Yep we know, he’s good, still missing the point though.

How do you get exposed by one of the most talented riders to ever swing a leg over a dirt bike? Kenny not only is one of the best as far as talent, but I can't think of a single better sprinter than him. One of the big knocks against Kenny is he can be caught from behind, but his opening laps are and have always been next level. He's the type that could do a Dungey retirement and come out and lead laps right away.

Guys are like, “he went 1-1, that’s some next level shit” uhh no it’s not. You can’t tell me that Roczen coming in doing as well as he did and the circumstances of the series, if you’re being objective, didn’t make you think that maybe Jett’s not as next level as I thought? That’s all I was asking.
I think Jett is great and great for the sport, but to go ahead and put him at the top of Mt Rushmore is premature.

What exactly did you think he did, didn't, should of, would of, gotten exposed? Jett rode just fast enough to win. The only thing Jett showed everyone was that he could ride faster than KR on that day. He doesn't ride faster than he needs to. So the question is just stupid. You still have no idea from that race if he could keep up with ET in beast mode. Why, because he only rides what he needs to for the specific race. All KR showed was that he was not enough of a challenge on that day, and I'm a huge KR fan.

All I’m saying is, Jett crashed 4 times in practice, did not have the fastest time in practice, did not have the fastest lap in the 2nd moto, crashed hard in the first moto, got passed straight up. None of this has happened in the first 3 rounds, Jett has been perfect. What Jett did at high point to go 1-1, countless other riders have done before. So, did KR affect that, or did Jett just have an off day. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by the eyeball test of watching all the greats race in person especially MC RC and JS and Jett hasn’t done anything next level to me yet.

No, Kenny didn't affect shit. Sometimes people crash, especially in those shitty conditions. Kenny was there and didn't change the results. So Jett did what Jett does, he rode only as fast as he needed to win, twice. You're very short sighted if you only address what your eyeballs see.

Kenny exposed just what I thought. Jett has been pacing everyone, including Chase all year and has multiple levels left above where he is riding.

Jett is just that good period end of story. If Tomac and Sexton were out there repeating their speed of last year then it would be a real challenge for Jett but without those two Jett has no comp. Get used to it.

I think Roczens ride actually exposed the weakness of what's left of the factory riders going right now. I think Tomac, Sexton and Jet would be mixing it up right now and the gap to 4th would be the same.

Pala: Jett was lucky the injured Chase didn't run him down. If Chase would have been at full speed things would have been different.

Hangtown: Depleted field and barely won.

Thunder Valley: Look at those privateers! Jett's really lucky!

Hi Point: Kenny came off the couch and pressured Jett into crashing. No way the win streak is gonna continue.

Expectation for Red Bud: Chase is going to be back and put Jett back where he belongs with the rookies.

Excuse in back pocket for Jett winning Red Bud: Chase wasn't ready, Dylan's Yamaha handles bad, Webb something something

These 1:1s have to be flukes, no way it could be talent, preparation, and race management alone.. / sarcasm

Jett is very good and will only get better, but geez, they are shoving this next level generational talent down our throats. Like I said in another post, he reminds me of Kdub without an RC. Time will tell if anyone steps up to be Jett’s RC.

Finally some people are waking up! I keep getting attacked by all the Jett fanboys on here when I mention Jett is getting a gift because 5 top guys are out. All it took was a half retired former Champ to come OFF THE COUCH and put down faster laps, chase Jett down and make him crash easily. Then once Roczen gets passed, he passes Jett back. Which, according to the fanboys, "no one can pass Jett back." The results don't show it, but Kenny just put a giant dent in the atmosphere of Jett's "dominance".

LOL. You mean the scoreboard with 6 top guys not racing? Yeah okay. Here's a fun fact for you; Jett has never won more than 5 motos in a row. And that was last year in 250's. He's beating who's there, yes. But only Ferrandis is a Title contender They're all still healing from injuries. Stop talking like Jett would have the same results if you bring back  #23,3,51,21,27,28. He's not THAT good. He could barely make it thru half his SX races without being on the ground. He's got the opportunity of "perfect timing" on his side right now. Very fortunate timing to move up to 450's for outdoors, and then EVERYONE that can arguably beat him, gets hurt. He better enjoy it now, gonna be a rude awakening when all the 30 year olds come back.

