I have a few things I want to do next year/2024.
1) Most important, get this weight I’ve gained this year off and get back in shape. Get off the beer and BBQ. Eat right and quit looking for an excuse to party, drink and hang out in the pool.
2) Be smarter and not hurt myself, non riding included. No tree planting or car wrecks
3) Even though I’m old and don’t race anymore. Want to improve my form, do the right things and ride safer. May even take some lessons.
4) Take advantage of being retired, travel and ride different tracks
5) Do other ridding than just go to tracks. Ride some trails, fast single track etc. I’d like to ride somewhere that has fast single track. I’d like for my Beta 300 RX see 6th gear. I doubt I’ve had it out of 4th lol.
6) Get the stink bug out of my 2023 Honda and get the handling sorted
What ya got.
Have fun riding my dirt bike… Riding or racing, as long as it’s fun. My son is getting a 65 for Christmas, and he’s gonna want to ride a bunch…so get him out and comfortable with the gears and the clutch…that’s about it for me.
Ride my mountain bike more to get into shape and possibly hit some hare scrambles or enduros. I haven't raced since 2017!
No riding for me 2024. I spent nine months working out, eating right and, getting in shape this year then, bounced off a tree in September.
I plan on taking my recovery/PT seriously. Then, continuing what I started earlier this year, getting back in shape and, hitting the Poker run series around the PNW in 2025. It’s a ways out but, I need the time unfortunately.
More time in the gym to get my moneys worth every time I load up to drive 1.5 hours to ride the track.
spend less money on my bike somehow

Seriously, I can't figure it out.
“Get back in shape” never understood why people say bs like this - with a goal that ambiguous and no plan I’m sure you’re destined for success.
Number 6 is easy to solve. Just get a different bike (different color)
Flying to the states from New Zealand, catching the last supercross and first round of outdoors, plus riding 7 california tracks with MX Dreams. Can't wait......
Ride the crap out of my 125
go more often
find people to ride with
Sounds like good resolution’s 👍 likely similar to many of us. I”m still very motivated to train and ride/race, if anything, sometimes I over train and need to listen to my body better. I need to work on eating better …. Less sweets and drinking less beer. Somewhere along the journey I have associated a good ride with rewarding myself with a few beers😂…do more GNCC/ woods riding on my newly converted 300SX. Appreciate the people I ride with, old & new and still being able to do this awesome sport at age 56.
I plan on starting my own LLC and servicing local rider’s bikes. I’ve done bike work on the side for a couple years here and there, but I’m so damn tired of having a boss to report to at a job I don’t love. Plan on doing everything from chassis maintenance, motor rebuilds/service, fork/shock rebuilds, and maybe dipping into a cerakote setup after a little bit to generate some extra cash flow.
This aligns with one of my goals… have someone else work on my bikes..😂
I’ve laid out a lifting plan and a cardio plan and will be working that strictly. I’ve backed off the overtime at work, to give myself the time and energy to dedicate to it.
it’s about 4 months until the series I race starts back up, so that’s a solid chunk of time to really make so progress.
To put as many hours as I can on my bikes Jan 2nd will be 7 months from my acl reconstruction and meniscus surgery. Knee is finally starting to feel normal again. Goal is to be back on the bike come March. Haven't ridden dirt since early April last year.
It was killing me because we had a killer spring n summer and one of my favorite tracks. That had been shutdown for 8 years reopened this year. Should be a fun year.
right now is to fully heal my Left Scaphoid that I broke pretty good in September! I am still in a cast as it’s taking its sweet time to heal following surgery just like my right one did 23 years ago.
Ride more and stop being a puss. The second one tends to go away when I do the first one. More riding classes. Worked with Masterpool a bit this year, planning on doing that mor often. Mostly keep having fun and do some Vet class racing. Get another 125.
I'm gonna buy a Stark and ride it across the country in one week....coast to coast.
Better get that bike hook up trailer built for the generator then!
