Does Johnny still ride? I remember him out at Indian Dunes when we were both youngsters, and was always amazed at how fast he was. I don't recall him having any major injuries, so curious if he still spins laps.

Bunch of picky, grumpy, complaining, arm chair quarterback's on this board....every day something new:  the announcers, Peacock, coaches, rider emotions, tracks, promoters, the watering, teams, motors, tires, suspension tuners..... enjoy life, moto more, complain less.

I have no idea who Boggins is; but, I’d go riddin’ with him.

Yea, you are a bit off on this one. Oshow is one cool cat, and he meets with them as they get off the track to debrief and talk about whatever they are working on. They trust him. There are others that are a bit more helicopter”ish”…. But Oshow isn’t one.

Maybe an immediate off the track eval to form a recovery plan? Who knows? Whatever the reason, it works.

Johnny is one of (if not THE) most dedicated MX racers EVER (dedicated to “training your ass off)

He’s damn serious about racing for one purpose: WINNING

He trains for one purpose: WINNING

He’s training the boys to do one thing and one thing only: WIN

If someone understands this, they’ll understand with they’re seeing.

That's what I was going to say. He's a trainer, a big part of training is recovery, recovery begins the moment the moto ends.

Also, when I've paid attention it seems like the guy that is pouring water on him and handing him wet towels is the goggle guy? Not that it matters.

Exactly. well said!!!

Both of them have worked hard. Jett and Hunter have both improved mentally, physically ' fitness', nutrition and adopted the riding style and race craft of the  O'Show while under his watch.  All of which has made Johnny one of the best ever in all aspects. Go watch some youtube videos of O'mara. Dude was and still is a stud!!  Him being there after the motos and getting them fluids and electrolytes and calming them down is obviously working pretty well so far. heh

So you noticed the man doing his job as their coach and trainer … man aren’t you observant.

No, I think he’s rode once or twice in 15 years.

Indian Dunes had a lot of fast locals, but him and Donnie were the only ones that truly made it.

when you gonna cut that mullet, you been rockin that for a while now😘

Since were on the topic of Haircuts, if James Stewart wants to be in the broadcasting booth, maybe he should start looking a little professional and get a decent haircut instead of sporting the Mop Head cut.  The Marley was out of style decades ago.  Thats the definition of cringe, trying to take anything he has to say serious looking like that.

Not really, forum members on here are bothered by Johnny O'mara coaching the Lawrence brothers and Ricky Carmichael in the broadcasting booth, so James Stewart sporting an unprofessional haircut is open game as far as I'm concerned.

He had a full knee replacement a few years back, but that shouldn't keep him from riding if he wanted to. He still rides the mountain bike pretty hard.

What does a person's haircut have to do with professionalism?

it's working - unlike all of us - he's been in their shoes and knows what matters and or needs

Yeah maybe he really enjoys what he does. Being a part of the success the Lawrence bros are having is probably pretty damn rewarding to a guy like Johnny. Big feather in your cap too when Jett is undefeated

Au contraire! With the movie One Love on its way, you couldn’t be more wrong.

Besides, I’m quite sure there aren’t many in here that are qualified to give ANYONE “fashion advice”.

This isn’t just a haircut, it’s part of Black culture. It serves as a symbol of cultural pride and identity, representing one's heritage, beliefs, or connection to a specific community. You saying he should cut it off is the equivalent of telling a Jewish man to take off his Kippah or telling a Christian to take off his cross.

He sure does earn his keep! He’s like a helicopter mom with the brothers. He reminds me of a corner/cut man in boxing in between each round, wiping off their faces, opening their water bottles, cooling them down with a nice damp towel. I guess that’s in the job description, but it’s kinda cringe the way he hovers and caters to their every beck and call. He must be making big bucks.
