What is a fact is that among those developing schizophrenia, more people smoke weed than the standard population does. BUT in this same group even more people smoke standard cigarettes than the rest of us. I'm sure alcohol is more common as well. The conclusion is that all people ending up in shit seems to live more dangerously before they end up being really sick. In that line of destructiveness, cigarettes, alcohol and all sorts of drugs might be consumed. So you can in these cases basically say cigarettes lead to all this shit if you feel an urge to blame substances.
Still if the alcohol and weed came to the western world at the same time, I would for sure choose weed since it cost society far less.

As part of my work I deal with people who abuse all sorts of drugs and I can tell you that Hash, makes you paranoid, cause depression and mental health issues. Does affect your motor skills severely, as well as your ability to realize what is going on around you, making you a danger to every other rider on the track.
Before you say alcohol cause the same problems in society, yes i agree, but i wouldn't want to share an mx track with someone that has been drinking before riding either.
Its not cool to get high then go riding!! More doping tests is needed i reckon!
