That vibe was at all the 80's GP's , you were just too involved to realise.

As for 30,000, i think Dave and Wobs will be wondering where the money has all gone, i will say 15-20 tops.

Be interesting to know though.

I know what they had last year.

Jesus.

I dont think he fell off either.

It really was back to the 90's though, nobody knew what was going on, unless you saw it with your own eyes, phone and internet was shocking all weekend LOL.

He clipped a bank in the second moto on Saturday, rode with it on Sunday.

My 'feeling' was that it was much busier, but maybe not twice as busy,  So if you said it was 15k last year and 25 this, i could believe that , it didnt feel 30k busy, i have been at Mallory Park with 35,000 there in the 70's and there wasnt a blade of grass to be seen .

looking at my pics from last year , There were more folk on the far bank, and more on the main one in front of where you were, and a lot more over on the top of the hills.

Whatever it was, it will be the biggest crowd of the year in the UK, no doubt.

I never could find anywhere any time schedule or even the order of the motos and who's racing what class -including the official site. Since I couldn't stay the whole week-end in front of the screen waiting to see what's happening next, I gave up altogether. I can't believe something this basic is not provided... It's a pity, what I saw was rather cool... Not very viewer friendly.

Found it last year, it was absolutely unaccurate, but at least, you got a vague idea...

This is England, there is no 'schedule', they just start at some point , and at some point it ends.

The Livestream is nothing to do with the event , as such,  and yes, the amount of info was poor, even for those of us that were there.

I can only echo what others have said previously: incredible event once again by Dave and Rob. 4 days of everything you could want from a proper motocross event!

I missed the podium by 1 point last year so came back determined to get on the box this year. Had a bit of a shitty Saturday with throttle tube issues but turned it around a little yesterday with two 3rd places. A last lap pass to get the one place I needed landed me with a 3rd overall.

As many who know me, know I live for 90s era motocross so it was a really special day for me and my family/friends. I built a full factory 1996 Splitfire KX125 to race this year. It cost hundreds getting new plastics chrome painted and with new graphics, with the intention of taking them off to race with… Glad I was talked into keeping them on - they may be all scuffed and scratched now but the photos and memories for me are well worth it. I completed the look with a custom painted Moto 10 by ImageDesignCustom and two sets (the green and purple) of gear by RideMFG.

I was also invited to be on the judging panel for the Show n Shine event on the Friday which was awesome. A really tough job picking the winners as there were so many incredible bikes there, but a cool gig nonetheless with some awesome prizes donated!

Cannot wait for next year. Not sure how it can be topped but it’s bound to be another epic weekend!

I screwed up. The pic is actually Andrea's bike from Namur 85. The bikes both years were so close.

I've got to get to this event next year . The wife has wanted an across the pond vacation for some time . She may not be happy in centers around motocross but oh well  lol .

If you pick your weeks right, you might get to Foxhill and Farliegh Castle, they are 2 weeks apart.

VItal MX needs to send a staff member over to cover this.

All the builders were there with their bikes on the Friday show n shine, so much detail and trick parts galore.

ML could make the biggest and best Pit Bits in Vital history!

On this week's Pulp show he said that Lewis was in the UK but I guess he was busy with other things.

A pit bits feature would be excellent but it would take some work with how many bikes there are and the details of them. But would be cool to see.

Does it need both of them there?

I would imagine that after being in the USA and then mainland Europe, he wanted to catch up with family and catch a break.

Not sure I follow? Steve wouldn't write a pit bits feature for Vital, and there was a guy from Vital in the UK at the time.

Steve and Keefer were invited by the organisers to be at and cover and promote the event,  having Vital rock up as well makes no sense.

FWIW i have seen more stuff posted on this event by Vital members, than we get to see from an AMA race , save for the ones Rupert X gets to.

One thing about this event that makes it, is that there is no VIP anything. Everyone is out in the open, happy to chat, and mingle with the fans, and generally the riders are allowed to just enjoy a beer without getting mobbed in the evenings.

If there was that much in covering stuff like this, why dont they cover Mammoth and MX Rewind ?

Hopefully they will sort out the issues from this year and it will grow and be better again.

Listening to pulpshow and damn Brownie comes off as a total dooshbag. If it was like it sounded no way I’d invite back if it was me. Damn hope I’m wrong in the way I interpreted it
