Customer #1's bike was #21.
The initial wait is one thing and that is what it is really, but getting in touch to tell people their bike is practically ready and they need to pay for it and then not delivering or even keeping the customer up to date after they promptly pay in full as instructed is fundamentally fucked.
Add to that the private, normal, 'average guy' buyers who ordered and paid up earlier than anyone else not getting their bikes while influencers or 'dealers' (who weren't even dealers a year or two before the individuals ordered their bikes for direct delivery) or just other people are getting theirs... Again that is fucked up and underhanded and just out of order.
The whole thing doesn't sit well regardless of any of the excuses, cool bike and greet potential due to the lack of noise, but they need to get their shit together.
Also, Bryan is a smart dude and rips a dirt scooter but I'm now aboard the "he's a shill" train, not offensively, nothing against the man, but be honest about it. They gave him wayyy preferential treatment, of course he is gonna be sweet on the topic, if they treated him like Tahoe I'm sure it'd be a different story.
Not delivering to customers based on order date, but giving preferential delivery to influencers, dealers, and people close to the company, is hypocitical, when they also complain about federations (AMA, FIM) protecting ICE manufacturers!
If you demand to compete on a level playing field, you should also deliver bikes on a level playing field.
Although most VIN are done sequentially, I am not sure there are rules to say they have to be ?
I think the main obvious rule is each VIN is unique to one bike.
A lot of new model Japanese VIN start at 101 , maybe you can start at 00001 , build a handful of bikes, then jump to 00701 ?
For whatever reason, who knows.

Customer #1's VIN number...
UDUMX1AE6NA0000021
First 3 letters "UDU", are manufacturer identification.
Next 6 "MX1AE6", are vehicle model identification.
Next "N", is model year, 2022 for this bike.
Next 2 "A0", are factory code.
Last 6 "000021", are sequential number, which doesn't need to be in sequential order, but usually is.
When Stark start shipping their 2023 model, they can restart the sequential number.
I said the exact same thing RE: Brian when he first started posting about his trip here and people ripped me to shreds over it. There's nothing inherently wrong about getting preferential treatment, but the least you could do is be transparent/own it. Of course someone who is getting preferential treatment is going to play nice and not say anything critical.
How many customers have paid in full and not got the bike shipped?
How many in this thread?
He has disappeared now the shill job is done.
Give it 3 months , he will be back with a new Triumph !
I haven't went back and read every post, but I think 2 people.
This thread has over 10k views, I'd think if it was a big list of people who had paid in full and not received their bike that more of them woulda popped up in here.
So funny that so many "dirt bike lovers" are cheering for a dirt bike company to fail, ya'll must not like riding as much as you act like you do.
Man, its pretty weird to see my bike's VIN plastered on a forum, but Stark did post a video of it so i guess it's fair game
.
Interestingly, my CO lists year as 2023, and others who have received their bikes recently lists year as 2024.
Bryan aside, as far as youtube influencers ive seen go, the electric cycle rider guy seems to have gotten his hands on a bike with help from Eric Perronard and the surronster guy borrowed the ride of some random guy for a ride to video.
I would bet that electric cycle rider guy had his pre-order in asap because electric motorcycles are his thing, just like Bryan.
And the second guy that I remember posting said he paid in full hoping it would speed things up. I could have missed another person . But if its that guy, he hadn't gotten the notification from Stark to pay yet. Or that is what it sounded like from how he wrote his post.
And like I keep saying , 1 person is 1 person too many. But everybody makes mistakes.
Who knows what the issue is with his order. I think that if it was a very common thing , more people would have posted. This thread has popped up in multiple search results on Google , when I have searched for Stark and financial terms. So I think that it would be easy for people to find if they were looking around to see if others had issues.
What business doesn't love free capital?
Keep paying for those starks fellas, I'm sure you'll continue to see them on social networking and not in your garage.
“Pays in full hoping to speed up his position in order”.
Thats what I thought I read at onetime.
Bitches about not getting bike yet. Trolls take the raw meat and run with it.
Welcome to the new World Order. 🤡
That's total BS! I never paid in full hoping to get my bike sooner. Buyers can only pay for the bike when Stark says you can pay because your bike is ready. I was asked by Start to pay for the bike in full as they said my bike was ready. I have done everything they requested correctly and on time.
