Curious if this is something people like? I've never been a fan, I find it distracting and it just makes for two worse quality pictures. I think the commentators find it distracting too.
I don't want this to be a complaining post, I think Peacock is insanely good value for 5 bucks a month but I'm genuinely curious if it's just me that doesn't like this feature.
Poll
I love it. Only way to see multiple things happening without being there!
I’m used to using multiple monitors on my PC, so choosing which “screen” I want to direct my eyes at isn’t difficult. I feel like they’ve been doing a pretty good job covering the exciting parts of the race.
Picture in picture is only cool if they actually use most of the screen. As is, 20% is dedicated to an inaccurate live timing board, 20% to each camera, 20% to the thor advert, and then there is 20% unused blue background just taking io empty space.
It's not that bad, at least during the race the interviews are not covering the entire screen.
It can always be better. Hint Hint...

It's shit
Pretty lame when half the screen is showing AP and Webb putting their boots on back at the tent while we are trying to watch the last lap battle for the 250 race
Look at the voids of used space. This angers me. I was way off on my 20% guesses. If you tucked everything on 1 side, it's more like 50% unused space.
Who honestly sits there, sees that and is like "bask in the glory of my creation"?
A decent idea , but they totally fucked the execution . There’s too much blank screen . It’s total shit .
I like it as long as both pictures are pertinent to the action at hand. Talking to a mechanic or team manager during a race doesn’t seem to add much.
on another note, one time they switched to a camera that was pointing straight up into the sky. Producers switch to a different camera in a split second…that cameraman must’ve been opening a beer at that moment.
They turn my 75 inch TV into two 20 inch TVs. 🤦♂️
Bondo did bondo things with it as well. Then go back to full screen and watch cooper ride 4 laps in no mans land. While a battle is happening with 4 riders 🤦♂️ never change bondo….
Can we please go back to using a timing ticker like Nascar? How do a bunch of drunk rednecks figure out how to do it better? For starters let's put the ticker on top or bottom, minimize its space and then you have alot more room to work with. This isn't rocket science, and we've already done it in the past, so why the change to a big ass box for timing? I don't think anyone cares that 35th place is down by -139.87 seconds anyways
The execution is complete stupidity, especially when they use drone shots for it. I fast forward past it. If I was the segment sponsor, I'd have second thoughts about my brand being associated with something that pisses the viewer off.
So glad we get to see the 450 class riders sipping water and signing autographs during the 250 moto …..
Not a fan. Nothing compared to the interviews while racing is under way.
Half the time it isn't even from the same damn class, I don't need to see Jettson walking to his bike for the next session.
I'm beating a dead horse, sorry 😂
I like it, but at no point should the battle for the lead be off the tube or in the small box if first and second are within two seconds of one another. If there is a battle for first I want the focus on that even if there is a good battle for 5th or 10th. The split can allow that, but the lead group should have priority if they are close.
Not impressed how it turns my 80" tv into a 13" viewing area.... lol. Hate it.
I like it if it keeps with the action, but using it to show 450 guys in the pits is pretty silly (unless it's a major part of the storyline, like Eli in Denver).
Pit Row
I wonder why the National Felon League doesn't use picture in picture.....
PIP sucks.
Production crew should be fired and start fresh.
Blows because it's not used correctly don't need to see the 450 riders in the pits getting ready. Also tired of the position grid taking up part of the screen. Go back to when it scrolled across the top. Also don't need stupid graphics taking up screen space.
I like the concept, but not the current execution. Way too much wasted screen space.
Full screen for the main and a small box for the in screen shot. What I hat is the fact that the way they do it half my 75 in TV is wasted background.
Absolutely not, Fire Bondo
If they got rid of the leaderboard and went full 50/50 it would work well.
If there are two battles going on, absolutely. I do not need to see guys in the pits getting ready for the next race on half my screen though.
^ THIS ^
It's not a wonder. It's because the action is in one place and then they have breaks to focus on specific player interactions on replay. Sometimes they split on replays.
No one is complaining in football that their riders are not getting exposure during the event.
The split screen is ok if it showing racing, but the live timing thing does my head in surely it can be done better like someone else said like Nascar do it so it doesn't take up so much space.
Still sucking again