Wipe the froth from the corners of your mouth son.

Fact is Jett has risen to every racing challenge put before him.

You know...I agree with nrosso391 for the most part, but the fact remains that the 450 class is what it is this year and Jett has been successful at beating some pretty damned good riders even if the top-5 aren't there. He's good...better than the rest of the existing field anyway, and he'll have a pretty nice points cushion when Sexton comes back on the scene. I believe Chase will give him a good charge, but who knows if he'll have to work through any lingering issues before he's at his personal best. Personally, I think it'll be a Lawrence, Sexton, Plessinger battle for the rest of the season.

Agreed Chase should, if fully fit, give Jett some close competition.

But Plessinger?  Apart from one moto at  Hangtown he’s been anywhere up to 1:30 behind Jett.  He’d need a serious change to be a genuine challenger.

Realistically Chase is going to be the only one of that lot as a long term contender.

Eli obviously has the track record but he’ll be 31 if he lines up at A1 and coming off an Achilles tear.

The rest are all 30 and at the back end of their careers.  Between them all in the last three years they’ve got a couple of outdoor wins and a handful of podiums.

Ferrandis is 29, even Webb is 27.

Aside from Sexton, Jett’s long term competition isn’t coming from the current 450 ranks.

Be careful admitting to agree with me. The Jett Mob will attack you with everything. Like I said, Yes Jett is the fastest out of who's present, until Kenny gets back in shape. My other big question is: Since when did that HRC 450 get that many holeshots in Motocross? Seriously. Jett has NEVER been a consistent holeshot guy and somehow there he is in the top 1-3 of every holeshot since he got on that 450... Something a little extra in that bike this summer? And no one would dare protest him anyways because he's "the generational talent Lawrence". Something to think about.

We won't know if Chase has anything for Jett until they actually line up.  I dig Chase but I have a feeling he's gonna have issues trying to pace the Jett.  Can't wait.

How is Kenny out of shape ?  Just because he hadn't ridden outdoors much this year he's hardly out of shape.

And you don't think Star Yamaha or Pro Circuit would protest if they thought HRC we're cheating c'mon man that's just ridiculous smh.

Personally, I think it'll be a Lawrence, Sexton, Plessinger battle for the rest of the season.

That is way off base. His style and confidence fit that 450. His better starts are a reflection of that.

Aside from Sexton, Jett’s long term competition isn’t coming from the current 450 ranks.

this.. people think the current 450 riders are going to be racing for the next 5 years. Jetts almost 10 years younger than majority of the 450 class accept sexton.

aside from the crazy talent and speed.. Jetts timing into the sport is perfect

You know...I agree with nrosso391 for the most part, but the fact remains that the 450 class is what it is this year and Jett has been successful at beating some pretty damned good riders even if the top-5 aren't there. How is Kenny out of shape ?  Just because he hadn't ridden outdoors much this year he's hardly out of shape.

And you don't think Star Yamaha or Pro Circuit would protest if they thought HRC we're cheating c'mon man that's just ridiculous smh.

Insane of people to say Kenny is out of shape and that he has to race himself back up to speed. To think he wouldn't come out swinging if he was comfortable? Come on. Dude has embarrassed a lot of people at High Point numerous times too so you know he gels with that track.

sarcasm

You missed the biggest fluke, winning his first 450 race on the world stage at MXdN

You really fail to see that the 250 class is as nuts as it is... everything is a horsepower battle and Honda is not the fastest bike, plus it's not suited well (by comparison to the 450) to his riding style. It's not an easy class. The 450s have so much power you'll run out of talent before you run out of power. Jett has a lot of talent. Comparatively the top 10 in the 250 class are getting every ounce of what that class is worth.

You see the same thing between Moto2 and MotoGP.
