Not having the pace is one thing, but to basically wave him by… I was a bit shocked to be honest. He had AP breathing down his neck the whole race, why not just let him by as well.
defiantly kinda weird, but I’m sure his reason is better than my thoughts.
Well it appears Sexton is playing the long game this year. My guess is; he could see Jett was a lot faster and let him by to see his lines, but they were high risk, so he didn’t follow.
Looking at the points, Sexton’s approach is working for him so far despite some bad races.

Paul is also playing the long game and is also mentally more resilient.
RC actually said something notable in that you don't have alot of time to not be right.

While wearing the #1 plate, you just let one of your main contenders go by like that? Maybe make Lawrence lose a bit of time, makes a mistake, i don't know... Just race ffs!

The Dungey approach. That's probably what could really pay off in a field like that. Look at Kenny, top 3 speed but due to mistakes he is already so many points down, it's almost impossible to charge back in a field like that.
Villopoto did this with Dungey, in fact it's not uncommon. reasons may be varied but sometimes it's a better use of energy and effort to chase, study their lines, and refuel the aggression.
Only chase knows, but i suspect he didnt have it in him or it didnt seem worth it to battle for that position at that time. For sure at least one part of his program was not working at that moment.

Honest “in the moment” take I had—chase either heard or saw Jett comin up the inside and seemed to move over like you would in a 180 bowl turn to not get your front end taken out, which didn’t make any sense to me, but that’s what I was thinking when it happened.
I thought this guy had fairly significant brain damage, but I see now it is just an insanely lazy trolling attempt 😂
Pretty crazy to see either way, the only reason I could come up with was what CPR said, let him by, see where the time is being made up, get back after him, but it was too much risk for the reward so he rode smart and it actually ended up paying off.
The way Chase looked in the first race compared to the last race tells me something was wrong. I wonder if he hurt himself in race 2 when he crashed. He just didn't look like he was attacking the track at all. Maybe the bike was garbage once the track went away? Who knows.
Exactly. Chase had a brain fart at a split second. He thought Jett was closer than he was and thought Jett was going to really cut the inside and make Chase lose that inside rut/line so he took the outside to hammer coming out and hold him off. Bad timing, part of Supercross
No need to ride over his head to stay ahead of him. How did it work out for Jett?

Figured he wanted to see the triple in but didn’t look like he pulled it after Jett showed him the line
So your stance is they should just pull over for anyone behind them they think is faster?

Anyone know what the heck that was? I can't imagine that one is going to go over well back at the truck right about now.
I'd say it's the bike bc of Craig's struggles but sexton complained about the Honda too. Too stiff this year? Headcase?

At least he hasn't lost the front end I guess
Becasue AP was slower than him?

Deserves?
What the hell is wrong with you?
I read this as sarcasm, hinting that Jett expects people to move over for him..
at least I hope that was sarcasm 🤪
No, just for Jett. The rest haven’t earned that level of respect.

Man, that is a pretty bad cast you are trying.
I think we’ve just found the new Jimmy Sloan burner account…

I guess you missed the sarcasm.
Dumbgeon.

Chase probably didn’t want to wind up like Forkner on the finish line jump a couple of years ago.
We all keep waiting for you to tell us that you were kidding.

Jett lives rent free in Chase's head...That move was flat out freaking weird. Everyone here just looked at each other and said WTH....
Your account? Yes we all agree it would be good to drain the swamp on this site
Jett fell, so who messed with who? Seems like that rent wasn't free after all.
He said Jett actually caught him off guard
