For the people that don't know who he is: Islam Makhachev, one of the best Lightweights in the UFC ever and current champion, also fighting this weekend on probably the best card this year.

Great find! Didn't even know he was riding

Awesome! Not the best card by any means...Just two best title fights. I can't believe this savage rides. Volk is going to piece him up Saturday though!

I don't know man, Gypsy could twist him up on the ground and then smoke him on the track on a 350.

Good find though, genuine badass 👍 Lots of tough bastards over that way, something in the water... Probably soviet nuclear waste and generations of guerilla warfare

That's cool to see!  Volkanowski by KO.   He has to win by KO since he didn't have a full training camp.

Pretty sure its Chad Reed. Dude rode when he was hurt a lot, and never complained about it. Do we have to bring up the Millville Chad-a-pult again?

Don’t know about the UFC guys being tough. Most of them seem to get slapped about by a couple if Youtube influencers when it comes to throwing punches. It’s all that time spent cuddling each other on the ground that must do it during UFC fights.

People obviously don't remember,  or know who  Joel Smets was, and still is.

Yeah, everyone could "cuddle" on the ground like them, right? Some pussy shit!

Seriously. That's the dumbest take I've seen so far on the internet. It's obvious you never spend a single second researching or doing any kind of martial arts yourself.

Really nice to see these cuddles!

Yeah my stepson is into all this "crossover" boxing now . I've watched a couple of the pay per views with him , he pays , and I don't get it . I was a big boxing fan in the 80s into the early 90s and this doesn't resemble that . I've lost touch with it . I went ahead and googled professional boxing and on the espn site all this shit is at the top . Is this what pro boxing has become ?

Well, the answer is easy. We sadly live in a world where it's all about social media followers.

Now when it comes to this new trendy "crossover" boxing, those youtubers and influencers get paid based on their followers and promotion. They get a base purse for their fight, let's say 250k. On top of that they get 5-10% of the pay per view money from Dazn for example. They don't even have to fight good. Create a lot of fake drama with your opponent on social media, let it build up a couple months prior to that fight and then those guys can make millions. I'm talking 7-8 figures.

There is no real loser in these fights. People that pay for this kind of circus are the real losers.

Obviously UFC is also about promotion. The big difference, these are the best fighters in the world, trained killers. They have to work and fight their way up and their contract money increases with population and with the amount of fights they win.
