How many sx or Mx champs came from your state?  Sorry Florida and cali, that may be tough for you guys.  I’m in Michigan and I think we have 4.  Eddie warren 125esx, Todd dehoop 125esx, Stanton 6 time, swink 125esx RIP.  Watched them all ride minis except for Stanton. Don’t remember him winning on minis

CT we got the second SX champ in 75’ with Jimmy Ellis. Doug Henry is the New England GOAT 3 125 mx champs, 125 sx, and the 98 250mx title.

Chad Johnson 2 or 3 National AX titles Rhinelander , Wisconsin .It’s near Eagle River Wi. Close to the UP of Mi.  Crandon also , MC , RJ, Deegan,s know where that is. The big off rd truck  race.  MC actually bought a clean 90 kx125 there.

I’m pretty sure that Washington only has some kid named Ryan Villopoto as an official champion, but in my mind Jim Pomeroy belongs on almost any talk about champions just because he’s the first American to win a GP race. That was a monumental achievement at the time and it helped accelerate the growth of the sport in the US greatly, I believe.

It was pretty cool in the early 90's with Stanton and Swink both being from Michigan and both SX champions.
