championships.  Though this year is the fastest Webb has ever been on a 450, easily had 2nd place pace this past weekend.  In my eyes the championship will be Jett vs Cooper.

I think you are right, Webb has never looked faster and more determined. I've never been a Webb fan to be honest, not sure why, and when I watched him in Paris I wrote him off as a contender as he looked and rode slow, finishing 20 seconds behind the top 3. But since A1 he has come out swinging and determined to get to the front. I love seeing the fight from him, and as always if he is there at the end, its game on, cause nobody is mentally tougher on the track than Webb...

Last time he was this motivated was probably going into outdoors 2016

Did Webb back into the 8 wins he had during his second title run? Were they all handed to him?

When Bradshaw beat Johnson in Osaka as a 16 year old, it must have just devastated him... NOT. Jett is great. Some of his fans? Less so. Imagine the psychological toll on them if like Manny said,,, they jinx him.

You admit the guys that dislike Jett are as annoying as the one that blindly cheer for him. So change the cycle instead of gushing over...

You admit the guys that dislike Jett are as annoying as the one that blindly cheer for him. So change the cycle instead of gushing over him like a teenage girl. Where's your Jett threads the past 2 weeks? To be clear I'm a fan of his.

Jesus! why you getting your Panties all in a twist.  I'm going to give you some advice, if you see a Jett Thread on this forum...

Jesus! why you getting your Panties all in a twist.  I'm going to give you some advice, if you see a Jett Thread on this forum, save yourself some anguish and don't click on it, but you know you won't be able to resist and you'll take a Peek! and then you'll get all Pissy and Mad and start writing insulting things about those of us that enjoy creating topics about Jett Lawrence.

We'd rather you just not make ANOTHER dumb ass Jett thread...

it's a major factor psychologically but the top pros have the skill to evaluate and dig deep, especially if they spot any weakness. the mud races gave them a sense of his vulnerability, even if it wasn't a legitimate reason. this past weekend erased all that. still, they smell enough blood in the water to mount an aggressive charge for wins, so enough of the door has been left open, in their minds, to believe they can beat him on a dry track. and they will. it's unlikely Lawrence won't have more setbacks, so I'm expecting battles from hereon out.

I actually don’t think Jett has them covered in speed. I think that Sexton/Tomac/Roczen all have the same speed available but they are seasoned enough to recognize you can’t go that close to the edge for long so they don’t. As someone said earlier Sexton has already proved that. At the triple crown Tomac proved that also when Jett couldn’t catch him. As someone also said earlier Jett has already had a few close ones that will ultimately probably get him.

I remember when Roczen was dominating everyone in MX on his way to his title on the Suzuki, I kept saying man he needs to chill out a bit, he doesn’t need to push that hard to win by sometimes minutes, it’s going to get him and it did unfortunately.

I will also say, most of the time the guy with the most “speed” doesn’t win SX. Webb and Dungey are just a couple examples of that and they have won most of the 450sx titles in the last 10 years.

Yup, the old adage "lose the battle win the war" 🏆

I will say Sexton seems to be growing increasingly on point with his KTM, and he’s definitely got the speed. Lawrence, at some base level, may ride that same speed with less energy and a lower heart rate, so this may be the edge he’s got, but again, Sexton is looking excellent.

Sexton looks awesome, way more “in control”
