Yeah, neither can I comprehend why we keep seeing vids on YouTube by Stark owners with YouTube channels and not seeing vids by Stark owners who do not post videos.

You don’t see any videos of my bike because I don’t post any, or indeed make any 🤪🤣 Does that count ?

Does that count ?

When did you place the order?

Pressed buy the moment it was launched, didn’t even hesitate to think about it. And I don’t regret it at all, the bike is awesome 😁

Seems to sum up the view of everyone so far. In fact I  have not seen or heard anything negative about the bike from any single owner, no-one wishing they hadn't bought it.

That is extremely impressive for a disruptive product from  a new business.

Curiosity got the best of me. For Tesla to assemble a car is around 2 1/2 hours. Harley is cranking out a bike in 1 hour 40 minutes. This is mostly after several sub-assembly modules. Engine , Forks, wheels, etc....

You think after waiting over a year and spending 14K they are going to bash the bike out of the gate? Not a chance because they wouldn't want to look like a fool. The big 4 have been building bikes with ICE's for decades. None where universally hailed like this bike is being.

I love to give you a ration of shit when I can but you are spot on with your first sentence.

I don't know if the Stark is awesome or not....but VERY FEW people have it in them to admit something they just paid a pile of money for sucks.

Stark just sent me a picture of my VIN and a picture of the bike ready to ship they claimed.  She claims it is going to ship right away.  I won't hold my breath but sounds like they are trying to figure out how to get the bikes out to the people who paid.

Or they could be just being honest. You know like we as humans are supposed to be…ever think about that?

Which would be really nice if that were the case. Only problem is we usually don't hear the bad from owners of certain things until after they have already sold or got rid of x item.

Very well could be, hard telling not knowing.

I was just agreeing that most of us have a built in bias for things we have heavily invested into, you know....cause we're human.

With most of the videos and impressions being positive, I would think that a video that points out some legit shortcomings of the bike would do well as far as people getting views . It surprises me that some Youtuber has not gone out and found some bad things to highlight in a video yet. If they wanted to seperate themselves from all the other content coming out, a video with some legit shortcomings would do it.

No matter how good something is, Its not going to be perfect for everything. Right now the people that have their own Vargs are the earlier buyers, people who most likely had some knowledge of electric or expectations of its limitations . And its exceeding them. If the bike is as good as many have said, its going to take somebody riding it outside of the conditions most people who felt like they had a use for an EMX bike  will ride them in.

Happy for you, just a shame they only took action after you asked for your money back. Hopefully they are learning from this.

That video exists. Its not like the bike is bad, but its a few details. The brake lever adjust hits the throttle housing so you are not able to get the brake in the most desirable location

Only a few bend of bars will work with starks triple clamp design.

Nothing locks the side stand up

Side stand is too short and the bike just falls over if the ground isnt perfectly flat

There were a few others

These dudes are pretty cool. I know Garrett posts on here sometimes.  Heres their video.

Edited: $1600 inverter failed on a brand new demo bike.

First video had run times and it wasn't very impressive. Not long enough to do a pro moto.

Are deliveries when they happen to a dealer or direct to your door.  I looked at the site and shows prices for whatever options you select, color etc.  what are the fees, shipping and other fees, OTD price.

Also, 60 hp and 80 hp options.  60 is more than most would need.

If you order now though Stark's website they are quoting 12 months before delivery, that's down from 18 months, production pace maybe increasing.

As impressive as they appear I’m not sure I could bring myself to throw money at a start up project like this.  I’ll wait around until one of the majors bring an e-bike to market.  Chances are stark will be a success but I’d hate to throw money and it turn out to be a solar panel company with wheels.  Some of the solar panel companies and other green companies had piles of Obama bucks thrown at them and still failed.

You will need to wait 5-7 years before the majors release a comparable bike, you might be better waiting 2-3 years for Stark to prove themselves and sort out any issues with the Varg.

I doubt new orders are down to 12 months. I’m already at 21 months and they just shifted my delivery date to December.

Just read the last few days of this forum. Sure enough my delivery date also got changed from Sept 30 to Dec 15. Not surprised but glad they haven't asked me for full payment yet. I would also like them to be a little more transparent however if they can get back on track with deliveries they will only have irritated a small amount of people. My guess is they are trying to save face. If they publicly admitted delays it word would get out to the masses. Hope the guys that paid will get there bikes as promised and soon. Thanks for the continued updates!

Stark's communication has been poor about production delays, VIN numbers will give some idea how many Vargs have been manufactured.

Current reported VIN numbers are all below 800, Stark is claiming 18,000 pre-orders, 17,200 more bikes need to be manufactured to meet current demand!

Current estimate under one year for new orders means they are confident they can ship all existing pre-orders in less than a year.

(Waiting for the Global Turtleneck Conspiracy crowd to explain how it's bad news, got my bingo card ready)

Right now they're easily on path to overcoming total Alta production (less than 1000 bikes in about 3 years) in less than a year.

IF Stark succeeds in delivering 10 000 bikes a year that would be insane, a production rate much faster than any current 450 MX. And ramping up production like never seen before for a new motorcycle brand.

Obviously it's not set in stone, and they're clearly lacking in communication, I mean if they gifted you the bike in case they don't respect the initial estimated date I'll probably order a couple of them right now.

One way to check production rate is to track VIN numbers for verified deliveries. By the way, VIN numbers for US/Australia bikes are probably lagging behind VIN numbers for Europe bikes.

Maybe me and Goldmember aren't so dumb after all.

My condolences to the guys who sent 14K to a guy in a turtle neck on a Gypsy Tales podcast.
