MXoN - Sunday Finals

10/8/2023 10:51am

Anderson...It would be nice if Kawasaki USA would support an out of America MXdN. How many did Tomac miss because of this? When was the last time Kawi supported this race outside the US?

It would have been nice if Star Yamaha would have supported this race by sending Deegan but according to Mathess they only wanted to send Deegs if the others chosen "were our best riders"

It would have been nice if Sexton would have accepted Hondas offer to ride their bike for MXdN...or did KTM nix that because his contract started with them on Oct 1?

Oh, and I almost forgot...congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Justin Cooper...

Congratulations to Team France winning on home soil. Kudos to Jett and Kroc for showing the world the AMA riders are top notch.

Hard cope levels there to use an Australian and a German to show the strength of the US Nationals 🙃

Also goes against the idea that riders in the US series aren’t used to these track conditions, which has been thrown around a bit today, as Jett and KR seemed to ride them just fine today.

Wild when you think about it.

Makes you wonder where Kenny would be with a better bike or if the factory / GP works bike advantages are almost gone.

They spend the whole year setting up this bike to his liking with whatever he wants, something that wouldn't be possible on any other factory team (except for Star maybe). Another brand wouldn't help him beating Jett. To be honest, this is the best we have seen Kenny ride since his injuries

Is it that much of a “wow”? When was the last time Pless won a race or Craig?

Yes, but Ferris did what we were hoping for, one good result.

As we all knew, the race was really for second. France had this won when they emailed their entries.

Everyone needs to ignore all the negative bs circulating. It was an awesome race weekend, with no big  injuries and great racing. USA riders showed up and all in all the mxon is still the best international battle on two wheels.

(I’m sure there’s some UT fans who will be up late wallowing in grief over their 30-34 loss to OU but it was still a he-l of a game)

It is funny that Kenny had to kickstart it in a hurry.

No disrespect, but many of the riders in front of our guys have no business being there meaning we simply didn't show up.  The team arrived Wednesday or Thursday, no riding over there, had a great lottery draw, and just didn't get it done for whatever reason.  I very much appreciate they stepped up and went, but it doesn't change the fact they missed the opportunity.

Agreed.  When Ferris held on for 12th in moto 2 I was pretty confident we would have 2nd locked up.

1. hasn’t raced one outdoor national this year

2. Basically just got back to doing full motos

3. any other American in the top 10 of the USA would have been a better choice.

So probs and tumbs up for Craig to show up and give it a go.

I give Craig credit for going but he didn’t have a single decent result: there were lots of Americans that were well below his top speed that would have gotten a result.

APs last moto was the only gross underperformance of the weekend for any of the Americans IMO. RJ, rode great from behind all weekend and crashed as expected.  Craig faded like is to be expected all weekend. AP, had two good motos and one really bad one where he faded 6 positions, never had any speed, and finished just two spots in front of Craig!

Quick question Mr Moss

Team Australia will have Hunta and Jett on 450s next year.
Who's Australias next 250 talent that can help this team win MXoN?

That’s the big question.  No one proven yet so it will be a problem for the next couple of years.

His name escapes me but I think there’s a junior coming up the ranks in the US at the moment!

Individual class results. Jett raced MXGP not the Open class.

Ill say this.  Does anyone else feel depressed knowing that the weekend of racing is over and the season? It’s like leaving a national and having withdrawal and rev limiters ringing in your ear (or in this case airhorns).Trying to find the same satisfaction or entertainment with football or what ever the fuck else is on.  And I am a eagles fan and it’s still not working

Props to Kenny for an awesome season/weekend aboard the ZOOK!! I’ve been so impressed with his results all year, especially with the uncertainty of where he was going to be riding coming into the season.
I can’t wait for next year!! After having a full season aboard the RMZ, with having his suspension dialed, I think we’re in store for at least another win or two!! ( hopefully anyway 👍 )

Congrats on an awesome season Ken!! Glad we still have a couple more races to see you in this year!