Pit Row
Like most guys with families and busy jobs, ride more. Say it every year, never seems to change! So any riding is good, appreciate it and feel lucky to be in a position to be able to do it.
Was able to ride almost once a week and raced 5x this year- I’ll be happy if I can match that plus more. Had lost 25 lbs this year- amazing how much better my back and knees feel. Also how much longer I could ride before getting tired..
Sorry, most are non-moto...
1. Scaling down. Sold my house and moving mid-January into a newer/smaller/cheaper place
2. Get my garage epoxied and set up my tinkering/working area
3. Get rid of my car and find a cheap crew cab truck
4. Get back to a minimum of an exercising routine, nowhere close to the "new year, new me" BS...
5. Buy an apartment in downtown Aix en Provence
6. Find a 2000/2001 CR250 to restore...
7. Go on an exotic vacation in the spring
8. Book my France summer trip
9. Keep improving my cooking skills
10. Catch all SX races live on Peacock...
11. Ride my build a couple times a month on local vet tracks. I'm so scared to get hurt, it's why I wanna ride an old bike on safe tracks...
12. Catch some NBA/MLB games & concerts
13. Hit Palm Springs for staycations before/after the triple digits temperatures
14. Spending less time at the "tables"
15. Last but not least, have more quality family time...
Most of these are non moto
1. Learn to ride a dirt bike(I met the factory kawi 450 engine guy through a friend on a thanksgiving trip last year so maybe if i camp with him again I can ask if I can ride a pitbike or something.)
2. Prioritize school assignments(im in community college) over gaming
3. Focus on eating right, not just here and there, learn to consume veggies with every meal whether its in shake form or something else.
4. Get a job even if its seasonal so i can start earning money and saving it.
5. Get a gym membership, I want to earn some money first though, don't have a lot right now.
6. Watch every race on peacock with family around, my dad and moms boyfriend love the sport, mom not so much.
7. Get a new helmet, either save up or convince my dad to get me one, he doesn't want to spend the money for one because i barely use it.
8. Get a moto jersey, pants, boots, chest protector in the future.
Just have fun when racing and straight up ride more. No, not pound out endless boring practice laps... I want to play around more every time I'm out and enjoy the moment.
See, I got on a 450 in 2022, got a little more "serious", then ended up with an ACL reconstruction. Even when battling and winning races there was never a single moment where I thought "Wow this is so much more fun than my YZ250". So yeah, now that I'm back on a 2 stroke again and having fun, I'm going to carry it into next year and scale back the seriousness with racing.
More desert trips, more one-off events, more friends/riding buddies hanging out.
I know one way you could watch all the races live... if they made you an announcer. It sure would liven things up a few notches. Now that would be awesome.
You've come a long way Jesse, nice to see your growth and maturity. I bet you'll be wildly successful.
Couldn’t say it better.
Ride once a week.
Thought that was doable for 2023 but life makes it hard. About 25-30 hours of seat time I think this past year. Would like to log 50+
You guys with over 2 resolutions… well wishes and good luck! LMAO from my corner…
My only moto-related goals are to ride my 2024 bikes more than I did this year and to shoot a minimum of 7 Pro Nationals.
Cool get your Llc b4 buying any big dollar stuff for the shop. Register your ein # at the store & your tax free. I use Zen buisness to start my LLc, 199.00 . It’s easy I did it on my phone. Setup a buisness account at a chase bank, easy stuff. Wait till your LLc goes through tho b4 opening the account. It only takes 1-3 days. Funny I was fighting to keep my s corp buisness name aaglobal 532 inc. zen said that names taken & you can’t hv inc unless your incorporated . I said the name is taken by me, I,m not sueing myself. I changed it to global 532 LLc . Global is an inside joke easterner European,s in Chicago use global for buisness names. I think it’s a strong buisness name also. 532 is my bike # 531 pm is dob. Just giving ya ideas. It’s fun process & it’s Great paying very little in taxes.
