I don’t think he was waving at him in qualifying. I thought he did at first but watched it back immediately after and it looked like Deegan was throwing his arm around in circles to presumably work out arm pump in his bad arm.

I don’t think the wave at the start after he did a lap was directed at anyone in particular either, just throwing his arm at anyone who was there out of frustration.

It's the 1st turn. You can't stuff that many bikes in one spot and expect to come out cleanly everytime. Deegs should know this.
