Nobody will beat him straight up. The best chance for anyone else is a nasty crash or a mechanical DNF. Listening to RC and JS7 commenting on his riding technique, it doesn't matter if everyone was healthy to start the season. This might sound sacrilegious but I think he would be beating Tomac too, he might not be undefeated but I think he would have the points lead.

Has anyone else noticed that RC and JS7 sound like fans of Jett?

Your last sentence is just weird. Why wouldn't 2 of the greatest riders appreciate watching the new generation of greatest riders? Of course they are fans... Of a ton of guys.

Ricky made jokes out of 2 outdoor seasons... JS 1 season. This happens sometimes. Deal with it.

i gotta admit, the way Jett blew by Chase in the first moto, the DF in the second looked damn impressive....

Well that’s just the way it goes. Jett’s dominating. It is what it is.

Jet has amazing technique and ability, almost robot like. The coverage on the privateers is great. These guys racing out of vans are more fun to watch. Thanks Peacock for giving these privateers more air time. other than Jet, Sexton and Ferrandis, the other factory 450 guys are overpaid.

I don't remember the Goat or Bubba jumping out front and dominating every moto from the start. They certainly had races they did but not every one.

Ricky kind of did, that's how he hit perfection.

Daniel Blair looks to be spot on here. Generational talent, they even said it. He is making it look effortless too! Although he looked pooped after the second moto.

I don't think Jett is but other factory guys finishing 20-30 seconds behind? Wasn't AP in 4th and over a minute behind?

Thanks for the life advice but there is nothing to deal with.

When you have a rider dominating the way Jett has been this season, it does make for more boring racing, but I have been thinking we may be looking at the emergence of a new "GOAT". When you watch Sexton and Tomac go around the track, it looks as if it would be difficult to go any faster. They work the bike much more than Jett, while Jett is so smooth and effortless that he doesn't seem like he is going as fast... no wasted motion and no fancy moves. He is not whipping the bike flat over jumps or slamming berms. He even seemed to have less rooster tails from his back wheel accelerating out of the Southwick corners than Sexton.  He is carrying more speed and keeping his speed more constant around the track and using far less energy. He is not only fast, he is also a great starter, a perfect formula for dominance, but on the other hand, boring racing for us.

Sexton has said many times he struggles more in the sand . I think all the next tracks coming up he will have a better chance.

Js7’s perfect season average gap was largest of all time.

Personally I love it. Today was an absolute clinic. If he can stay relatively healthy, stay focused, not let outside distractions get into his inner circle, he can end up as one of the all time greats in 10-12 years. I remember McGrath saying that he hoped James made lots of money and in doing so might take the edge of his competitiveness and drive to beat his record! Can Jett stay hungry for the next decade, stay in the grind, continue to suffer and sacrifice? Time will tell but he has everything in front of him.

I think jett may be an autistic savant moto genius. Seriously.

Like those people that can just play the piano effortlessly with no lessons. What happened in that beginning of the second moto was eye opening. Chase was giving it everything he had to run that pace and was pretty out of control. I think he finally said uncle. Jett was up there just hopping around like he was on a cruise.

I don't think it matters how stacked the field is. I think the results would be the same

You forgot the part where he was winning by over a minute. May have been a factor.

Maybe Jett has more in the tank, doing enough to win and playing the long game.

Nobody has even really had anything for him . I can't help but wonder how great every race would be if Tomac was racing this year.

Why don’t people just enjoy watching greatness? He’s a talent that only comes along once in a great while. Quit yer bitchin’ and enjoy what we are watching.

It’s simple he has perfect body position on the bike and barely squeezes the bars. He said so in a Gypsy interview.  Jett is the current Damon Huffman absolutely perfect on the bike. Actually if Jett tweeked his style a bit more into being a  clone of Huffman . He would never loose a race.   And Jett is on a Honda . If he needs something moved or tweaked 1 or 2 mm to get comfortable. Honda is on it. I was shocked that Honda really didn’t promote his 2 250 championships. I thought he would b a top 2 rider consistently.

Yeah I get it but don't forget Tomac BLEW by Roczen at Southwick when he was extremely dominant that year. I would bet, and I'm not a betting man, that Tomac would have bested Jett at least once today.

How much do you think suspention comes into play. When Jett rides it seems effortless,  no sudden movements just flow. When Sexton rides and most other riders its all over the place.

I have to admit when I watch I'm more interested in how the riders suspention is reacting to to the track then the race its self.

7/8/2023 8:53pm

This aint no joke. I'm pretty good with what I'm watching...also 90 entrants in the 450 class which is a tad better than last weekend's MXGP which only had 19 dudes on the line.

I never heard anyone bitching when Carmichael and Stewart were raping the field for their perect seasons.

The Aussies are loving it and Jett's a good dude.

Chase is heavy and he puts a lot of force into the front of his bike hence the past knifing and losing the front end, Jett leans back lets the front float around a lot more which allows him to evenly distribute weight/force across the bike giving a more stable ride.