Here is a copy of the text of the email they sent me requesting a confirmation and then payment after.
We're very happy to inform you that your VARG will be going into production soon. Therefore, we kindly ask you to answer us on this email to confirm your purchase and order, and by this also confirm your user details that will be needed to start up your VARG.
After your confirmation, you will receive an email to proceed with the checkout, and including the payment instructions. It is important to note that once you reach this stage, no further changes to your VARG can be made as the bike will get released to production after we receive payment confirmation.
Don´t forget to review your delivery address and contact details once more so all is accurate.
To modify the specs of your VARG, simply click on the pencil icon located next to the bike on the right side of the screen. This will take you to the VARG configurator.
We hope you are just as excited as we are about receiving your VARG. Please let us know if you have any questions at this point, we will be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,
Stark Future Team
I hope I haven't offended you by post your bike's VIN, it was from your unboxing video!
"N" denotes 2022 as the model year...
Year of manufacture can be later.
Pit Row
To be fair, they did not say your bike was ready, they said "We're very happy to inform you that your VARG will be going into production soon".
Words matter.
Funny how "soon" is both Stark's and WSX's favorite word in all their communication...
This reads like a letter I got from a Nigerian Prince... He has quite a large sum of money for me...
He just needs my bank details and my PIN number.
Seriously though, I have no dog in this fight and I hope Stark makes this all work in the long run.
They also called me the day after I paid to thank me and tell me my bike would be shipping soon. So, yes when they tell me my bike is in production once I paid then I expected that to be the fact. My status says "Ready for Production" as of today still. Same status since June.
Post on their Facebook page, you might get a response!
I would like to add something here about this topic. Not one time have I said negative things about the Stark bike. I certainly am not trying to take down their company as some have mentioned. I only explained what is going on in my situation and my opinion about why they might be shifting bikes to dealers rather than the customers. I have tried multiple times to contact the USA rep and customer service. I have received a basic canned type of responses from customer service but nothing about when I would get my bike. The rep has not responded other than to tell me to contact customer service. If I have any complaints, it is with their lack of communications and or with their shift in deliveries to the dealerships rather than to the customers who first put their trust in Stark. I was a big fan of Alta and certainly want Stark to work out.
Hey Tahoe, that seems painfully hard to get straight answers from Stark for your issue, a couple months is way too long, especially without any kind of follow up.
Did you try to contact them via their social media accounts (twitter, FB, Instagram...)? Sometimes that can work wonders to publicly and directly address companies with a specific issue.
Also if you have a Stark dealer not far, maybe try to inquire through them see if they can get more specifics?
Not shifting the blame here, it's all on Stark, I hope you'll enjoy your bike very soon.
I had a silly crash on July 4th and injured my right hand and have been off the bike since. Hopefully able to ride in another 4-6 weeks.
...and work has been insane.
Sounds like their accounting department is mostly automated and significantly faster than production - which isn’t automated.
I hope stark gets everything sorted, I’ve heard nothing but positive about how they ride. I know of a guy in Arizona that isn’t an influencer and has his through a retail purchase. Sounds like they’re trickling in.
Unfortunately, I believe the days of customer service are done because of automation and AI. Especially with D2C start up companies.
When I mentioned the guy paying in hope his got built sooner, I was not talking about YOU. There was another person who posted somewhere earlier in the thread saying that he had paid in full , but that he had not gotten the notification requesting the payment
You had made it clear that You had gotten the notification to pay.
I think that either people confused you with that guy, or are talking about that guy. I do not remember his name so I'm not sure how involved he has been after that first post I saw. It was a response on the first or second page. Pretty early on.
I have not read every message here in detail so he could be confusing me, but he should have thought about his comment first before posting it. His comments on this board mostly revolve around the Stark bike and he is always backing everything they do there so my guess is he might be connected to the company. His comment sounds stupid enough to come from a company person because clearly people can't just pay in advance and he is trying to put the blame on the customer. The request to pay has to come from Stark.
3 months off the bike must feel loooonnnnggg, get well soon.
