your just trying to hard now, the reel is out of line. Time to find another thing to beat to death.

id suggest something to do with deegan or Jett.

They're both proven to go 30 plus 2 with a sight lap.

What's more likely?

1) Stark Future has done their best to navigate the largest worldwide supply chain interruption in the history of the industrial age, all while developing a game-changing, brand-new product, and is thus behind in some aspects of their production, shipping and delivery timeframes, or;

2) Stark Future has deftly conspired to build only 21 of the game-changing products, while still having to handle all the R&D and supply chain problems, all so they can rip people off to the tune of $100 each?

I honestly don’t think stark planned to produce bikes…I think they were planning on a buyout and when that didn’t happen, they are scrambling to actually build bikes now and as a result of going with plan B, they are way way way behind schedule…and if they’d just be honest with everyone and explain that, rather than never offer an explanation, post watered down, cryptic and generic looking  pictures/videos on social medias, deliver one bike to one customer (who comes off as more of a paid Stark PR/sales guy than a customer) and then crickets about any “regular” customers (who didn’t get an invite to Spain, and who aren’t already famous) getting their bikes…it’s no wonder people are skeptical of them…their opaqueness and seemingly deliberate attempts to hide the true status are breeding the conspiracy theories.

I will be a Stark Varg customer one day, maybe in 2-3-4years time, but I do agree with Titan1, there are many companies (at least during the last 10years) who's plan is to make an 'exit'. Exit is the name of the game, not actually running the show for a long time. Hey, got the term SPAC companies the last few years.

Pure speculation of no value, not even saying it's so... just that between 2010-2020 there was a business mindset to 'exit' rather than build to last.

100% what I think as well. It's the marketing that brings the doubt in my mind. This "buyout model" is common in my work, different markets, but similar broad concept, and I think they wanted to build enough hype for KTM or Honda to buy them out before they had to mass produce bikes. And I think KTM and Honda know how hard it is to succeed, especially with global supply chain, and called their bluff per se and are now waiting on them to unfortunately fail. Could be 100% wrong, we all have opinions right lol.

This may or may not be true, but there's a difference between running a "buy-out model" in the software world and in the hardware world. Whatever the top management's plan for the company is, they assembled a team that designed and built the best production electric dirtbike that's ever existed and they should be complimented for that. This isn't a one-off garage special, it's a production engineered motorcycle that basically delivers what was promised. Who doesn't like new and interesting motorcycles? About a dozen guys on this message board.

All true, but how do you define "production"

So far , how many functioning Varg's have been seen in one place at the same time, all functioning ?

(Not including that photo of them in a row , or pictures of non-functioning demo/display bikes)

If the figure is less than 10, then many people would say it's not a production bike yet.

It's production because it was designed to be a production machine. The parts are production ready for suppliers, there may not be 18,000 of each part yet but there could be. By most accounts what they've managed to build is a pretty nifty motorcycle that doesn't show all the shortcuts you see in Chinese knock-off or new designs, or garage builds.

Will Stark make it as a company? I don't know, I hope so, they seem like high functioning people with big ideas, the world needs more people that dedicate their lives and have the money to design cool new motorcycles.

I don’t believe Bryan is paid by Stark, but I do believe the VIP treatment engenders loyalty.  It is human nature to love feeling special; he obviously loves being the first customer, and Stark probably feels like the money spent on air freight and whatever other frills they tossed his way is well spent.

Hard to claim lack of bias under these circumstances; doesn't mean his content is worthless, but I'm from the "show me" crowd I guess.

Desperate?  You’ve been on the forum for a month and 99% of your posts are in Stark threads, vehemently trying to talk down anyone who says anything negative…that sounds desperate.

I offered a guess (which I’ve acknowledged, repeatedly and across multiple threads, could be wrong) as to the delays, and then my opinion on how Stark has handled the delays from a PR/marketing perspective…how is that desperate for it to not be real?

I own an EMX bike…I’m not a hater…I think this bike looks awesome.

There is no way that was there plan. Buyouts take a long time. It would have taken even longer for them to develop and manufacture the bike if there plan was to be bought.

what your suggesting they should have done is announce the bike and that they don’t plan on producing it but instead hoping for a buyout so someone else can make it is INSANE.

You could be right…I guess they could have just drastically underestimated the number of pre sales…and found themselves with a factory that couldn’t possibly meet that demand…

who knows?

If you listen to the first Gypsy Tales interview with Anton he says just that.  He said they expected to  have around 5000 pre orders. So when  they got so many pre orders so fast, they went back to the drawing board to build a bigger factory. I do not remember if they went too far into how they changed the plans other than to be able to build a much larger number of bikes faster.

With Antons past history of building a company and selling it, I can understand why people might think that. But with all of his other  businesses he has built up and sold, he grew them to have real sales and did not sell an idea or concept.  The way Alta was run , looked more like what you are thinking is going on with Stark. Alta was in the development stage for what felt like forever, and after a failed deal with Harley they went away. I'm not saying to give them blind faith. Any company can go under. But they are not asking people to risk much $100.  I'm just saying that  big established brands are all having issues with sourcing stuff. So the relatively small setbacks do not seem to be anything to be alarmed about.

What incentive do they have to NOT make the bikes?? They have already talked about spending way more money than they have gotten from the deposits . And with the wait being  over a year if you placed an order today ( I think somebody posted sept 2024  as an ETA if you ordered on that day they posted) . Why would they not just make the bikes? Delivering bikes is when they will start to make some money back.  I imagine that they will not be making money until a lot of Vargs are delivered. Just spending it.

If they did get 18K pre orders , that's not even 2 Million dollars.  Even if their building is an empty warehouse with a single white wall and a few offices it would have cost them more than the deposits gave them. Seems like a bad scam to me. And for an established company to have invested $50M with them , for such a small % of Stark . That should give people faith. I'm sure that Stark had to show them much more info than what is public for them to write that check.

That's like saying "what incentive do Theranos have to make bogus blood tests?".

It can and does happen, especially to products with a lot of hype. I don't think this is the case with Stark, but it pays to be vigilant

They made devices and offered a service they sold though ?   They did not get all of that money from investors without making sales and delivering products and services. The product and or process just ended up being less than accurate.   I am not super familiar with entire situation , just what I read about it quickly. But they got in trouble for making stuff that didn't work how it should. They still made  items and ran tests.  If Stark was following this model they would build fake bikes.

Supply chain issues is currently a problem for all motorcycle manufacturers. Dealers can not even get parts to keep customers current bikes running.

KTM/Husqvarna/GASGAS customers that have been ordering parts for 2023 models and waiting many many months and are still not getting the parts. Lots of them are warranty problems.

1 supply chain issue example …. Customers that have ordered hard parts spare wheels and are not receiving them. Those same wheels are used on the Star Varg so there Is 1 huge issue for Star getting build parts.

What does suck is those same parts customers have ordered KTM/Husqvarna/GASGAS has had enough of the parts to build and supply dealers with the new 2024 models but customers are still waiting on their parts that they have already paid for.

I have been waiting on 1 part for close to 10 months.
