What an absolutely barn-burner night of racing. The 250s, Futures and of course the 450's.
I guess we know who won the mental battle between Ando and Golden Boy.
...A Tomac win....so freaking cool.
Justin Cooper is looking awesome.
...and Webb, totally under the weather and he takes the overall. 2,2,5 finishes. He's only going to get better.
Amazing night of racing and so many storylines:
Anderson was amazing all night and definitely won the mental battle with Jett. Dude was hitting those big rhythm sections better than anyone all night
Webb is Mr. Consistent and is definitely a title contender
Plessinger keeps the red plate going into the break
Eli was back in Beast Mode! Jett was riding way over his head and he still couldn't gain an inch on Tomac! Very impressive
Speaking of which, Jett is crashing at an insane rate so far. If he doesn't back it down he's not gonna make 17 Rounds
Couple takeaways from tonight and lap times.
Eli had the fastest lap in 2 mains. Honestly did not expect him to be at this level of speed this quickly coming back from his injury and time off the bike. And that Chase nor even Jett couldn't run him down in main 3(or crashed trying) is really impressive.
Chase looked solid in Moto 1. Seems to have made lots of progress with the bike, looked much more comfortable imo.
Jett had one of the top 3 fastest laps in all 3 motos. Consistently fast, unfortunately for him, consistently on the ground.
And El Hombre with a 57.647, he was not to be denied, to all those who said he didn't have the speed anymore, and to those who felt he should move out the way, that was quite a response and statement ride from him. 10/10 ride in main 2. I literally shouted EL HOMBREEEE when he tripled in and passed Rozcen, and I wouldn't have even considered myself a JA21 fan necessarily, but tonight I felt like one.
Webb being able to sneak that overall in with how sick he looked, dude is such a bulldog.
Maybe my favorite triple crown ever.
250 Main 1&2, Futures, and all 3 450 mains were incredible.
It's why people are booing Jett in the stadium. Sick of the force-feeding, 24/7 Cash Cow bros.

I'm not sure on how many different winners, but it appears Hunter won't be one of them, he seems to be floundering around 10th. I'm truly disappointed.
I haven't heard that he is injured???
Sexton, why did he let Jett by?
I'm assuming he thought the track was sketchy and didn't want to push to hard and crash. Also being a triple crown 1 point may have resulted in the same overall position. In the end it worked out for him.
He did break a toe in that round 1 crash, so not 100%. Hard to say if it's been contributing to the pace hes running but I thought we might see him a little higher in the order as well.
I never thought I’d say this but bring on more triple crowns!
Great night of racing! The cliche every year is it's the "most stacked field ever." It really delivered last night finally seeing a dry track. Starts are going to be huge this year
I'm also digging the triple crown format...but the only thing I'd change is how the points are awarded.
Each of the three motos need to pay out points like a normal race which will make guys fight harder in every moto.
Some guys won't fight much in the 3rd moto because it makes no difference to the overall result.
Nevertheless, these short motos are producing plenty of action which is great.
Now, what time does Deegan race?
Right. Defend a guy, you're a fanboy! Criticize him, you're a hater. I'll let you in on a secret, I'm a fan of all theses guys. What happened to Tomac last year sucked. I would love to see him win. I pull for Chase so if he wins, hey great. I was at Dilla in '19 and I told my gf about Jett, he's going to be something special. If he wins, and I expect him too, also great. I don't have an irrational hatred for any of the riders.
Is this the first triple crown with 4 winners? Webb with the overall and Sexton, Anderson, and Tomac with the individual race wins.
The crowd went nuts over him up until this week and they booed him. I don’t think his riding ability changed, I’m going to guess his fit he threw last week caused the change.
At least we have solid racing to talk about instead of drama this week. Not sure I'd walk away from last night saying Jetts clearly the superior rider in the class either. Can any of these guys go from the back of the back and still win? I don't think so. Starts are going to be huge this year
That was just his fanboi speaking... Jett is fast for sure, and that argument can be made for him in outdoors. But SX is a different animal, and he's just one of the predators, like 5-6 others.
Zero crashes from Prado. Crazy.
That was one badass night of racing....seriously Triple crown every week.
Pit Row
Disagree.
Imagine having an injury and having to miss a round, or not qualifying, and suddenly you’re 3 rounds worth of points behind. Plus, a 10 min race shouldn’t pay the same points as a 20 min. That would just further bias those who can get a start.
it’s fine the way it is.
It's so good. If you just watched main #3 and saw Tomac just dogwalk those guys you would think he was the class of the field. That's probably the most I've ever enjoyed a triple crown
Best night of racing I’ve seen in years. Tomac is only down 10 points.
...and Coop was down 18 after the 2nd round.
Just wild to see some awesome parity in a season where everyone wrote it off to P1, P2 finishes all year for the Golden Cash Cow Bros before it even started.
Last night was the best night of racing I think I've ever seen in SX. The track was perfect for those guys to throw down and throw down they did! It Thank God it was a triple crown round! It was epic!
The more gate drops the better
Really enjoyed watching Prado race the 1st four rounds and super happy made it out in one piece. Watching him race last night I was reminded of the difference between a fast intermediate racer and a pro - the intermediate guy has sections of the track he's just as fast as the pro but the pro is WFO in every section. I think we saw Prado start to wrap his brain around just how fast the top guys are in every section of the track and we saw Prado riding about 40 - 50% of each race at podium speed - Crazy how fast he picked up SX
If Prado comes to USA full time next year it's not going to take him long to be a podium threat every race
