That would be rad. I'm all for riders changing continents, both directions, to mix it up.

I thought he was talking about WSX. I’m sure when he leaves Kawi, he will want to be on a team that allows him to race that series. I do not see him in MXGP, but that would be awesome if he did.

But WSX doesn't race in Europe anymore....so he must be talking  MXGP...

Would be a real surprise, as Anderson is a lot better rider in Supercross...

It's hard to imagine, but I'd love it if he did.  Just don't wait until he is done racing like RV was...

He thinks it cool right now while he lives in the world's most perfect moto climate.

It won't be cool when he has to live in Belgium with no whole foods or English speakers/ shit weather and multiple hours to get to the test track that isn't ever groomed

You need a lot of queues before you need to ride "multiple hours" in Belgium. In fact you can ride from one side from Belgium to the other side in multiple hours. The truth is that Lommel or tracks just outside Belgium like Grevenbroich or Loon-Plage aren't private tracks and aren't always groomed to perfection. But that is also because MXGP tracks aren't in the same way prepped as the US National tracks.

For the people who want to know, our Belgian answer to Amazon' Whole Foods listens to the name Bio-Planet.

That would be awesome to see, but I think results could be a struggle. Jason was never a great outdoors guy, and the racing Europe is outdoors x10. I would guess he would be a 4-8th place guy - on a good day.

If Jason went to the GPs…I don’t see him living in Belgium. More than likely France or Italy…maybe even Spain or Portugal.

I’m jus’ sayin’…

JA has won 450 nationals.  Been on the podium many times.  And has went to the Nations and won.  The race he was landed on.

His win at Des Nations is really overlooked. He's not the most accomplished outdoor rider and has always ridden better in SX, but he's not "just an sx guy".

Since the beginning of his career, Anderson won zero 250 national and only two 450 nationals (2022).  Not enough to say he would really perform in MXGP world championship, if you ask me...

Both him and Barcia have been flirting with the mxgp, and Barcia have done it for years.

But as someone said earlier, they need to go before they are done with racing. The mxgp teams have probably learned their lesson with RV and don't want that to happen again.

I don't belive that Barcia would ever be a factor in the gp's when it comes to wins, but i think that he at least could survive the training and weather in europe during the winter.

Most of the current top guys are closing in on or have passed 30 years old so the window is closing fast now.

Get a passport bro!

Although English isn't one of the Belgium's three official languages, it is the fourth most popular language. So if you go to Belgium, you will be fine speaking English.

Considering driving. You can cross the whole nation in 3 hours so its about the same time as LAX to Temecula in traffic Tongue

Ungroomed tracks demands skill..

Shit weather in winter is only thing you got right.. 1 internet point to you!

Going to the GPs for Anderson?

I'd be surprised, but happy, if it ever were to happen.

I think one of the biggest 'career extenders / semi retirement money makers' may well be the Indian SX series, as it / if it, gets past the start up, and survives.

Much more so than WSX, which, well, does not look very stable / has never looked stable.

As I've mentioned in another thread (about the Indian SX series ) they've a Massive population, with Huge MC sales, and, their Middle Class is ever growing. Racing really doesn't sell much of our 'toys', it's used to push Brands as a whole. Though, if even a poofteenth of a percentage of the population of the Indian / Other Emerging / soon to be dominant economies get the 'Dirt Bike Bug', it will utterly dwarf the Wests Dirt Bike Boom of the Seventies.

Look to that (a piss poor "sport" - I have absolutely No time for it) game of Cricket. It's massive in India, and, their League(s) are where so many foreigners go to to make Huge amounts, between their 'local' engagements. Or, indeed, once they step down from local / International representation. I'm talking Millions of $$$$ paid to high end / 'names' within that sport. And, the players that go to Indian, live like royalty whilst there. I think the OZ Cricket Captain just announced such an end / slowing down to his career.

I would love to see him make the jump but i would be very surprised a team would offer him a somewhat competitive salary (compared to what he makes in the US). He is a pretty good outdoor rider (3rd & 4th in AMA & he was great at the mxon), but i don't think anyone considers him a championship contender. I don't think he will be considered as a number 1 rider for OEM GP teams, and then he has to compete for a ride vs. guys willing to ride for relatively small salaries (or even bring sponsorship) and who can get podium results.

That is not a knock on Anderson but more on the state of GP's

I think the never ending talk about weather in Europe is such an overplayed conversation. I live in one of the northernmost countries in the world, and my opinion might be skewed because of that, but come on. Belgian winter might be wet and chilly at times, but nothing crazy. Italian or spanish winter is a bliss. Depends so much where you are located and most importantly, what is your attitude towards it.

Put on a vest and an underlayer and I quarantee no one will be cold at Lommel during the off season practice motos.

Isn’t this the guy that drove halfway across Europe to get a Chipotle? And he thinks he wants to live there full time? Haha

Quick thought...  Is this the timing needed for JA to reunite with Bobby at Triumph?  And do it at the GP's?  Hmmm.

As I mentioned above, if it happens, I hope he's not too old to be competitive.

I think Anderson is an amazing outdoor rider, he just needs to figure out his starts (which is weird because he doesn’t seem to have this problem in supercross). I don’t know how many times in the last two season that he tangled and crash in the first turn and had to charge from way back to finish 4-5-6th.
