I think we are in a perfect situation to have a few GREAT MX games to come out in the next few years if Devs jump on the opportunity.
SMX 2023 - I believe Milestone would have to be stupid if they aren't trying to find a way to capitalize on the new SMX series as a way to bring the Lucas Oil pro-MX series & launch SMX as the official video game 2023 next year. It makes perfect sense & with games starting to go to the $69.99 (next-gen/newer PC games), it's a good reason to "justify" a price bump. Things they need to work out is getting 40 riders on a gate for the outdoors. If Milestone wanted to milk it (I hope they don't but wouldn't be surprised) is launching SMX 2023 in phases - SX23 in Feb/March | MX23 game in July/Aug | SMX23 in Sept/Oct. Since MXGP licensing ended, this would be a perfect way to make the next step forward.
WSX 2023 - This is something I don't think has near the draw since it's a shorter series but I'd like the MX vs ATV people to pick this one up since they did the world tour DLC last year (similar to the AX DLC from all out)
MXGP 2023 - not sure if it's coming out this year or not, but I know a new dev picked up the licensing for it - don't have any info on this one yet, but I think it's a good thing, especially if they can get a 40 rider gate.
Thoughts?
Physics of the current MX vs ATV games don’t work good in SX so I’d rather see them produce a MX Nationals game with all the manufacturers, riders, etc. They do need to work on the AI and sounds though, other things that just don’t feel right.
I would be thrilled if they could get the bike sounds on point. Sound should change with aftermarket pipes too. track deformation, so you actually need to change lines. . Have the big dogs of the sport run out front and be hard to beat. I would be mad if I was Tomac etc. and I’m in 18th Pl. like the Supercross games. You should have to run an almost perfect race and a great speed to beat the difficult AI. Just like real life. Mxgp21 is so close to being awesome. I hated it until i played 1st person thru the goggles. Although I have always preferred 3rd person. The speed and feel are great in that mode. Mx vs atv looks so silly imo. A new game should Start amateurs and move up etc. get more technical with the bikes, ECUs motor mod suspension, etc. also more gear selection, being able to change color ways in season. Pros do, why not in the games?? stop with the three or four race contracts. Well theres my wish list 😅. Oh and of course, free control of whips and scrubs.
Another big point just popped in my noggin. Game should be current with patches updates etc. like the stick and ball games. Release the game the weekend of Anaheim 1 all current rosters, teams etc. drives me crazy when its a yr behind.

This. Mx Bikes ruined all other games for me. Sometimes you get those weird bounces and front end tucks, but overall the MX vs ATV games and Milestone SX games don't hold a candle to Mx Bikes.
Mx bikes does look good, Its the pc thing that keeps me away. The top of the line xbox is plenty for an awesome game.
We have both a series x and I have my pc. Honestly I’ll never go back to console. The only thing I will give to console is the ability to transport much easier and not need a desk. Price wise, you can build a decent pc to run almost every game available for the same price as a console.
There will be no Milestone SX game at all next season. They could possibly wait a year or two to release a game you mentioned with SMX, but as of right now, Milestone is out.
I'm not touching another Milestone or Rainbow Studios game until they actual fix the problems that people have been complaining about since day one. I don't care how pretty the graphics are if the game play is shit.
just give me Reflex with updated gear and bikes…
Just bring back Reflex
Updated Reflex 👍
Reflex remastered is all that's needed.. unfortunately.. we will never get them physics again
X3 for MxBikes. Best Mx game ever. New tracks and gear drop daily.
I wouldn't even bother pirating a Milestone or Rainbow game
Only moto racing game I can stand playing Is the MotoGP series. Yeah it's street bikes but man it's addictive. Having to learn the tracks, bike set up ect. Games great. You have to put time into it to get good.
I for one just want fun, and the whole "physics" thing ruins it for me, i stopped playing when they tried to please you dummys. MCM2 on the pc and unleashed (i think on ps2) were so damn fun
My personal favorite Mtx mototrax movement sound online races just perfect.
Pit Row
Mx bikes is all I play if I want to play an mx game.
first person in mx bikes is by far the closest thing to real life
you might be the only person to ever suggest that mototrax has the best movement
So fun, and such a good challenge lol.
trying to stretch the uphill triple at budds creek on a yz250f is a mission!
And yes always first person lol
LoL 😂 ofcourse is pretty much like you ride on a flat track, but when it comes to corner entrance and exit washboard technical movement. wheelie movement to keep traction. I felt that bike movement completely. Not because it’s like real but just to enjoy a fast lap in competition with other fanatics that was really tough.. those games they produce now are like you are controlling a floating hovercraft can’t enjoy it not even with Al competition or with real live competition
My nickname was Vuillemin ofcourse 😎and i
beat the crap out of everyone still one dude called Motörhead was incredibly fast. And I still got Extreme Biker with Edgar torrenteras it’s an old game but its was like motocross madness motoracer 1 yeah I’m from that era and It beats this century crap any day
I bought a ps2 to replay this game hahaha
for no good reason.... its not some impossible secret.
I thought games would look much more realistic by now. They all look like the pivot on a stick.
MX Bikes is the best thing on PC (I personally prefer it to MX Sim) - but there isn't much in the way of single player minus just riding the track. I think if MXB could develop some intelligent AI that could be modded to represent real riders, that would be HUGE for the other devs out there to finally step up their stuff.
My biggest complaint about Bikes is having issues joining servers. Still trying to figure out that issue. With the amount of free tracks available, I have no issue just playing alone and trying to turn faster laps. Riding with others would be a blast though
Yeah, MX Bikes (1st person only) is the way to go. I've been playing for 15 months and it seems as fresh as the first day I played. Can't say that for a console game. The progression curve is so long (but not so steep) that you just keep coming back and getting better over time.
MX Bikes perfected the learning curve. Anyone can pick the game up and learn to play it on an MX track within a couple of hours. But SX in the game is much more difficult than MX which is realistic.
