Jett can cruise around at 80% and potentially still win all the motos… they had DF covered by like 45 seconds at the end of Moto 2 last weekend.

I'm already sick to my stomach with all the Jett fanboy posts!

If what Chase says is right regarding having a pretty substantial fall that day in practice, on top of the Mono, he could've been impaired and not running at his usual 100%. I'm not minimizing Jett's amazing performance, but I don't believe he can beat everybody else at their 100% while riding his 80%. He's going to have good days and not so good days like everybody else. And, coming back from what DF is coming back from...he did pretty damn well to be where he was.

They obviously weren't around in 2015 when the same things were being said about Eli....

A 56 points lead with 9 rounds to go (18 motos, 3x18 = 54), hum, that is a hard one. Plus tbh I think Sexton may need more than 1 week to be back at 100%. Sx hangover, less testing, concussion, mono, that is already a long list ... He will come back swinging in 24 ...

With EBV/Mono he is out more than one round which means a lot of guys will have huge points leads over Chase. Even if Jett gets hurt there are 5 other guys that will have 100+ points leads over Chase after two missed rounds. He is going to have to shut it down for a while to get over EBV or it will just linger into SMX and 2024 SX-MX, etc.

RC4 had EBV in his last partial MX season. He did ok but he also skipped a lot of rounds.

The rest of this series will look like Reed's 2009 outdoors. Jett won't sweep, but he will be chillin' comfortably in the points...

22 rounds.

2 "rounds" each weekend.

Zero point rounds will quickly add up.

(No pun intended)

Personally,  I want Chase to fully recover.

(And have a long, productive career no matter who he races for)

He may be out of the championship game, but he can still come back later and win motos.

Chase 's biggest competitor is him self, he crashed in practice and that affected his moto's, he crashed again this week in practice and now out again for how long is not confirmed.

He need to sort his own demons out first then there will be a competition.

1 pebble + no handguard = no championship.. one I'll timed foot dab. One sketchy lapper.  COVID 20. Just a little more of Chase or Dylans front fender. ALl kinds Of weird shit happens when it gets hot.  Let's not give Jett the trophy yet. Chase was just gifted an SX championship, I'm sure he'll take  MX one as well.

You say that Chase was "gifted" the SX championship. Actually Chase gifted more points than he was gifted. Lead more laps than Cooper and Eli even before they were hurt and fastest lap times and threw it away 5 times. Eli and Cooper would have been behind Chase in points before they were injured if not for those gifts. Bottom line is the guy with the most points wins. Just happened to be the rider that also led the most laps and had the fastest lap times.

Write off 2023 as worst season in history. (SX and MX)

2023 was one of the best SX seasons of all time for 2/3 of the series. Several riders winning. Even Plessinger almost had a win. Lots of action until the final two rounds.

Concussion protocol is why he out,  pretty sure he would race with the mono as he did at Pala

Denver SX 2023.

Also Denver (Thunder Valley) MX 2015.

Remind me plz

Eli absolutely dominated Glen Helen and Hangtown, then was dominating Thunder Valley when he crashed and broke both of his shoulders.

As for this season, it may just be wishful thinking, but I see Ferrandis riding a lot better this weekend and making a fight of it. He has the speed to run with Jett, and now he has the first race jitters out of the way, so I say game on.

Thankfully, the 250 class is very exciting and competitive.  Only time will tell in the 450 class.  I don't think it is smart to write off any rider at this point given all the crazy shit that has happened this year.

Yep, worth tuning in for the 250's alone...

RJ goes 1-9 this week??

I have a funny feeling Webb is going to be on top of the points at the end.

Yes, his plan of jumping in last minute and being mediocre outside...

see ya sunday dave.  Chase will be fine, and when he comes back the current leaders will have to push hard for the whole race and with that the rest of the season.  Just like sx.  see it's stupid hard to maintain this stuff, and he has proven he lasts.  So now we will see the rest without him.  Once he comes back it will even more competitive with his drive.

It's pretty laughable how quickly people forget how dominant DF was when he won the championship.  He has hardly had any time on track outdoors since then.  He still can do what he did before. He's my pick!

Forgiving weather, a 3 week break, and a 3 sec/lap gap on a depleted field?
