Heaven help me, I agree with Magoofan, in that I, too, think this place does an adequate job of policing itself, and I, too, think a troll isn't someone you disagree with. Even when I read posts I think are completely absurd (like, for example, every horse's-ass thing Magoofan posts about the wonders of the incredible, game-changing, sport-saving Stark Varg), I keep my trigger finger on the safety until I consider whether or not the person involved has the communication skills necessary to make their point concisely. If they don't, I just move on, as otherwise, I'm taking aim at too easy a target. I've seen many others do the same here, they consider the source before they fire back. The anonymous downvote button is the perfect weapon for people who, for whatever reason, want to fire back from the safety of a bunker - and I respect that.
Oh, and one more thing: Yes, Magoofan, Rush is the bomb and Guns n' Roses and Nirvana do both suck - so yet again, our minds are in agreement.

Downvotes never bother me, upvotes aren’t making my day either. I like the voting system for the little bit of feedback, but it’s not a big deal either way. I do think losing anonymously voting would be better, but it’s just not worth much more of my day than it took to type this out..

The bears were fun, you couldn’t hide from people, had to own it, it was a competition to out bear one another and became a badge of honor if someone beared your comment.
