Sorry, been out of town racing the last few days. I honestly have no idea what time he placed his order and I don’t remember when I placed mine, we’re talking almost two years ago now and I can’t even remember what I ate for dinner two nights ago half the time
I will say this though, I still have 100% confidence all of us regular peasants will get our bikes, it’s just a question of when. I’m not thrilled about dealers getting demo bikes before customers get theirs, but Stark pretty much had a choice to either piss off dealers or piss off regular customers and they chose the latter. We can debate the rational behind that decision all day long but that’s the choice they made. Bottom line is people are going to have to exercise patience, if you believe in the bike and the company you’re just going to have to wait, just like I’m doing now for mine. My delivery date was also pushed back to December. I’m not happy about it, and quite honestly I’m pretty freaking frustrated, but I know how good the bike is and I’m choosing to wait, that’s really all there is to it at the end of the day.
+1. I absolutely understand and respect the focus on Moto time, sand track limitations, etc.. Those are real concerns and regardless of customer ability it will impact it's reception by the masses until it's doing 30+2 at Lommel with an elite rider on it.
But I just want to rip some single track for part of the day in between ruffles and bbq. And want to know what my limitations around that will be.
anyway, like everyone else i got that email that said it's being built and a vin exists. I did not get the vin.
FINALLY some official production update by Stark.
They have produced 141 Vargs last week (5 days).
That means production IS ramping up.
At this rate that would be over 7 000 bikes a year, which is already quite impressive, and they're probably not done ramping up yet. For comparison that would be Alta total 3 years production equaled in less than 2 months.
Let's see if they also up their game in the "sales representatives actually answers email from customers" department, if they can deliver long overdue fully paid orders real quick and if that's the end of the global delivery dates sliding back months at a time. This will be the real test.
Great news indeed, and time will tell if it pans out.
If the graphic company is not shipping a very high volume of orders out, that is likely their cost or not far from it. For me to ship graphics locally ( a 40 minute round trip if I drove them myself) its $30 or so. Just going a few states over. Shipping a full set of plastic with graphics, I've spent over $100. It cost me $238 to ship a set of graphics and 2 banners to Loretta Lynn's this year. Stark has either gotten a big discount for having a lot of expected shipments, or they are subsidizing the shipping costs. Taking money from their profit to cover shipping costs.
I was talking to a rep the other day ,after having spent over $100 to ship an orderout. And asked what they pay to ship a set of plastic to me. $15 average was what they said. My deal with them is I get free shipping over X amount. But they are still paying to ship the items to me. Shipping costs have gone up an insane amount in the last few years. Stuff that was $8.00 to $12 3 years ago is $24-$30 now. If I had to guess the real cost for shipping a Varg, I would say $250-$350 .

That's great....
So MXA should have one soon to test....
that is great news for you guys.
Seems like a propaganda video in response to the backlash to me. PIF customers your bike is behind me, lol. We produced 141 but how long will it take to get them out the door? According to deliver dates months . Carpetbagger…
Do you have a link to the announcement?
It's the Instagram video by Olle Olson (Stark CCO) embedded in the post, can you see it?
For sure Stark felt that their customers were getting nervous/angry/disappointed by the lack of communication, the delays in delivery and the demo bikes sent to dealers before preorders.
They chose to address this with a video from the assembly line and provide actual production numbers which is awesome, you will never get this kind of information by the big OEMs.
Their production ramp up is very impressive and such high numbers should hopefully solve the issues of the past couple of months. It seems that the last hurdle will be the delivery for current fully paid orders.
No doubt we'll see how that works out.
You can clearly see on that video there are only five bikes digitally multiplied by IA.
Magoofan, if relevance were gasoline, both you and MXA are running on fumes, with no gas station in sight.
I can't tell with my eyesight 😊
But it is a bit like the last Triumph video, in that you never get a clear look, only a quick glance.
Has anyone who has received their bike expressed any regret about purchasing it or that they wished they would have cancelled their order? I haven’t seen any of that sentiment anywhere.
Just noticed I should have used AI too, since I wrote IA in french instead of AI in english.
Instagram videos don't play on my browser, but the YouTube video does play...
Vital: "we demand to know exactly how many bikes Stark are making every week! We have the right to know!"*
Stark : "OK, heres an update".
Vital: "Propaganda. Made up video. It can't possibly be true, because it doesn't support my prejudices".
*(yeah, like KTM or Honda or Yamaha will tell you that..)
did you order one?
Hmmm, don' think I demanded anything. Certainly not a video from some Qball shyster spinning a bunch of facts. For a CEo his math is bad. Claiming a bike was produced before it's in the crate is bad form. It's the same as saying they made a million in one week and it will take 8 years to get them out the door, BS.
While I am at it I will point out another issue that I have been thinking about. No successful business that I know of builds out production to meet one time demand. It's a flawed model.
Pit Row
Any chance you can humor me and explain your use of the term "carpetbagger"? lol
The timing of this in this month’s MXA is perfect 😂. Credit MXA for being brutally honest (and fair):
Anything for you Bro. Oh coarse you could have just googled it like I did but I guess it's better to try and come in here and take a crap on me. Seems you may even have a little in you.
"a person perceived as an unscrupulous opportunist."

Except that they're lying through their teeth about what actually happened regarding the test in Spain and about why they chose not to go, there's an entire thread that sets the record straight. You guys who regard MXA as the gospel definitely provide evidence to the notion that if you say things with enough conviction you will always be able to deceive at least a sizable portion of the population, regardless of the validity of what is being said.
Don't shoot the messenger dude, I don't believe shit unless I see it with my own eyes anymore - I am not one of the brainwashed. I just posted that because the timing and humor following Magoofan's comment.
Cheers
Please spare a thought for the trolls, they have been going through hard times lately.
I mean, the Varg picked up 4 podiums this weekend in Arenacross UK with Thomas Do, now Stark is shipping 500 bikes per month, tough times indeed.
Soon the only claim they will have left will be "but they cannot complete 30 min+2 laps in AMA". That should keep them going for at least a couple of years, so everyone is happy I guess?
We've had a couple years of practice.
Yes, everybody is full of it but Stark.
What can I say I'm amused when people apply historical terms they clearly don't understand. Bonus amusement watching them try to explain it. lol
This thread is a turd, just having a little fun.
You mean "set the record straight" by the fact the bikes had issues and Fark had to reschedule MXA and ML. Mosiman couldn't make the rescheduled time. ...and :MXA most likely decided after hearing the test ride was a heavily controlled 4 laps on a golf course "track" that it wasn't worth sending someone.
There is a reason MXA has been around 50 years bro...
People agree (nearly 10 to 1) with what MXA stated about testing the bike in the real world....that is the bottom line.

Funny how they DELETED the "This Week in MXA" where they mentioned the REAL reason they could not attend the Stark launch. I've lost quite a bit of respect for MXA on this one.
How about this one though - will they delete this one? Quote at 13:43: "I'm excited to go ride that Stark Varg here in a couple weeks in May"

I fully understand the historical implications and have since the 70's when I was taught it in grammar school but we are talking about current history and apparently google AI agrees with me.
Must be nice to be so smug about being wrong as the day is long.
