They had RC announcing when he was the part-owner of RCH, and he actually roasted his own team (Tickle) harder than any other rider.

Yeah, I guess I was thinking that it was a big enough conflict before that they wouldn’t want it again. I’m obviously giving them too much credit!  

On the Savatgy thing, it still seems like he’s an up and coming rider to me but it’s bizarre to read that he first rode for Hewitt about 10 years ago!  He’s survived incredibly long at the ‘fringe’ of being a top tier guy.

That's naive. Somehow he's influential enough to keep an announcer job he's woefully unqualified for, I imagine the guy that's trained riders and run a team might carry a little weight in hiring decisions.

Wasn't it Savatgy he was criticizing at the time? If he goes any slower through the corner he's gonna fall over.

What is the conflict? He’s doing the color analysis of what the riders on the track are doing. He isn’t making rules or divvying up the prize money.
